Malignant (2021)
A Good Enough Saturday Afternoon Flivk
After scrolling through many movies, this seemed like it would be okay. I noticed with the opening credits Jake Abel was in it (a shame the part he got).
When the 2 'sisters' go to see Mom, I actually wondered at first if it was Maria Bello. (Glad it wasn't.)
I'm still watching, don't understand why her head keeps bleeding, but that very thing is interesting of itself.
I've got about another hour to watch; I may come back to edit this. I hate they force you to write more than you want to, or review won't be accepted. Said again, I hate they make you write more words than needed, guess they don't really want you to review.
On the Count of Three (2021)
Great Funny/Not Funny Movie
The in-your-face opening really catches you.
I liked feeling uncomfortable about Kevin wanting to get back at his horrifying pediophilia-pediatrician, couldn't really have it being the wonderful Henry Winkler.
Kevin had the shot at one of his many childhood bullies; not clear on why he didn't take it.
I'll be expecting more great flicks from actor/director.
1408 (2007)
Excellent
Anything with John Cusack is going to be at the least, good.
The story, acting, directing, cinematography, everything, was phenomenal!
Always watch it when it's on.
Copshop (2021)
Alexis Louder
Alexis Louder RULED this pretty good action movie.
Worth a watch, rented at Redbox.
Was a little "off-kilter" in places; IMO, directing could have been a little tighter.
Over all, a decent movie.
Enjoyed most of the main characters.
Only Murders in the Building (2021)
Had Some Doubts
Wasn't sure if this was for me.
I'm so glad I gave it a watch; it's phenomenal.
You wouldn't immediately think of Steve Martin & Selena Gomez would go together, but it works.
I'm loving all the untold backstories (especially Selena's). The title is ONLY Murders in THE Building, so, I'm hoping there will be more seasons.
American Horror Story (2011)
At First...
Jaw dropping.
I was thinking there would be litigation, because it was sooooo true to life.
Why was it only half a season?
Fear Itself (2008)
Pretty Good
It's an anthology, which, depending, can be good or bad.
I like most of the actors, the directing was good.
I have yet watched all episodes, sort of 'hoarding' them.
There were definite twists and turns, which is always good. (You know, when you 'think' he/she 'did it', but, it turns out you're wrong.) To me, that's good writing, acting & directing.
