Space Jam: A New Legacy (2021)
Warn a Brother! Do not watch this product placement excuse of a movie!
While I was watching this soulless trash receptacle of a product placement promotional movie I wondered how can anyone effffff up such an simple concept of Looney Tunes and basketball?
No more comments, I'm speechless.
Nekas mus neaptures (2019)
Where can I sign up for waterboarding so I can forget this torture?
If you would ask me the great question - do I recommend you to watch this movie? I would answer - definitely yes, if you love physical and mental torment. Otherwise I would recommend you to don't waste your life by watching this senseless garbage.
I don't want to waste my time to make a frame by frame analysis so long story short this disastrously performed piece is filled with meaningless dialogues which will lead you straight to nowhere and in the end you will ask yourself - why?
Summary:
Meaningless script
Awful story telling / directing
Disastrous acting
Terrible cast
At Eternity's Gate (2018)
The art of filmaking
I don't want to call this film a biographical film because this film is something much more than that. This film itself is a piece of art.
The marvelous cinematography, the great cast and brilliant acting of Willem Dafoe with a touch of Julian Schnabel's directing is an attempt to touch, to achieve something untouchable, something higher and incomprehensible to our worldly minds, and the films title "At Eternity's Gate" suddenly gains it's meaning.
I don't know if this is a gift from God or a gift from nature but I know that this is a true love for art.
Baltu Ciltis (2018)
Merchant Lars journey through the early 13th century Baltic tribe lands
The story takes place in early 13th century in the midst of Northern Crusades. Protagonist merchant Lars comes from the lands who have long adopted Christianity and travels to the last pagan populated areas in Europe to trade with local Baltic tribes and is being drawn in a lot of unexpected events.
The whole story is narrated by the Lars point of view and there isn't any single dialogue in the whole movie. During his journey the story is enriched with the historical facts of that period of time as we know it of local tribe lifestyle and traditions. Despite the fact that there wasn't much of an acting, the actors still did a good job and it didn't ruin the whole picture.
This whole concept very intrigued me because there was left a huge blank space which was filled with a great cinematography which served as a great foundation for this movie to really succeed and between all that the beautiful animations added more artistic value to this gem.
This movie is nor action, nor adventure movie or another blood driven viking flick but beautifully told story filled with historical facts as we know it today to visualize the early 13th century Baltic tribe lands.
If you're interested in history or you like a beautiful cinematography and want to please your eyes give this movie a try.
Paradize 89 (2018)
Latvian movie for Latvia's centennial
As stated this movie is intended for "(Latvian) children of all ages / eras" and has received government monetary support which of course has built higher anticipation and expectations around the movie.
In the end there is more than a disappointment because this movie has no story line and no scenario. It's so lazy done that you can take out which should be the cornerstone of this movie the Baltic Way and swap with what ever event and era you like and nothing will change. There are no artistic value and there are no historic value in this movie. All they are doing is trying so hard to play "the good 'ol days" and "beautiful childhood" cards but in the end this is so poor, so lazy and so not intriguing piece of nothing.
This movie is so bad that I'm sad it took away the government monetary support from 15 other movies.
And if you have a chance to choose what to do between watching this movie or how paint is drying, choose the paint. You won't be disappointed.
