Man of Steel (2013)
Why changing the character?
OK, lets review this dumb movie point by point (I am a fan of Superman but not of this movie)
There was no need to go deep into the Krypton destruction arch, there were so many questions without answers and everything stops once the baby leaves the planet.
Clark Kent being unable to save Jonathan Kent when we all know that superman can do with his super speeds or flights was just plain lazy writing.
Why starting off this new universe with General Zod... Make Superman fight his primary enemy, Lex Luthor!!!
General Zod talks in an earthling manner referring to years and distances... how come if he just arrived to this planet he talks that way.
Total disregard of Superman to the safety of the people while fighting Zod... the essence of Clark Kent/ Superman character is that they are both "super" honest, upright, mild mannered... but this superman alienates all of that by disregarding the city of millions of people.
The ending does not make any sense, the destruction of a city that just had a hole dug to the center of the Earth is suddenly OK-ish as Clark Kent is seen back at the Daily Planet with a business as usual mindset...
The special effects were good, specially on the city fight but the story did not make any sense as I would be expecting people to be angry when this alien destroys the place you live in.
You're the Worst: Fists and Feet and Stuff (2014)
First Season Final
Only a handful of season finals will leave a big smile on the viewers face as this episode did. Characters define themselves and shows the path of their futures which is a big departure of other shows whose main point at every season final is not to wrap up the stories but only to set up a new season. You're the Worst had the perfect balance between this two ideas.
The performance of Lindsay (Kether Donohue) at the end of the party was topnotch.
