Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One (2023)

Absolutely no spoilers

Reall great action scenes and a ver interesting main villian which I m glad wasnt revealed in the promotional material. Hayle Atwell is a great addition I'm glad to see the team back together and sprinting from country to country while being chased by more or less everyone.

The tone slides a bit more noticably than the previous movies in the series. Between scenes that are not only funny but fillmed and played as funny to deadly serious but the stor moves quickly enough that this is more noticable upon reflection after the fact.

The antaganist played by Easi Morales isnt the best villian in the series , his story is far from over so I feel its too soon to pass judgement on him The movie "Ends" well as a halfway point. Easily earning its just shy of 3 hour run time

Strongly recommend looking forward to sequel.

Zack Snyder's Justice League (2021)

What I thought

Pros: It is much better than the theathrical release including character developmet for Wonder Woman, Cyborg and a less suicideal batman. Less of the posed smiling paticularly from the beautiful Gal Gadot. Henry Cavill gets the black suit, Cyborg gets a storyline. Finally Flash is actually good and far less cringy. Affleck and Gadot had amazing chemistry and dropping the Steve Trevor grief subplot really helped

Cons: the abusive levels of slow motion, this could have been 3 hours. If they were too keep the slow motion for the Fash scenes which was a good idea they should have been dropped from everyone else. It did not need to be R Rated, bad language was put in to push it to an R the violence wasnt enough for that.

All over while sometimes long it and I wasnt ever really sold on the Snyderverse it is a significant improvement on the honestly painful and disappointing but not the most worst of the DC movies.

Worth a try and honestly I'm glad it was made. I would definately try a Batfleck movie/series or a sequel to this. Hoping they retain Gadot, Affleck and Cavill as their characters.

A disappointment

A fantastic story poorly adapted and the ending changed for no apparant reason. The story was rushed and I think it should probably have been done like the Dark Knight Returns in two parts the story ran for a year in the comics. On the positive side the voice acting was ok. The art was incredible. Probably would have enjoye it more if I hadnt read the source material first

A fitting ending to the Infinity War story

There are a handfull of lose ends that people may choose to focus on and a few characters dont quiet get their moment to shine but this was an amazing film. It doesnt feel like 3 hours (like I care I'm looking forward to a back to back viewing with Inifinity War) the last act alone is worth the price of admission

Hellboy (2019)

As different from the original as Keaton Batman to Bale

I am a casual reader of the comics and really enjoyed the Del Toro films, so I went into this with some expectations and I have to say I enjoyed this. The effects were good, not great. It was quiet dark compared to the previous incarnation. Some of the kills were fairly goary so it earns its rating. I liked David Harbour but have to admit I prefer Pearlman. For anyone who hasnt seen director Neil Marshalls excellent Dog Soldiers a low budget werewolf thriller I strongly recommend it.

Vengeance Unlimited (1998–1999)

A should've been classic

Between the smart writing, great guest cast and leads in Madssen and York this should have been a classic but unfortunately it didnt get past episode 13. On a positive note it means the show didnt last long enough to hit a bad patch but honestly it is one of a small number of shows I wish had gotten a full series/ mlti series run. Great msic and temendous promos which can be found on youtube
