She saw my face!
28 December 2023
Grief! Some of the reviewers here clearly didn't experience the home video boom of the 80s. When you rented a 'bad' film you watched it to the end, sometimes twice. Is this as bad as some of those? No.

It's low budget for sure, but you have to admire how hard everyone is trying, I've seen worse actors in bigger films.

The first fight, in the garden cracked me up, it goes from someone being hit with a shovel to a martial arts display.

In summary: it's a low budget, low rent revenge movie with some guy that looks like Charles Bronson (for those that know who that is), set in the English countryside. Comical double takes and a dude that yells, 'she saw my face!' a lot.

Possibly the best war movie ever made

There's no jingoism. No glorification. Just a telling of what went on. It doesn't dwell in the horrific, it has a tale to tell and does it. An amazing cast.

Hawd the bus

Fun little movie with a small cast. Don't subscribe to the poor reviews on here. It's something different, low budget but still pulls the strings. Not every movie can be a Marvel. Let the technical issues go, it's a movie for christs sake.

Warning: Spoilers
Spoilers but not plot specific. An odd little film this, starts out a thought piece about money lending and ends up a home invasion movie. It nearly hits it mark and it's nice to see a well produced UK film - but feels like a writing exercise by two writers that have very different ideas about what the film is going to be. Both films would have been decent on their own and to further add to the confused feel there is a claymation gory post credits scene. It would be interesting to hear what the producers of the film have to say about the tone they were going for. I watched this film on UK Netflix, stick it on and have a look for yourself, it will fill a late Saturday night nicely. I wouldn't be concerned about the low score reviews and rants if you know it ends up a home invasion trope you won't end up as angry as those reviewers.
