Arcane: League of Legends (2021)
Phenomenal
I dont give a damn about the video game, but this show is phenomenal. Fantastic writing, no fillers, spectacular visuals and animation, believable characters with interesting agendas. This is a clear 10/10 for me and I very rarely give 10s to anything.
Interstellar (2014)
Interstelar jargon
**SOME SPOILERS CONTAINED**
I want and will keep this simple. Rather than a full review, I will pinpoint some keypoints:
- The movie is full of scientific jargon dialogues and thrown information to a point that simple make no sense..AT ALL, and I've come to think that their point was to actually make no sense. I simply can't attach or care for anything that takes place.
- The most real character felt the robot. He feels more human that any other human does. It (or should I say "he" and anyone else "it") speaks normally, has a character and is interesting. All other characters are simply not. That is of course because they feel like doing a scientific (false) lecturing regardless of scene, who they are talking or why.
- The movie made a buzz about how so realisticaly the black hole was rendered based on real top research, and in the exact next instant when he enters the black hole...puf...everything is presented so un-real (even for scifi) movie that is beyond suspension of disbelief. And it's not for the fact that he simply lives even if thats so un-real by itself, but by how conveniently and "solid" everything is represented in this -five dimensional quantum or something future machine-. Really? In a spacesuit flying around in original form, pushing books while communicating through a normal radio transmiter? It simply doesn't cut it. No.
- The script! I left this for last. This is probably the worst planned script I've seen/read in a long while. There are more plot holes in there than a fishing net has, that I don't know where to begin and where to end. I am prety sure thats also the problem of the movie as well. It didn't know where to begin and especially where or how to end.
- So... The master plan of those future post-beings to save humanity by providing them the quantum data they needed, which none understood what really for, was to: "Let's create a worm hole in their solar system, that lead up to 12 other solar systems (unnecessary symbolism), which contain some PROBABLY habitable planets. In one of those systems, we will place a black hole which they will have to risk enter, and in it find our very special machine we made. Oh by the way, if they actually decide to habit the planet, it will be JUST next to that black hole, but don't worry. They will probably be safe for some years. When they need saving again from that black hole we will find another plan in time". Really?? That's what they thought would be a good rescue plan?
2 stars go to the robot, music score and some concept designs, which all 3 were great. The rest simply don't deliver.
Gallowwalkers (2012)
Show mercy!
I can stand here and thinking of the top awful movies I've seen in my life, but I definitely believe that Gallowwakers beats all that comes in mind. I might also make this movie a proud King of the garbage Hill.
While I am doing so, I still wonder WHY?...or WHAT? the crew behind this film where thinking! Because if they actually did so, then that's not in the film, so I can assume that there was no thinking.
Random cuts with no feeling per the scene, random scenes, bad dialogues (god they better not talk), no actual story, no plot, no arcs, no...nothing.
Either skip it and go watch a very bad movie if thats what you are after, or watch and make it KOTGH!
