I Care a Lot (2020)
What a let down
I was really looking forward to this after seeing the trailer. Rosmund Pike did a good job in creating a very unlikable character, unfortunately the writers decided to make her the protagonist of the story and, I guess, wanted to have the audience root for her as some sort of anti-hero. Basically I ended up not rooting for anyone, except the elderly who are being victimized and hoping for them to get some sort of revenge, instead Pike and Dinklidge make everything worse by turning this disgusting local business into a nationwide business. No thank you.
Doom Patrol (2019)
Diana Guerrero is great
I think Diana should have been nominated for an Emmy. Her ability to do all the different personalities is amazing. The rest of the cast is very good as well. I went into this show with no idea about the story and usually don't watch superhero shows or movies. I found it too be interesting. The stories are very unusual and creative. This show is not for everyone. The special effects are excellent. I loved the look of Mr. Nobody. Many of the effects are gross. There are probably too many flashback scenes, but they do help in showing why the charcters are so damaged. I think you'll love it or hate it.
Spring Breakers (2012)
Worst movie ever
I think I should dump my girlfriend for making me watch this. The worst movie I've ever seen in my life. I don't want to describe the movie, it's totally unrealistic, unless you happen to believe a drug dealer would bail some girls out of jail to help him rob people and try to kill a rival drug dealer. James Franco, terrible. Selena Gomez, smart enough to duck out half way through the movie. Vanessa Hudgens, smart enough to wear a wig, Plus side, decent soundtrack and James Franco singing Brittney Spears. The girls are kinda cute, so that's good. James Franco probably did this movie just so he could mess around with some hot girls. I can't imagine he read the script and thought, yeah I'll be a drug dealer who has some college girls be my homies that help me rob people, yeah that'll work.
Frame of Mind (2009)
An interesting idea that ended up being a waste of time
I decided to watch this movie because I thought the idea sounded interesting and I have always liked Chris Noth as an actor, this was a big mistake.
The acting is terrible, sort of like what you would see in a soap opera or some kind of teen flick b-movie. While watching it I was trying to tell if it was the actors faults or the director, well it turns out the lead actor is also the director so I will give him the blame.
I was very tempted to turn it off but I did what to see what kind of twist ending they would come up with but there was none. In one of the final scenes where the protagonist and antagonist finally meet the scene is cut short without showing what was said and one scene later the movie just ends. My feeling is if you are going to write a story probing a possible key piece of evidence in the J.F.K. assassination you should have the guts to push the conclusion. That being said Chris Noth was OK, but in a small role even though he is featured on the DVD cover.
