Egregious
28 December 2020
I hardly write reviews but this had to be done. I had to warn people that this just sucks. It was so bad I'd rather have Trump for president for 10 more years

Will age in future
3 September 2019
This movie will completely age itself just due to the use of the computer tech, apps, etc which themselves play a character in the movie. But for 2018-2019 this movie is wonderful and fun and suspenseful and engaging. I liked it. I loved the plot twist at the end. I had no idea!!!!!

RIP Star Wars
13 August 2019
This movie will be my last Star Wars movie I ever watch. The script and direction a corporate Disney empire took with this trilogy just ruined it. They took a great movie series and decided to dump on it. Like a big dump. They made Luke look like a joke.

Good but some naught not suitable jokes
28 July 2019
Great movie but some bad jokes not really suitable for children to hear. But for an adult it was ok. Spider-Man was a great movie. Another one to be great in the marvel universe.

It's fun
28 July 2019
Sometimes you watch a movie just to have fun and kill time. This is the movie that does that. Funny, cute actress, great twist and fun plot. It's not a movie to win an Oscar so stop being negative about not liking it. Sometimes you go outside and play basketball not to win and dominate your neighbor. You go outside to have fun and shoot hoops. This movie is like that. You watch it to have fun. Eat some popcorn, have a laugh, feel some suspense etc. it entertains.

I like the Band hated this movie
20 July 2019
Warning: Spoilers
The movie had nothing to do with the band. It was just about Fred's gayness and his affairs. It would of been better if they focused on the band and how they came together. The end was predictable. And cheesy. To end with a band playing on stage. Every damn movie about a musician or band end with the "let's end the movie as they play a great song on stage and slow motion the walk off or freeze frame the moment."

Good

Warning: Spoilers
It was good. Way too long. And the ending was sad. Not how superhero's are supposed to go out. They are supposed to live. But anyways. It was good. I like the story. Made the whole thing meaning 21 marvel movies blend well together. Thumbs up. Rip tony stark.

Curve ball of a movie that wins the Game.
24 March 2019
A solid movie. The acting was superb. Not many movies these days can emulate the harmony of what this film does. Clint Eastwood is a master of the craft. Amy Adams and Justin Timberlake are authentic in this love sports movie. I see no flaws. One of the best movies of the decade. Family friendly without the overt sexuality and violence.

Family. Dogs. Bravo.
5 March 2019
This movie is such a great movie. Finally a movie that is family friendly where I don't have to worry about profanity or overt sexuality. Just pure joy. Dog lovers will love this.

Rad and cool
13 November 2018
I remembered a good job and a great day for me. It was this day. I am pleased to announce that this day a man who made ET made this show. It was cool. Fake. Cartoonish. But cool. Like ice cream cool. Meaning cold. Like ice. Like how ice and ice cream is cold. That type of metaphor anology cold type weather. You know like awesome without being cool. But rad without being so chill.

2 November 2018
Warning: Spoilers
I'm a hard person to convince anything is good. And so many people told me this was good. It is not. No action. Nothing special. A man dies. His kids behave good and bad and grow up. Token gay man. Token black man. And the only Latino in show is jerk who takes the wife (Mandy Moore) of his best friend. I don't understand why this show has a high rating. Basically nobody has taste anymore.

Don't waste your time.
26 May 2018
I hated the last Star Wars. Last Jedi was horrible. I decided since I got free tickets to see this I might as well check it out. And happy I didn't waste my cash. This movie just a let down as the whole Star Wars universe went to crap. Disney destroyed this universe. I'm disgusted.

A filler for the day of nothing to do
4 January 2018
This movie was not bad nor was it good. Just a simple movie. Full of not sound and fury and trying to signify something. It fails but is not as bad as i thought it would be. The acting was pretty good. Funny movie. Tried to give a message about being a human and loving with other humans even though its all lost, at least for this earthly life. Maybe heaven will be open arms for the corporal works of mercy on your fellow man. Much Jesus references, such as scenes with priest, a banner with AMDG on it (which is a jesuit logo) and a bible. The character lady forgot her name already really loved Jesus. Not a bad movie but didn't hit the mark. So much it could of done but just couldn't quite get there.

Luke the Bumbling fool
4 January 2018
Warning: Spoilers
So the hero of Star Wars, the Jedi Master, the Man, the myth, the legend and the hero becomes a bumbling fool. And Rey the newbie becomes hero, compassionate and smart? Why? Because its 2017 and this is how movies are made to cater to this PC world of women are better than men, and men are stooges? The plot was egregious. The writers lost the magic and the purpose of good story telling. This movie was garbage. Pure junk. I am ashamed at Disney. crap movie of all crappiness.

Quite the Contrary
4 January 2018
Very idealistic of previous inquired reluctance of a relevant style of speak easy. I fully reveal the math of man. The deluxe style of creatures upon a lake taking a sip of air as life force. Who this evil man is is like a horror of ourselves. We watch this filth yet love it as porn. I find this episode a mesh of previous seasons balled up into one giant rubber band ready to bounce. A lion being lazy on feed but his carnal knowledge of the lioness he devours. yes this.

biased love affair with Hip Hop
1 July 2011
I must admit that my rating of 10 stars is very gracious. My reason? Simply a biased love affair with Hip Hop and the nostalgia that radiates the screen as I piece together my own memories. When I first saw this movie I was living outside Baltimore in 1992. Memories of me standing outside in the crisp air of winter days waiting for the bus brings the chills to me now. Headphones upon my ears as Cypress Hill, BlackSheep, Public Enemy or even Naughty by Nature blasted beats, vinyl scratches and a feeling that Hip Hop was truly mine. Every generation had their music. Genres and sub-genres of compositions taking claim by the youth of every decade. And for us who grew up on the Urban Ghetto blasting symphonies will recall this movie. The clothes, the language the swag of youth. High top fades, overalls with one strap down, sagging jeans, the boots, the hoodies, this and that. Memories. Word. If you don't care for Hip Hop nor grew up during those early years in the 1990's you wont understand. Yes this movie lacks the greatness of being an Oscar contender. I understand as far as being a film where plot and storyline is a must, that this movie lacks in many fields. But for me this movie is a piece of history of a time and a people. Its where my heart is.

Book always Better
30 June 2011
Like most people who read the book 'The Kite Runner' I was pleased. I actually read the story in two days which meant I found the book a wonderful read. So when I found out that a film will be made obviously, I wanted to see it. I did understand from past experience that such feats are rarely pulled off positively. Many movies based upon books just either do not work or become horrifically destroyed and at times lose whatever feeling that made the book a success. Yet I decided to give this movie a try. I was highly disappointed. The movie destroyed the power of what the book possessed. The only thing that makes me feel a bit relieved is that I read the book first, because if I had watched this movie first I would of never had even cared to read the book nor the Authors of works. Stay away from this movie, and go get the book instead.

Classic Feel Good Underdog Flick
24 June 2011
The movies backdrop was football. Yet this movie really wasn't a football movie nor really a sport movie so it shouldn't be summarized based upon that fact. The story really is centered about a down and out guy named Vince, who seems to not have anything really going for him after losing his job and marriage. The only glue in Vinces sanity to keep him going is friends and brother and also their love for the NFLs Eagles in Philly. With great luck he as well as the city gets a chance to try out for the beloved team. So the story goes on with character build up making you feel sympathy for the guy and in that sorrow you start rooting for him to do well with the team. Its a classic underdog story, even to the understanding that the underdog will triumph at the end. I must say though that after further research on the real story, certain liberties were taken with the film but that is to keep the movie flowing and to entertain the audience. Even though this movie does not garner any awards its a good film to enjoy again.

Classic Guy Entertainment Shoot 'em up
24 June 2011
Sometimes the purpose of watching a movie is just to kill time and be entertained. This movie is that type of movie. My back story is simple, I was actually in the Army and my brother is currently serving and did a tour in Iraq as a Sniper. He actually taught me quite a bit on the reality and not the myth of the job. So I knew watching this movie was going to be inaccurate, mythical, and have many flaws about the job of being a Sniper. But sometimes we go to a movie to not see reality but to escape. One of the main reasons for movies is to put on a show and entertain and this movie does that. Its not a deep movie, nor does it try to be. The target audience is for guys who like action, suspenseful, shoot 'em up, bang bang movies. And it delivers.

Waste of my time
24 June 2011
There is an old opinion surrounding sequels of successful movies and that is, the majority of the time they will never reclaim the success or entertainment value as the first. There are some sequels that do though, but this movie is not one of them. The problem with this movie is the lack of originality from the first two Focker movies. If you have seen the first two then you should know exactly how this one goes. Greg Focker and Jack Byrnes go at it with conflicting opinions, blah blah blah. It just seems tired and played out that after a decade these two cant get along. The jokes were nothing unseen before and after years of seeing such genre of movies the jokes just don't get the same laugh as it did in the late 90's or early 2000's. What also bothered me was the false premise of what the movie was about to begin with and why I even bothered watching it in the first place, the kids. The title was Little Fockers and yet the kids had no part of this story. A few parts here and there but the focus of the movie was Greg and Jack. At least in the second movie, Meet the Parents, the focus was true to the title. So I guess one could claim false advertising. If this movie does advertise anything its that Ben Stiller is falling off his game. Obviously this movie was made to make some cash for the studio and nothing more because they knew people such as myself would pay to see it. A waste of my time and money. I am very disappointed overall. Truthfully this movie was horrible.

Friday Night Lights: The Son (2009)
Season 4, Episode 5
10/10
personal
8 June 2011
Warning: Spoilers
Sometimes you dwell in a fictional story and set of characters to get away from reality. I had done so with Friday Night Lights. But sometimes an episode is played, that is so powerful and true to ones personal reality, it burns a memory forever inside your soul. This episode had done that. I guess the spoiler is for those who had not yet seen this episode, is that Matt Saracens fathers character, an Army Soldier was killed while serving in Iraq, and Matt buries him. The episode is a powerhouse of emotion for the viewer. In his fathers death Matt tries to find his emotional understanding on what to feel, even going into denial that the man in the casket is even his father. Which leads Matt, who after drinking a few beers with his family of friends, go into the funeral home to see if the man in the casket is his father. The episode ends with a powerful song by Great Northern called Driveaway. Matt makes a balanced speech and after tells the funeral workers to leave so he alone can bury his father with the shovel. Blood cakes his hands, and you feel his pain. This episode aired in 2009 in December. I personally lost my own father who was in the Army in August 2009. We laid him with military honors as did Matt. So no matter how this episode played with other viewers, I teared up, I lived in reality what the fictional story played on TV, which is a true story for many of us who lost our own fathers and had to bury them.

Opened new doors for me
19 May 2011
My sisters friend had rented this movie and invited me to watch one day. I flat out was against watching this movie because I assumed it had nothing of interest for me. I had no idea who George Strait was, nor any care for country music. But I gave in and sat through it. This movie was a classic romance movie using country music and a small town as a backdrop. The main reason I am here writing a review is because this movie I heard opened doors for many people who had no care for the Country music genre but because of this movie are fans of country music, mostly George Strait as I have become. Its a simple movie. Great soundtrack. But a movie that opened my heart and ears into a new world.

I feel Horrible!
19 May 2011
Years ago I was watching the movie Friday Night Lights and read the book which the movie is based upon. I loved both. What fully took hold of my thoughts was words, people, the town of Odessa. A real story in a year of the late 80's. That was it or should of been it until I heard they were making a TV series. I admit now that it was my mother who told me about it. She said it was good and I should watch it. But I didn't. I Loved my version of Friday Night Lights and that was the real story. A real place in time. So for a few years I stayed away from the fictional story, fictional characters, and fictional town. Now... I feel horrible! Because I missed out on one of the greatest shows Television had as it was happening. I had gotten into the series recently last year when I stumbled upon the DVD series collection 1 through 3 at my local library. I fell in Love immediately with the characters and show. The characters had a real feel to them. As I continued to watch each season 1 through 3 I understand this isn't a football drama but a real small Texas town drama. The series also has that same feel to it as in the movie with hand held cameras. Which to me makes this so real as if I were in the room with the characters. I must admit that once i finish the series I am going to be depressed. For nothing on TV compares to this. But nothing makes me feel more depressed than knowing I had missed out the past few years on one of the greatest shows TV had given us the past decade. I am for sure going to buy this show on DVD for my collection because I know I will be coming back to this years in the future. I will never see another football movie or TV series the same again after this.
