Ruby Gillman, Teenage Kraken (2023)
Not often when my kids ask if they can watch something else...
I've sat down and watched many many new moviews with my daughters. Most the time I can get into the movie. Sometimes I get into it a lot, sometimes its just meh, but they usually love it. This movie, before I even said a word, they asked if they could watch something else, I was a bit shocked really. I thought it was absolutely awful from the beginning, it was a straight rip of pieces of other movies like Red Panda and Little Mermaid and it just felt straight up lazy. The voice acting was the worst I've ever seen to be frank and was even a bit annoying. The animation was super basic, and not interesting either. Just an obvious attempt at a money grab by Dreamworks.
Willow (2022)
I tried to like it...
I really wanted to like this show as I really enjoyed the original movie. The first two episodes, I was like OK its a bit cheesier than I would like but let's hang in there. The third episode was what did me in, some of the worst sword play I've ever seen. It was truly horrific.
Not only is the acting just terrible, the writing terrible, but the stunts are also terrible. I honestly don't know how this made it out the door without serious re-editing or something.
It really didn't offer any allure the original movie had. I can handle poor cheezy stunts if for instance the story is interesting. Buts it's just a huge snooze fest.
Very disappointed!
Moonfall (2022)
One of the worst SciFi movies I have ever seen...
Where to start? This movie had nothing good about it, at all. Not even one tiny sliver. Everything, literally everything about this movie sucked. Nothing made sense. I would say it's a B movie because the graphics are decent, but the acting, dialogue, story, etc. Pushes it to a C movie really.
Passengers (2016)
Thoroughly enjoyed this movie...
I really enjoyed this movie, I never understood the hate. I realize that putting uncomfortable human decisions out in the open like that make a ton of people feel super guilty about their own decisions in life. Boo hoo! Get over it, that's life and that's why this movie is awesome, it shows how human nature needs outweigh moral decisions.
