A good rom-com from bollywood after a long time

Before going for this movie, i had minimal expectations for this movie as there were comparisons drawn between this one and wht hppnd in vegas....but to clear the air, its no where similar to it in fact this one is better than that. Don't know why but i was reminded of 500 days of summer while watching this.

Now coming to movie, it starts slowly. First 15 minutes are just decent, nothing great. But after this movie takes pace, when both leads start a journey of their lifetime. Plot is quite predictable but the treatment is quite unique from the first time director. There are so many light, comic moments thereafter that will keep u engaged and smiling at same time.

Regarding performances, kareena is in full form after playing feedle to khan's in ra one and bodyguard. She had owned this role completely. She was fantastic. Imran Khan was surprisingly good. Normally i don't like him except in Janne tu and Delhi belly. This was his best performance till date. All other supporting cast was good too.

Special mention for the ending which differentiates it from all other standard rom-coms. Ending is much realistic and was cheery on the cake.

Simply loved this movie and will recommend to go for this if u r a fan of rom-coms like Notting Hill, 500 days of summer etc. Recommended.

a decent movie if u have watched Italian job....excellent if u haven't watched the original

I have watched both the Italian job (1969 & 2003).....what i was expecting here was the Indian version of Italian job....and honestly i was not disappointed.....movie was fast, thrilling and beautifully shot....the twists were same as original with few added twists which were not as effective neither in positive way nor negative way....

Neil was given the role which Edward Norton played in original....he acted good but still something was missing in his performance...AB was good and performed as a tough guy as he has done in his earlier movies...he looked comfortable in this role...bipasha is getting monotonous in her recent flicks but still she had brilliant screen presence but her character in this movie was not that strong...sonam looked hot in this movie but that was the only good part about her because she doesn't know how to act...bobby deol was good in his brief role...sikandar kher was decent...johnny lever and omi vaidya provided few laughs... overall this movie was fast paced thriller and had all the ingredients to be a successful mass entertainer...movie was beautifully shot....little unrealistic as its original version but still complete paisa vasool...better than recent no brainers which provide crap on the name of comedy.....

i will suggest GO FOR GOLD......

Bhindi Baazaar Inc. (2011)

Majority Audience may not accept it!!!!

Before giving my opinion on this movie i will like to tell u this incidence which will give u a whole lot of indication about this movie. When i was watching this movie in hall, next to me there were 4 ladies sitting nd watching this movie. After interval when movie started,hardly after 10 minutes they left the theater nd their wordings were "it's too much...oh god".....

So it's quite clear that this movie is strictly not for family audiences.....n one more thing that baffled me was that on first day of this movie the hall was hardly 10 % filled....so it's the biggest irony of Indian cinema where the movies like ready have opening weekend worth 42 crores nd movies like this nd shaitan may not cross 50 lakhs....

Now coming back to movie it is definitely inspired from Tarantino's movies....the dialogs were really harsh nd realistic...which doubled the impact of this movie....

The way of telling the story was great nd unique...the whole narration was done with the help of game of chess and all the characters were depicted in the game of chess. Nothing was spoonfeeded to audience...it tested the smartness of people...the use of flashback was awesome....there were some hot scenes which sometimes felt required nd sometimes forced. No doubt that many people specially in India will find it offensive but then as i already said this movie is not for everyone..the people who enjoy the hardcore crime cinema will surely like it...

i don't know why but i felt that this movie was one way or not, quite similar to Hollywood epic " once upon a time in America" and the people who enjoyed it and movies like pulp fiction, goodfellas etc will surely like it....

The last 2 weeks were quite good for me with Shaitan nd then Bhindi Bazzar after suffering from the thing called "ready".... People who look for different cinema should go for it.....

but be sure to keep ur kids at home nd not ur brains :-D

People r complaining about the length of the movie.....movie being bore.....what they expected from this movie???? a 90 minutes fast paced brainless comedy.....as far as i m concerned i expected a engaging,gripping depiction of a true story about a incident in history of independence of India which is not very well known to most of the public....and i was not disappointed.... In fact movies of this genre are meant to be made in this way....they take there time to narrate various incidents.Various Hollywood movies like Schindlers List, The pianist etc were the movies of same genre telling the true stories from the history and there running time was more than KHJJS and they are regarded as all time masterpieces in west but unfortunately the same type of effort in our country will be stated as lame and boring. This a must watch movie for all the cine goers who prefer meaningful,informative and gripping cinema..... 8.5/10

a very good psychological thriller

I watched this movie today and i must tell u that not many bollywood movies are as gripping as Hollywood movies but this movie is at par with any Hollywood flick......... 1st half is average but watchable and in 2nd half movie picks up real pace....its a perfect thriller.....u keep guessing till the last moment......what more u want..... some people may draw parallels with fight club but i tell u this is quite different from that and really a good movie..... Two things i didn't liked were: 1- Deepika doesn't know how to act and she proves it again. 2- the last scene of the movie looked like as it forced into movie for Indian audiences.....if they have not put that scene then the ending would have been perfect....... but anyhow this was a very good movie....farhan rocks......a very good psychological thriller..........
