Dune: Part Two (2024)
The Empire strikes back of this Generation.
Im the one who never read the books. I dont know if its better to knew the stuff or be suprised by story arcs. I dont know if we follow -anakin or luke... in which direction it will go, i will spend my money for that, i want more. Because Cinema is build for Big Scale Motion Pictures like that. There will be People outside, saying overhyped, i say no, Dune 2 gets the Hype, this crew around Denis Villeneuve deserve.
More of Zimmer, more of Fraiser and more of one of the best sound designs in movie history. More of Villeneuves Vision and more knowledge about Pauls and Shanis Path.
From technical view, Dune 2 is one of the most phenominal movies in this decade.
I'm thankful for the entire crew, we love you for your service.
Oppenheimer (2023)
Who can make this material into a blockbuster?
Nolan sticks to his style, a style that for some doesn't fit into the quieter, dialogue-based Oppenheimer... I say:Sure! Because that is what makes it a fever dream, a pulsating suspense narrative, a "what if" scenario that constantly asks itself, a story that changed the world, and a man whose dilemma explodes the mind and decided an entire century.
The big visually impressive blockbusters with all their battles and epic scenarios, whether in the future or the past, will always be loved...
But tell me the story of a man who created the weapon to save the world and then destroy it without showing war. Without physical confrontation, without blood. And still stare spellbound at the screen for 3 hours. That's the art of filmmaking... and that's what makes it an absolute masterpiece!
Dune (2021)
Modern Masterpiece... brilliant directing und slow paced storytelling
I think, for many people out there youll find some negative stuff or critics in Dune. But one thing is undisputed... the visuals, the score , the sets , the actors are Made for cinema and a big reason why cinema never dies. The slow paced storytelling is an unique art nowadays. I liked it so much. A modern Masterpiece.
