Body Cam (2020)
Worst script ever
Mary J is a terrific actor with so much expression in her face and acting. But sadly she was doomed the moment she signed the contract for this movie. SFX were lukewarm & it was obvious there was not enough money in the budget to make it top shelf. However, I liked the lighting & most of the camera work was good. The center of every movie, the script, was horrible & I was shocked at how bad it really was. I don't see how anyone couldn't see that or maybe they did. I did watch to the end but it was only because I wanted to see how well Mary J wrapped it up & I needed closure. I really hope she took something away from this experience and uses it to make a better decision on her next script. She can't keep making movies like this & survive the industry.
Victoria (2016)
25 episodes of Masterpiece Theater Greatness
Splendid writing that keeps you fully engaged. I binge watched for hours upon hours. So many tears of happiness, anger, fear, and love. The series from beginning to end was rich and powerful. Daisy Goodwin created a fantastic journey through Queen Victoria's ascension and reign until the death of Prince Albert. Jenna Coleman and Tom Hughes played their roles as Queen and Prince beautifully. The sets and cinematography were rich and well made. My only regret and I've only one is that the series ended abruptly after 25 episodes with Albert collapsing in the very last scene and it left me agonizing. Historically Victoria agonized over the death of her beloved Albert for the rest of her life. Maybe Daisy thought it best to stop there, but I strongly disagree. Diana Rigg played "Duchess of Buccleuch" for 9 episodes in Season 2 (2017). Rigg played the character so well I had no idea it was the forever famous "Emma Peel" from "The Avengers" (1965-1968) and the iconic "Olenna Tyrell" in "Game of Thrones" (2013-2017) until I saw a tribute "Remembering Diana Rigg" and that she passed in 2020.
Don't Look Up (2021)
Unbelievable major actors starred in this mess
The whole movie beginning to end was a huge mess. Nothing made sense enough to call this a comedy or anything other movie descriptor. I couldn't believe Meryl Streep would attach her name to this. Leo DiCaprio. Another surprise. Acting of every single person in this movie in my opinion was below average, even Streep. The entire plot was absolutely ridiculous. I can't believe that I wasted my time watching the whole thing but I just had to see how this train wreck ended. Hoping that something was going to make sense of it all. Not.
Cloverfield (2008)
Frustrating
This guy "Hud" is a totally obnoxious drunk with a video camera walking around shooting a goodbye video (in Queasy Cam Mode) at a party for a guy moving away for his job. Suddenly he's surrounded with a bunch of disoriented drunk people when the defication hits the rotary oscillator. And the rest of the movie the director expects the audience to believe a guy running for his life is going to be interested in holding onto a video camera recording the whole event instead of fleeing from an unimaginable terror. Makes the whole movie really unbelievable & leaves you wanting to bash "Hud's" head in & slap the rest of then. Total waste of time watching this movie turned it off at 39:23 and should have sooner.
