Rakhta Charitra (2010)
Revenge like NEVER BEFORE
One word to describe Rakht Charitra is "Revenge." There are many movies which fall under the genre of revenge drama. But never before has come a movie which shows revenge as it should be. The villains are so ruthless that the audience too join in the fight with the hero to take revenge on them. The story is not new or path-breaking.Nor the Director intended it to be one. But the treatment, the scenes, the background score, the direction, the acting( Vivek Oberoi is Brilliant and Abhimaniyu Singh is Outstanding) take this movie to another level. The end credits make the viewers long for the Second part. For the first time a movie has come which can truly be called a "Guy movie." So ladies, please stay away and wait for Karan Johar's next. And Guys- Don't miss it, it tests your masculinity.
Aakrosh (2010)
A Hard Hitting Saga
Aakrosh boasts of a very good star-cast. But in the past we have seen many movies falter despite having a great star-cast. The reason (very obvious)----Lack of a good Story Line. Well, its this aspect in which Aakrosh takes the lead from others. In India, the movies are made around the Interval. Its often that a movie builds its mood up-to the interval and then takes pace. But Aakrosh takes just initial 5 minutes in building the mood and manages (with aplomb)in keeping it up. The story is gripping. The action sequences are top-notch. The songs are few and well placed. The background score is terrific and the performances are fantastic. Though there is an excess of violence but it goes with the feel of the movie.
Overall, a good movie which should not be missed.
