Shôgun (2024)
You know what.... THIS IS AMAZING!!!
Usually, I don't bother writing reviews, but Shogun really made me want to say something. After just two episodes, I'm hooked. The whole vibe of the show is something else-it's got that epic feel you get from shows like "Game of Thrones," but with its own unique twist.
What really got me was how they've set everything up. The story's got layers, you know? And the characters aren't just cardboard cutouts; they've got depth, motivations, and their own share of problems. It's like you can feel the tension and stakes just getting higher with every scene.
Honestly, I wasn't expecting to get this into it, but here I am, waiting for the next episode. If it keeps up like this, I reckon it could fill that "Game of Thrones" shaped hole a lot of us have been missing.
Frasier (2023)
Kelsey Grammer you beautiful man! YOU DID IT!!!
Navigating the world of reboots is a complex affair, especially when the original series holds as revered a position as "Frasier" does. When I first heard about this new iteration, I'll admit, I was filled with a mix of anticipation and deep reservations. It's not easy to breathe fresh life into something that has already been so beloved and acclaimed. The quality of writing in the reboot immediately stood out. It's evident that a great deal of thought and care went into ensuring each episode is both engaging and respectful to the show's storied legacy. The writers have delved deep, maintaining a connection to the series' roots while also introducing contemporary elements that resonate with today's audience. Their ability to weave in elements from "Cheers" only further exemplifies their reverence and understanding of the broader universe in which "Frasier" exists. One of the reboot's strongest suits is its humor. The quintessential "Frasier" wit is there, alive and as sharp as ever. But it doesn't rest on past laurels. Instead, it brings in a freshness that keeps the viewer both nostalgic and pleasantly surprised. Another commendable aspect is the balance struck between paying homage to the original and innovating for a modern audience. This is a tightrope walk, but the show manages it with grace. For newcomers, it stands on its own. For longtime fans, it offers familiar comfort with a twist. In conclusion, while the very idea of a "Frasier" reboot might have been met with skepticism initially, the end result is a delightful blend of old and new. It respects its origins, yet is unafraid to stride forward. I'd urge both fans and newcomers to approach it with an open mind and heart.
Rosehaven (2016)
By far one of the best comedy series
I want 5 more seasons and a movie!
Well written, great characters, AMAZING LOCATION!
Man Like Mobeen (2017)
By far one of the best shows on tv right now
This show has everything and is relatable to everyone. It's funny, it addresses current issues, well written. Proper good!
Once Upon a Time in... Hollywood (2019)
Well this is a first, I fell asleep in a QT movie 💤😴
I really wanted to love this movie, DiCaprio wasn't relatable, Margot Robbie was pointless, but Brad Pitt mildly ok.
But what frustrated me the most was, WHERE ON EARTH WAS THE PLOT, NO STORYLINE AT ALL. Driving around in cars, watching movies being made. But by the time I walked out of the cinema I was..... "Where did the last 3 hours go, it was utter dribble."
I genuinely believe Tarantino movies are of such a high calibre, but this was just rubbish. Very disappointed!
Hellboy (2019)
I wanted this to be amazing, what a let down!
Good for a Sunday nightovie to pass some time but to be honest the movie just was no where near quality as the previous two. Just so awkward and terrible CGI in some areas. Such a shame!
