Pumpkinhead (1988)
Watch out we have a killer demon on the loose and he's coming for you!
I thought the film was good. I loved the creature effects and all the scenes. The first scene I liked was the one where Pumpkinhead rises from the table and grows tall. That scene I will never forget ever. It scared me half to death when you first see it's face and the way it kills people. I think that all the deaths in this film are pretty good. I was scared near the ending of the film. It was right when Pumpkinhead had looked out of the shadows and you could see his face turning into a human's face(the nose)very quickly. And for the man who had summoned it had begun turning into that creature very slowly(eyes and emotion changing fast). I did feel sorry for the man who had died because he is now going to be Pumpkinhead in the next film and would spend eternity in hell and never be able to enter heaven's gates.
Abominable (2006)
This film was supposed to be about Bigfoot/Sasquatch not about him killing people!
This film was okay. But kind of awkward when you think of it. I mean it is supposed to be about Bigfoot and how he survives out in the wild, not about him killing innocent people. That was kind of brutal of him going around to different places around his territory killing people and then eating them. That was sick and cruel to see. But that's what makes a real good horror film. I thought this would be of Bigfoot trying to get people scared of him so that he could be popular and have a legend not of him in the woods killing people! This film didn't even have any CGI in it it only had a man in a costume running around scaring the girls and guys to death. There was a lot of blood and gore in the film especially around the mouth of the creature. I thought the film should have used a bit of CGI in it instead of a guy in a costume acting and scaring lots of girls!
Bone Eater (2007)
Horrible film, no gore or anything scary at all!
I thought the film was awful. It had no gore scenes, no nudity, not much action. No nothing. That is how bad the film is. I hope that anyone that reads this should know that the film was bad and to not watch it unless you don't want to see any blood, gore, or anything scary! The film had so much computer generated stuff in it that it didn't look as scary as you thought it would. Come on, look at the title of this film, Bone Eater. As in it should take away bones and leave nothing but blood and gore left in it's tracks. There was nothing left in his tracks or should I say it's tracks. No one should watch this film unless you have read this review first!
Phantom Racer (2009)
This film reminds me of the movie Christine in a lot of ways!
I thought the film was okay. I did like it because a man who died in a fatal car crash on the racetrack came back from the dead to kill people until he got to the man who he saw last while being in his car now restored back to normal. I was scared out of my wits when I had seen him trying to get to the man responsible for killing him. But i was also scared for his teenage daughter who had learned that the man who died in the car crash was her dad. I thought that the film was a bit like Christine(killer car film). Except that the car was a race car and didn't live enough to see his daughter as a baby instead of a teenager.
I thought the scene where the girl is walking around the woods and comes upon the car is crazy. She had no idea what was about to happen to her in a split second. She leans in and sees the locket that belonged to her mom, and thought of her when all of a sudden the car sucks her into the driver's seat and buckles her in and then drives off. I was so scared for that girl because she finally learned that her father died in the car and had come back to seek his vengeance upon everyone that caused him to die.
Swamp Devil (2008)
This film was weird and had lots of things in this film that was computer generated!
This film was okay. I did like the story concept but the action scenes were way off. The concept was that a girl return to her hometown to try and help find her dad who is suspected in lots of crimes around the town. When she meets a guy she learns that he is not who he seems to be. He has been after her father and will do anything to get his hands on her.
I thought the scenes with the swamp like creature were computer generated instead of made out of twigs, vines, and a lot of other stuff. I thought that the creature looked okay but when it was fighting it looked like the thing from the film Man-thing. Because it kicked everyone's butts and scared lots of people around the town limits. I was happy that everything turned out okay in the ending of the film. But it was scary when the hand came out of the water and then came out it's head, it's back and out for blood again!
Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989)
Indy's back and this time he is battling it out with the Nazis's again!
I thought the film was great. It really blew me away! It is just a bit like the first film. I loved every bit of this film. I thought when Indy had to fight off the Nazis again, I was like hell yeah! I just like to see bad guys get their butts kicked by good guys. I loved every bit of this film, especially all of the scenes with Indy and his dad in them. I thought that it seemed like Indy and his dad were like younger to me when they were fighting and arguing over something. I hope there is an Indy 4 film! I just hope that Indy's dad isn't in it. If your going to see these films, don't walk run to see it because these films are popular and will be remembered throughout the years to come.
Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (2008)
He's back and this time he's back to finish what's started!
I thought the film was great. I loved every bit of the film. I really thought that the alien theme for the film was something i wasn't expecting at all. I really thought that since Indy is getting old that he considers retiring or at least leaving away his adventure life to his son mutt. I couldn't believe that he had a son. And that Marion is back for the thrill of being near Indy again. I think that it was good that she married him and that Mutt is the son of the greatest adventurer and explorer of his time. I really thought that Mutt would go back to school and learn everything his father learned and become adventurous too.
I was a bit scared when the spaceship had come out of the ground and disappeared, that was the best part of the film. I hope that Mutt will become like his father someday!
Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (1984)
It was an okay film, some things I did not like about it though!
I thought the film was okay, except for some things I had seen in the film. Like the scene where Willie is being lowered into the lava pit, I noticed that when she was going down the chains holding the cage were not moving, but she was screaming. I also noticed before she was put into the cage thing that she was wearing a lot of necklaces and big ear rings when put into the cage, that when Mola Ram was coming toward her the necklaces and ear rings had somehow come off of her nothing beautiful was on her besides the thing on her head. Also in this scene I thought that when Mola Ram was coming toward her it looked like he was smiling at her, and he wanted to scare her by pretending to almost rip out her heart. And he laughed when he was calling Indy(now under black sleep of Kali ma)to finish putting the last chain brace on her wrist.
I loved all the scenes in the film but the story concept was way off. Like I know Indy, Willie, and Shorty are trying to save a village from a bad mess involving their stones being taken, but when they had gotten to the palace and saw the thuggee ceremony and then captured and then escape with the slave kids and the stones and killing Mola Ram and saving the day. But that really has nothing to do with Indy and the last film the way it was but this is really bad. I hope that the next film is better than this film, because there was so much wrong with this film, I can't think of anything good in this film. I hope that no one watches this film and writes good reviews about it because they need to watch the film over a few times and see the problems for themselves.
Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981)
Great film, loved all the action scenes!
I loved this film, it's got every bit of the great things to make it a film with high ratings: action, adventure, romance, comedy. I thought the film was great but the snakes in the well of souls had scared me to death. I loved the scene when the cobra stood up right in front of Indy and the way his face looked when he was backing away from the snake. I laughed at the way his face looked. I loved the way the ark looked. I am still wondering if that is the real ark or a fake one. I liked the scene at the ending when the spirits came out and the power of the ark was revealed: death. I was scared to death when the camera had shown all of those snakes in the well of souls. I will never forget that part of the film. I hope there is another film like this!
The Final Destination (2009)
I think the film was okay ,not what I really was expecting at all.
I think the film was a bit bad because the film was supposed to be a 3-d film instead of 2-d. There weren't really many effects or eye-poppers in the film. The deaths I did like, it should have had more fake blood and less computer effects in the film. Some of these deaths seemed like to me being copy catted or something. I think the deaths were stolen or used differently in the film(1000 ways to die some deaths in these death scenes). Like maybe cut out the CGI effects a little bit or at least put more fake blood in it. Everything in the film looked like it was computer generated or something.
I hope that there is a sequel to this film. But it better be more experienced and laid out then thrown in all at once like all of these films.
Final Destination 2 (2003)
Weird film, I'd rather watch the next film than this one!
I thought the movie was okay. I didn't like the way the story or plot was laid out in the film. Like a girl has visions about these events happening in a death sequence and tries to stop it but can not do it in time to save her friends and people she had saved from certain death. I was happy that Clear Rivers was back(she was last seen in the previous film in Paris). But the fact that she was isolating herself from death list was kinda bad because she would have eventually died anyway. I hated the way that there were visions of different deaths in the film but the symbols come on, no one wants to see that. I was happy that there were new deaths in the film and that the character Clear had finally come to see death face to face again and then died. I hope that the movie next in line to this is better than this and way more impossible death scenes. I just hope that the characters in this film who had survived won't be back. But I do want another girl to try and save innocent lives before death comes back to claim more lives. I think the film overall was okay and I think that I would rather see the next film than this one!
Final Destination 3 (2006)
I love this film, way better than the second and first films combined!
I love the roller coaster scene but I did notice in this scene lots of special effects that were noticeable. But if that had ever happened at a carnival then it better be at my school it's boring. But I will never look at a tanning bed the same way ever again(I loved that scene best death ever!). I did like the concept that a girl was trying to save everyone from a horrible death. My favorite deaths in this film were the roller coaster, tanning bed, weights crushing(weights crushing down on head like a melon), and the nail gun death.
In the DVD version it had lots of features like you can change the way a person dies(tanning bed- turn up the heat more, same death), you can watch how they did the roller coaster scene(all the actors on the ride had to ride that roller coaster at least 40 times or more a day for filming) and lots of other goodies to add to your scare scale. I loved all the features but they should have done a little more to the roller coaster scene(cut back on the computer effects a little bit) it was completely obvious that every thing in the film was used by CGI effect techniques. I loved every minute of this film. I hope they make another film like this with all the survivors dying at the ending because no one can escape death. Unless your already dead on the inside!
Scream 2 (1997)
Ghostface is back and this time he means business, as in killing Sydney once and for all!
The film was great because you would never suspect anyone in a film based on a murder to start recreating the murders for real and not just fake stuff. I thought the film was good because at the beginning 2 people are watching Stab(a film based on Woodsboro murders)when the real killer, instead of fake ones in the theater, murders them and calmly leaves blaming lots of innocent people who didn't know that the killer was in the same room as they are in. But now Sydney is in college and loving it. And is trying to get over the murders from the previous film and lives nearby Dewey's home with a big security system. I personally thought that when Ghost-face had them in the police car I thought that he would crash the car resulting in everyone inside dying suddenly upon impact. But I was scared to death when Sydney was making her way out of the car window(as in the front driver's window the only exit). I was holding my breath when she crawled out and stared down the killer who was temporarily knocked unconscious. For at least five minutes or so. Until he gets out mysteriously and kills Sydney's friend right in front of her. I was scared to death when Cotton was deciding whether or not to kill Sydney or let her live. I was like "let her live please, the mother is crazy, kill her, not her!" I was holding my breath when he had finally decided to let her live and kill the mom instead. Because he had forgiven her and thought that she had deserved to live instead of the crazy mom breathing down her neck.
Scream 3 (2000)
Someone's out looking for blood as in Sydney Prescott's blood!
I loved this film so much. I was happy that Cotton was in the film for a short time but at least he had a chance to have a life until the killer found him and killed him inside his home. I had thought that the killer was trying to get to Sydney last instead of trapping her in a room with the killer(aka her half-brother). I was shocked and terrified when he had revealed his identity to Sydney. I thought that he would knock her out and tie her to a chair and talk to her then figure out how he could easily kill her. I was holding my breath when the camera centered in on Dewey and Gale tied up and nearly killed right around Sydney. But I was scared when the killer trapped her in a room and revealing himself to her and showing her clips of her mother before she had died. I loved this film so much that I hope that another sequel comes out and really is a bit more modified to this version a little. I did hear of a new film Scream 4 coming out this year and I am so excited because I graduate this year and this one was of my favorite films. I hope that Sydney still lives and the killer dies in the film!
Scream (1996)
There's a new killer on the loose who loves to terrorize teens!
I love this film including the way the killer(Ghost-face)is killing these teenagers in such brutal ways. When some of the teens were turning around to see if Ghost-face was still following them, I was like "don't turn around, keep running, he's right behind you, run for it!" This film was great I loved the characters Sydney trying to figure out who is trying to kill her when the one she is dating is actually the killer who is blackmailing the real one, the true killer. I was afraid for Sydney when she had finally found out that the killer had killed her mom years ago. I was scared that she would suffer the same fate as her mother and her friends and schoolmates. I was surprised when Gale had shot her boyfriend who had nearly killed her with a gun and a knife. I thought of her as the hero and a savior who had saved Sydney and Dwey her soon would be boyfriend. I thought the film overall was great because you would never suspect a boyfriend close to someone who had seen her friends dying would be a killer. I really hope that there is a sequel to this film because if there is I am going to see it and hopefully write a review for it. I do hope that Sydney is going to finally get rid of anyone who killed her mom, because in the film it did say that she did die from stab wounds and blood loss, because I don't think that they had killed her. Maybe copycatting a similar death.
Wrong Turn 2: Dead End (2007)
A family has come to make a meal out of actors and actresses on a game show recording.
The film was good especially the fact that there is a whole family that is having babies and hunting down innocent people for food. I was quite terrified when the two kids were chasing everyone and enjoying killing everyone in their sight. I was like are you kids crazy, don't you enjoying taking innocent lives and surviving to eat what you captured to devour? I really thought this was a great film. But I thought it was even more twisted than the first film. I was scared when a video had shown this guy being decapitated right in front of the camera and then the head falls right in front of the lens. I was like run dude run, run like your life depended on it, don't turn back just run like the wind, don't stop just run to the road and get help!
When that scene was shown when the cannibal woman is giving birth I nearly threw up because I must admit that was gross and sick to watch. But when the dead girl was shown on the hood of their truck, I was like she's no deer put her on the back of the truck not the front that's disgusting! I suggest not let anyone under 13 or younger watch this film because they will get sick or not sleep for days. I hope there is a sequel to this!
Wrong Turn 3: Left for Dead (2009)
Beware 3-fingers is alive and fearsome than ever before ad keeps coming back for more blood to hunt!
The film was better than the last film and the first film combined! Three fingers is back and kills more innocent victims who try to escape but cannot. I thought at first than 3 fingers was dead for good but when at the last minutes of the second films he was alive and well and now has a son who will learn to kill and be more twisted and evil than his father. I was like he is going to die someday and won't come back. But he will he won't stop until he is dead and buried or eaten by his family. I was shocked when 3 fingers was setting traps for all the cons who were supposed to be in the big house instead of out in the middle of cannibal terror land. I thought this film was great but even more twisted than the other 2 films that were shown before. I like these kind of films in not such a weird way because there are in our society today some people who resort to cannibalism to survive in the wild or somewhere in the world. But this film I will never forget how this film had shown me that these kind of people live in West Virgina but they had better not come down here or i am changing my name and moving to Texas. But I know that all of this is fake but it can change to a way that mankind can be wiped out by these kind of people who resort to cannibalism.
Ghost Rider (2007)
Johnny deals with the devil know he gives up everything to serve him but can his girl come back to him before it's too late?
Best special effects I have ever seen in 2007! This movie was really good I thought that Roxanne would faint when she had first seen Johnny in ghost rider form. But this was a good versus evil film and that is how i like these films, to be a fight between good and evil and to save the girl of your dreams from dying in the hands of the devil's son who is way more eviler than the devil himself. Blackheart was super creepy when I had first watched this film and I thought he sort of liked Roxanne at first, he looked at her like he wanted to kiss her or something. But when he told Johnny to get that contract or he would kill his girl. He looked at her I thought he would run over there and kiss her or something.
I thought the film overall was great and I hope they make a sequel to this film with a bit of action and adventure into the next film. Because I thought that even though that Johnny made a deal with the devil he could have a chance at life and go see his ex-girlfriend, who he still loves dearly, and slow down on his wild life and relax a bit. At the end of the film I thought that Roxanne would go with Johnny anywhere that he would be at. Because I know she still has feelings for him and plus he saved her life and millions of people from dying at the hands of Blackheart(also now called Legion).
Wrong Turn (2003)
Scariest and creepiest film I have ever seen!
This film was sick and twisted but overall lots of blood, gore, and guys screaming like little girls make one hell of a good movie! the film was good but a lot of the scenes in this film scared me a lot until I couldn't fall asleep for 2 days. I thought the film was really good but I liked the film because there were cannibalistic hill-billys' killing innocent people out in the woods in West Virginia, how about that, the Moth-man lives up there so why go up there because there are serial cannibal killers up there of course! The deformed people in the woods were pretty good effects on them(faces and the fact that they can live longer due to the fact that the stuff they drank gives them super-human strength and ability to kill people or act dead for a short while anyway).
I mean, those people trying to escape the woods were pretty brave to fight them and live long enough to get back to civilization and never go back to the woods again. I felt that they knew no one would believe them if they told someone about there adventure and near death experience in the woods. Especially fighting off the cannibals and living to escape with their lives.
Final Destination (2000)
The grim reaper is coming to town to finish what could have been a tragedy for everyone.
This is one of my favorite horror films since A nightmare on elm street film series. It is simple and basic, mainly about these teenagers trying to escape a horrible encounter with death himself or itself. Because death can come in so many mysterious ways that can't be explained by science or common sense. I loved all the deaths it reminded me of a show now on TV called 1000 ways to die. It displays and explains how a person died in such a mysterious way or a bizarre way that some people can't describe it or won't believe it at first thought. The deaths were phenomenal and so unbelievable that I can't describe it or anyone else cannot do it. I really thought that the first scene on the plane was pretty good because you would never suspect a plane exploding or splitting it 2 ways it is so phenomenal and so unusual to learn and to process throughout the brain and the mind. I really thought that the last scene when the 3 teens are in Paris when the sign on a store or hotel comes swooping down and hits the teen who questions who is next to die on death's list and who will be saved. That scared me and I am like there had better be a sequel to this film and it better be as good as this one! But I have learned that there are more of these films to come and go and I will sit back and watch them roll and see people die.
Saw 3D (2010)
Hoffman gets what he deserves and now Jigsaw has someone else to teach of his ways...Lawrence Gordon!
First of all the film was great but there were not as many 3-d features throughout the film(nothing really eye popping from the screen)and the story concept was a bit messed up about Bobby claiming to help people(due to the fact he "survived" from a trap that he claims to have won)through a guru group and a book he had launched out about the Jigsaw survival he went through. But when he had to undergo all those traps to save his wife, that something he should release to the press about his "survival" to get to his wife he knew that neither of them would survive and die but at least she finally learned the truth about her man and his "survival" instincts in Jigsaw traps.
But throughout the film Hoffman had been trying to find Jill and get revenge on her but found her at police headquarters and guarded very good. He pleaded with police to give Jill to him and he would stop the traps but the police refused and they all wound up dead including Jill in the original reverse bear trap that killed her with no key to release her or cut her loose from a chair she was in. But Lawrence did let Hoffman be in a room full of dead bodies(bathroom scene from saw 1) and this time with no hacksaw to free him. So he finally got what was coming to him death and no one to be with but dead bodies surrounding him.
Best film ever I hope they don't make another film because Tobin Bell is getting to old for these kinds of films now.
Saw VI (2009)
Will Hoffman ever stop or die in a Jigsaw trap?
The film was great in all but I was disappointed when the last bit of the film was played out(Jill putting trap on Hoffman then left him for dead)because I really thought that that small version of the original reverse bear trap would not kill Hoffman and he would run off to kill Jill once and for all. I was shocked when Hoffman got out of that traps and tried to get the locked door open to go off and catch Jill and kill her. I had not suspected Jill to be an accomplice to Jigsaw I knew she was married to him then had a miscarriage and then things went downhill from there, but gosh she had really surprised me because she is a quiet woman who doesn't do much and not really in front of news media but when that truth came out about him everyone suspected her of helping him or causing him to suffer more than usual. But I have a feeling that Jigsaw will get his revenge on Hoffman but not Jill because he still has feelings for her and doesn't want her to get hurt under his watch. And that Jill and Hoffman may have a brawl near the next film hopefully. But we will all just have to sit and wait for something to happen to her and then something bad could happen to Hoffman.
Saw V (2008)
Transformation of Hoffman becoming what Jigsaw is... a killer!
The film was good in all but it needs more of a punch to really let people know that this could happen to you and never forget it in the future. I saw in the last film that Hoffman is Jigsaw's next apprentice(better job than Amanda)and is slowly in this film becoming what Jigsaw is a killer who can come back for doing what he seems to be right testing other's will to live. And now the FBI is still trying to figure out who Jigsaw is and why Seth Baxter died without having a chance of escaping his trap(pendulum trap-inescapable-Seth killed Hoffmans' sister and was given 2-3yrs in prison). Now things are bad because Hoffman was visited by a now alive Jigsaw(who had died in saw 3?)who wants him to work for him and help him with the traps and learn why he is doing all of this. I nearly hit the floor when i saw Jigsaw alive and talking to Hoffman and still making traps even though he died a few films back. The traps were good but i was scared when that man's head was in the box filling with water and how that scene was made out. Pretty good film but I can't wait for next film to come out.
Saw III (2006)
Does Jigsaw finally die for good or come back for more games?
I could not believe what had happened at the ending of this film. I really thought that Amanda had some feelings for Jigsaw in this film and had some hatred for the doctor(Lynn Denlon)who had been by his side most of the time and she wanted her trap go off and see her die but not Jigsaw. I thought that all the traps in this film were pretty good but the trap called the Rack(cross like twist trap)was pretty intense for the viewers. I thought that man in that trap didn't quite deserve that way to die and I did feel sorry for Jeff(going around and trying to prove justice to all that did wrong in the case of his dead son)at the end because not only did he lose his wife, but he lost his daughter somewhere in the warehouse and he was stuck in a room full of dead bodies with not really a way out. But he should have realized that device around his wife's neck would kill her badly and wait to avenge his son until the collar was off of her and she was in good care of paramedics. But it was to late now.
I love every trap in this film but the one with the woman being frozen to death was pretty bad for her and Jeff because he didn't have time to release her from the chains or stop the water from freezing her down into a frozen slab of meat. But very good movie, I can't wait for the next film, hopefully Jigsaw will return good as new maybe, maybe not?
Saw IV (2007)
Now dead Jigsaw has a new apprentice who is after everyone who knows him for who he really is!
The film was pretty good, I loved every bit of this film but the traps were pretty intense to handle for some viewers watching near me in the theater. I had never suspected Hoffman as Jigsaw's apprentice and he does a better job than now dead Amanda Young(who died in last film)he really gives others chances at solving their traps and feeling good about themselves and their lives. I thought that some scenes where kinda not suitable for anyone under 13yrs(rape scene, head-crushing scene, pictures of vicious rapes of young women, etc.)because they were pretty graphic and should have been put on as a DVD feature instead of putting it in the film for people to see for themselves. The traps were good but the story concept of the last police officer who wanted to look for Dec. Matthews is going on a 90 minute journey to see what Jigsaw is trying to tell him at the end of the film and him going around seeing all these people dying in front of him and nothing he can really do about but stand around and watch or look away, that's brutal for viewers everywhere!
