The Haves and the Have Nots (2013)
O'Connell not bad in TV movie
I just saw Aaron O'Connell in a Hallmark Network made for TV movie, 12 Gifts for Christmas and, while he will probably not win an Emmy for it, he was not bad at all. Why is he so bloody awful on The Haves and the Have Nots??? Must be the DIRECTION and/or the writing! Maybe I was too hasty to judge the other actors too. Maybe it is ALL Tyler Perry's fault that this is about the worst show on television!!!
Atlas Shrugged: Part I (2011)
Loved part I, eagerly awaiting parts II and III.
I first read the book when I was in high school fifty years ago. I have read it twice since then and, after having seen the movie, I will read it for the fourth time. Even my wife, who has not read the book liked the movie and now she wants to read the book. My biggest disappointment is that I will have to wait a year to see the next part and two years to see the conclusion. It has been several years since I read the book but this made me realize that even scarier things are happening in this country today. Ayn Rand was a prophet. Today's politicians and business people are just as crooked as those in Atlas Shrugged. To paraphrase the oft quoted "Who is John Gault," I add "where is John Gault'? We need him today.
