SeaQuest DSV (1993)
Good start
I really liked the first season of this show, for all it's randomness it was still a nice change. Although it needed more work on the relationships between the characters, the first season's characters were the best. I even liked the much-criticised talking dolphin (what 12 year old wouldn't??)
Season two - it was all down hill from there (with the man-eating plant, etc) and you stopped caring. Then they went into space and came back 10 years later with a new name. I stopped watching at this point.
Could have been done much better.
She'll Take Romance (1990)
Not bad . . .
. . . but then again, not that good either. Cast do okay with an un-dynamic script - by far the best moment is when reporter April August is injured by a falling plastic moon. Weather presenter Linda Evans is then saddled with finding the 'Most Romantic Man' following the falling plastic moon incident.
She is engaged to a very boring but perfectly nice judge but encouraged by her teenage, romance novel-obsessed daughter to find someone more 'dynamic'.
Needless to say she ends up involved with a contestant and then it all goes pear-shaped.
Typical Lifetime/WE offering. 'Melodrama' but someone forgot to add the drama. Story line is heavily sign-posted.
