Covert Affairs: Something Against You (2013)
Is Henry the only bad guy in the world?
OK at first I thought this could be a somewhat worthwhile show. But now we are in the middle of our fourth season and we are still chasing Henry. Now so far everybody and their brother has been in a position to shoot and kill him but yet no one has. ******* ***** ***** ***** ** *** *** ** ** ** *** **** ** ** ** ** ** * * *** ***** ***** ***** ******* ********** ********* ****** ********** ** * ******* ************* ************ ****** **** ****** ** ********* ****** It seems that there are no other bad guys or anything else worth the CIA's time other than a few rouge agents hell bent on getting Henry to the exclusion of all else in the world. Don't think I can sit through any more Henry chasing. The writers found one bad guy and obviously have no imagination to come up with any others. Time for me , at least to pull the plug on this show.
Continuum (2012)
Something is wrong here
OK, let's see if I have this right.
1. Corporate America hijacks the American Government. (which is happening now and if the GOP wins big in November that scenario will be more reality than fiction) 2. A group of men opposed to this, find a way to travel back in time and do so in order to prevent the elimination of FREEDOM OF SPEECH, RELIGION, ASSEMBALY etc...
3. A corporate Hench-woman unwittingly travels back with them and tries to stop those men from stopping corporate America from taking away our civil liberties 4. She's portrayed as the hero of the movie.
Do I have the premise right? Lets put it this way.
1. Adolph Hitler hijacks the German Government 2. A group of men opposed to this, find a way to travel back in time and do so in order to prevent the extermination of Jewish people and Hitlers attempt to take over the world and World War II in general.
3. A German Hench-woman unwittingly travels back with them and tries to stop those men from stopping Hitler 4. She's portrayed as the hero of the movie.
Anyone else see anything wrong with this picture.
Makes me wonder where the funding for this series came from.
Not sure, I may watch episode two but for me the premise of the woman trying to stop freedom being portrayed as the hero is A LITTLE OFF to me *********** ************* ************* ************* *********** *** ********** *********** *********** ************ ********** ********** ********** *********** ************** *********** ********* ********** ********* ********** ******** ************ ********* ********* ********* *********** ********** ******* *********** ****** ******** ***
Missing (2012)
OK Already
OK already, we get it. The husband is not dead. He faked his own death to get away with ripping off who ever. Now they found out he is alive, and are using Michael as bait to draw him out. Let's get on with it already.
"ABC has a good one with lots of promise! It is certainly a breath of fresh air considering all of the brain-dead shows that are run as reality TV. In addition, most of the series that have long runs have the same story lines with different characters acting out the plots. ABC has chosen a good one that is pure adult entertainment and has plot twists and turns that will require something better than the concentration of a third grader. I am looking forward to the episodes that get past the initial hunt for Michael. Ashley Judd is a very good actress who does her own stunts (according to her recent interview) and always leaves me wanting to see her again!"
The Event (2010)
Dizzying
Though I haven't given completely up on this show, as the premise is promising. It's much like talking to a meth addict in a holding cell, it's hard for them to maintain a contingent line of thought, Sometimes I get dizzy watching this show. I have seen enough of hours, days, months, years ago... footage already. Who cares how they met or where their dates were, onto the plot already. And really the FBI's server room located in the basement of the parking garage and unlocked, really. These writers could surely use some lessons from the writers of 24 as to seamlessly integrating past and present events without dizzying the viewer.
