History's Greatest Mysteries: The Body on Somerton Beach (2022)
Solved in July 2022
Spoilers ****
Solved through DNA in July 2022
Not a spy, not an American. Just a sad lonely, mentally ill and suicidal man whose life ended via cardiac arrest on a beach. No one in his family really knew him or where he was, so his disappearance from their lives made sense to them.
The over the top theories put forward in this episode, show no one on this show even bothered to google this case - as there has been regular updates since 2009. Doesn't bode well for the other episodes i.e. Mothman was also totally debunked long ago.
It's important to remember Occam's Razor -if you have two competing ideas to explain the same phenomenon, you should prefer the simpler one.
Spicks and Specks: Episode #12.2 (2022)
Just for young millennials now...
They have Myf, Alan & Adam still, but all the guests are young performers- little known to die hard loyal fans of Spicks - this is pretty much the new formula thus far. Sadly long time watchers are left out and can't participate at home anymore. The march of time is inevitable, but you've lost this family - we'll stick to the repeats of Spicks from its glory days.
And Just Like That... (2021)
Glory days.....
... are gone
Read the room
Move on and do something else
You do not represent the majority of humans, let alone women
Please stop listening to your publicists, agents, followers..... they have an agenda
This was incredibly disappointing.
Spencer (2021)
If you had any empathy for Diana, don't watch this.
You'll just think she's a spoiled little rich girl if you get through this..... not historical or empathetic, just trash. Nothing new to be learnt and just a cash in for the makers of it.
Neil Brand's Sound of TV (2020)
UKTV enthusiasts will enjoy
Very UK specific and targetted to same. Any one from another country would feel bemused by the grandiose claims of greatest this and most famous that, when you've never heard nor seen any of these things ( no, I am not a millennial) in my country. Some of the interviewees are the most narcissistic people I've ever heard. But good for background sound while scrolling through the never ending Covid news.
Zombie House Flipping (2016)
Watch with the sound muted
I like to watch this show with the sound muted to avoid all the 'acting and drama' set up by the 4 actors, the best bits are the before and after segments, effectively 5 minutes. I feel sorry for the actual trades people who have to stand by and watch the 'stars' muck about being completely unprofessional. The final straw was the buried treasure episode when they destroyed the terrazza floor ( immensely expensive in my country) and then covered it in laminate (cheapest option) - imbeciles.
