DELON & BARDOT TOGETHER !!!!
16 April 2003
Fellini, Malle... greats directors for an extraordinary movie based on the novel by Edgar Allan Poe. Magnificent stories where many giants like Alain Delon, Terence Stamp or Brigitte Bardot make the cinematographic dreams for us. An excellent film in technicolor!!!

Sensational cast of giants!!! ALAIN DELON IS UNFORGETTABLE!!
16 April 2003
Enchants this film to Me because it is directed with masterful hand by a sensational director as Julien Duvivier. This film is not inferior other more prestigious films in front of like "Tales of Manhattan".

Wonderful scenes rolled in Black and White and interpreted very well by many stars of exception: Danielle Darrieux, Françoise Arnoul, Fernandel, Mel Ferrer, Micheline Presle... but the best is ALAIN DELON, who shows why is one of the best actors in the world. I have seen this film 15 times. It catches of convincing the different episodies without boring. It's very interesting to see it.

Would be advisable that this magnificent film saw everybody it because it has everything: love, humor, passion, suspense... and unfergettables performances by greats stars !!!

Action-Emotions-Passion... and SARA MONTIEL !!!
16 April 2003
Excellent and strange western co-produced among Mexico and US that does not fall before other films of this genre directed by specialists as John Ford, Henry Hathaway, Delmer Daves or John Sturges. This film itself about enough in style to Allan Dwan or Rudolph Maté with an unmistakably Mexican flavor.

The presence of the great Spanish actress Sara Montiel and of the marvelous one Veronica Lake turn out to be very wise.

And there are, of course, all the ingredients of the western: pursuits, shots, horses, hard men and beautiful women.. Unforgettable.

ACQUANETTA, AN ACTRESS FOR THE HISTORY !!!!
16 April 2003
A small jewel among the short filmography of the unequal actress Acquanetta, that will charm to all its fans. It is an entertained and quite related history in powerful "supercinecolor" with all the topics of this type of films where the sumptuous scenography is worthy of mention.

In this film we see the beautiful Acquanetta far away of her characteristic wild roles of woman to the ones that was usual in the Universal and shows that was a versatile actress who in the role adequate, she could show that was an exemplary actress.

A great deal has been spoken on some movies that have resisted the step of the time without to have been directed by large names, and this film is one of them. I expect that the time put the things in its place and Acquanetta even to the history as an actress of indelible legend.

VERONICA LAKE IS A QUEEN OF THE HUMOR!!!!
16 April 2003
Wild and amused comedy very little well-known between the films of George Marshall, with surprising scenes that will make enjoy to all the lovers of the good humor.

Between the great actresses of the comedy it is necessary to add another name: Veronica Lake, a wonderful actress who demonstrated to have a fine talent for the high comedy and who locates it between the greatest of this genre like Katharine Hepburn, Marilyn Monroe, Grace Kelly, Carole Lombard, Judy Hollyday or Betty Grable. And one of the more beautiful...

splendid film of war

MONTGOMERY CLIFT IS SUPERIOR !!!!! We are in front of one of greatest war films of history. Magnificent scenes by Dmytryk, an excellent director of movies who tells a dramatic story about the horror of war. All the actors are splendids, Montgomery Clift specially who plays with too sense his rol. Brando is great, but MONTY IS SUPERIOR !!! Probably Montgomery Clift is better than ever in this film. Even the germany actor Maximilian Schell is more talented than Brando, allthought many persons don't think it.

Vive la Resistence
27 March 2003
"¿Is Paris burning?" Hitler asked this when the war was finished...

A french and american co-production, it's a long movie about the french resistence. The excellent direction by Rene Clement shows one of the more importants battles in the History of war. I would like to see the director's cut version of this film. Many international stars appear in this movie like Glenn Ford, Kirk Douglas, George Chakiris, Gert Froebe, Anthony Perkins, Robert Stack, Orson Welles... but the french actors are the greats players here: Charles Boyer, Leslie Caron, Pierre Vaneck, Jean-Paul Belmondo, Simone Signoret, Claude Rich... The best of this film is Alain Delon, a wonderful actor as resistance member Chaban-Delmas, fighting for the liberty of his country. I love "Paris brûle-t-il?" because is a strong story that damns the war and tells between us a battle for the Liberty.

Splendid film about the sea
27 March 2003
It's very important to tell this movie filmed in Mexico with beautiful scenes in Tabasco likes all the people who begins to see. An excellent cast with mexican actors, a well-crafted script and an extraordinary use of Black & White, add up to one of the great movies in all times.

There is a great moment captured by the cameras: the friendship between fishers from that mexican town and their love for the sea. It gives to you a desire: travel to Mexico...

How to be a great actrees
27 March 2003
Based on a famous novel by Terence Rattigan, "Separate tables" is, today, one of the more important movies in the filmography of Rita Hayworth. She appears more beautiful than ever here, without youth, but with high elegance, playing only like the greatest actrees of cinema; her dramatic talent, here, is over other magnificent stars. Deborah Kerr, David Niven, Burt Lancaster or Wendy Hiller are excellents player, but i'm afraid that anybody was as great as Miss Hayworth.

Thank you, Rita. You 're special.

A film noir and three vamps
27 March 2003
When I want to see a black movie I prefer the appareance of the vamps who can play their roles convincingly. This is an splendid "film noir", and the whole cast are excellent with Barbara Stanwyck, Ava Gardner and Cyd Charisse especially extraordinaries. They are the spirit of the picture, about outlaw men, corrupted women, guns and too much emotions... I saw this movie for 17 times.
