Romeo & Juliet (2021)
Why mess with a classic?
When I heard Jessie Buckley was in Romeo and Juliet I thought maybe she was playing the Nurse or perhaps Lady Capulet. But no, She's cast as the young(?) lover Juliet. I don't think it is possible to improve on Zeffirelli's version as shown in the Luhrmann attempt. Going modern was no excuse to cast Juliet at twice her age. I abandoned watching at that point.
Broke (2020)
Poor Pauley
What a stinking turd CBS has released into the airwaves. Not a single laugh. Not even a chuckle. At best it was an attempt at ethnic diversity. Hopefully it will be pulled from the schedule immediately. Why was Life In Pieces cancelled and dreck like this put into production. The only two remotely positive reviews have to be ringers.
Indebted (2020)
Dreck Dreck Dreck
Can you remember when Thursday nights were must see tv? Shows like this will quickly eliminate that from your memory. Abby Elliott sounded so much like Kaley Cuoco doing Penny I looked repeatedly to see if she was doing a cameo. Alas, no. I never laughed, chuckled or even grinned throughout the which passed as writing. The kids appeared to be an afterthought. NBC, cancel this asap.
Chappaquiddick (2017)
Another tale of half truths
Read the book Chappaquiddick Speaks for a more plausible explanation of what really happened. This movie is typical Hollywood hooey.
