Witness Number 3 (2022)
It Starts Fairly Well But.......
It started fairly well but after the original exchange and towards the end of the first episode it started to feel unrealistic and without that it was hard to believe characters would behave in such a way and with this suspension of belief the sense of feeling trapped with the central character or that they or their family may be threatened disappeared.
Why didn't they at least try changing their phone number when the intimidation started? 🤷♂️
I couldn't decide during episode 3 (whilst watching the scenes!!!) if it was let down by a poor script that the actors involved struggled to deliver, poor acting that failed to make the situation feel possible and realistic, poor direction and shooting of scenes or a combination of all of these.
Each plot "twist" is obvious and clumsily signposted to the viewer well before it was delivered and then we are moved just as unsubtly onto the next possible character that may not be the person they have been (unconvincingly) portrayed as.
A wasted opportunity to explore some interesting ideas in my opinion. Even if you've enjoyed the first episode by the end of the 4th one you're only finishing the series because you've invested the time in it thus far and are holding out that the conclusion isn't as obvious and predictable as you first thought. Unfortunately it is!
Tenable All Stars (2019)
Terrible All Stars
If you can't find something better to do or watch with the 45 mins of your life you'll waste on this drivel then give it a go.
Only the fact that the "celebrities" are recognisable and the money goes to charity saved it from a 1 star score from me.
I won't be watching another episode (I watched Episode 2) and I hope this review stops you from mistakenly watching even 1 episode.
