Profit (1996–1997)
If it had been on HBO it would have buried anything on TV
26 August 2005
People often go on about the death of network television and wonder why networks like HBO are simply crushing network TV, and I can point to Profit and say here is a primary example of why Networks can't compete.

This show is simply shocking, revolving around perhaps one of the most evil main characters to grace network TV, with a very dark past, and an even darker present. Fox simply got cold feet because it was just too much for 1996 and the majority of the Bible Belt went nuts over the concepts in this show and just crushed it. It was too smart for Fox which is really unfortunate, but if it had been on HBO two or three years later and they would have been allowed to truly get into the dark angle of this show that only cable networks seem to be able to do, we would be discussing how many Emmy's Adrian Pasdar had won.

I never watched it on TV, and the DVD was my first chance to really get a look at it, and it was simply light years ahead of its time.

Firefly (2002–2003)
Perhaps the Best Original Sci Fi in YEARS
26 August 2004
When I hear people comment on how horid this show was, I can pretty safely say that they never watched more then ten minutes of it.

This show brought something unique to sci-fi its call STORYLINE, there were no crazy aliens or stuff like that but a well done story, characters that are interesting not the standard Sci Fi junk, it was interesting just understanding the backgrounds of some of the characters made the show worth it, any story in the show was a bonus and let me tell you a HUGE bonus,

This show would have been huge if Fox had simply given it a bit more of a push, and not given it Dark Angels awful timeslot.

I had never seen the show till I had purchased the DVD, partly because by the time I knew what it was Fox had yanked it.

I truly hope that DVD sales are high enough to warrent another run by this show, it it really quite good

Club Dread (2004)
10/10
An Excellent and Underrated Movie,
14 May 2004
This is not a thinking man's movie, It aims at those of us who don't want to put too much thought into whats funny. This movie was excellent plain and simple. Broken Lizard from Puddle Cruiser, to Super Troopers to now Club Dread has become better and better. This is one of those jems that no one really gets to see because of its limited release, but I assure you its very well done. Its also fairly well written, I think people have forgotten the point was to make a cheesey horror movie spoof and they did just that anyone who has seen the off horror picture will get most of the reference and get a laugh out of the well developed Characters,
