best dcu antihero movie almost, worst music choices ever
6 August 2021
The film is great, cast was great, acting was great, camera work and directing was great, best character development i have seen in any superhero movie, polka guy was just funny as hell, elba and cena was a hit, i loved the energy between them, all in all it was an easy 9 for me, instant classic but music was the worse in movie, it messed this movie up big time, i wanted to give 7 than decided on 8, guardians of the galaxy was a hit due to excellent choice of music, T2 sweet child of mine scene is what made the movie, this movie had none of that, good choice of music would have made this movie best dcu movie of all time.

best thing since GOT
23 July 2020
Warning: Spoilers
I have not wrote on films for a very long time as only few deserves in my case, this is a very good series, first part felt like a punch as did GOT series with me, plot was very predictable even from the beginning, everything was planned by robert patrick set out to be main villain at the end, still i loved the acting and hoping for better scripts in future, addition of some more gruesome scenes like the pictures of crimes scenes of those days, i am hoping this series will carry on for few years as nothing much interest me on tv this days...early depart of John Lithgow was the worst writing in this series he had lot to give with the part he was playing...

burn with me......
25 April 2018
Warning: Spoilers
I thought the 2. series was getting worse by the minute than this happened, i can tell you that this was the best script and directing i have seen since natural born killers, acting was top notch, director should see awards and script is something only a person who suffered abuse as a child would understand, i grown up in orphanage and seen abuse first hand this film captures a mind of a sufferer who dreams all his life for some one to say BURN WITH ME as sid said with all the pain in her heart, this never happens in real life but to see it in the movie where sid did not matter much in comic version, legion comic where villain is everything but the film changed all that in an excellent way, i hope to see more episodes like this one where script is deep and meaningful, i would like to see more directing like this from who ever the director is, thanks again for all the film indistury has given us just to escape this crap hole of a society for at least 60 min.....

a bit of old, a bit of new but still a good sci-fantasy action to watch
24 December 2017
Warning: Spoilers
I am a sci-fi fan and do rate them higher than other genres still i rated this 8 and i think that is on the spot, film had a decent story, ton of action, lot of sci-fantasy, good character development, not bad directing, excellent camera work plus good acting, best scene for me was the fight in gas station action, direction and camera work was top notch, i think a lot of critics will hate the movie as it seems it borrowed a lot of ideas from other movies, yet still it was fun to watch for me i felt the hate for the orcs, i think the editing was a bit off few sceness should have been cut out and few should have been added but this was a one night event of action so i get it, racing through the city with mahican gang on their tale was not needed, but hey i am no film director, few more car chases would have been great plus extra scenes with Wards daughter and wife was needed and we had no back round on his orc partner...... i can recommend this movie to every one who loves sci-fantasy movies i think it was a good movie to see in pictures and will smith fans will love it.

surprise hit at the end of 2017
9 December 2016
i can say for sure this director has a good future and i hate war movies but this was no ordinary war movie it was tactical team, super natural, sci-fi i was only exited this much after watching District 9, i hope to see more of this director as it was one of the best movie i have seen this year, i would like more character development as main character just jumped in to the movie and as there was no character development for the soldiers we did not care much about their deaths than there is the CIA lady had not much to say, i understand she was under stress and shock but she should have recovered faster be more cool and took charge as her training for years was for times like this, still i loved the directing and camera work it was almost perfect location and effects were excellent to end it all break a leg good luck in your future projects. i personally dislike re-makes but if they were to ever do Starship Troopers this director is my candidate.

good start on a good sci-fi
19 June 2015
i think this series has a ton of potential first parts was very good and it can become a cult like the Firefly, this movie is in the same line but instead of smugglers crew is made of bounty hunters and it seems they all have their dark past. i can honestly recommend this to any sci-fi lover it is now down to the writers to make this into hit, not making a lazy scripts to put of the punters like me, i was hooked from the get go. watch and decide yourselves i am hardly wrong in my predictions i say if the stories get better with some action this will be a hit series and hopefully they will not cancel this one like they did with Firefly, we the sci-fi lovers in need of a good series.

Raw realty difference of two cultures in UK
3 May 2014
i can say nothing was hold back on this movie about the hate on both sides, film was dark, raw and gritty as it can get in Great Britain. i am guessing this film will upset a lot of people who are Muslim and i have to say i do not fallow any religion myself but saying that lots of Muslim's will come to realise the truth in the story which is happening all around us even today. i am from Turkey originally so bit more open minded about Women's choices but to east of Turkey mostly in Urfa honour killings are reality even to this date, lately a girl getting raped and killed by family member by drowning while she was 4 months pregnant. i am not an ostrich i will not put my head in sand and say this is not happening like most, Honour killing is not a religious but cultural upbringing it happens not just in Muslim cultures but seems more apparent due to how often it is happening. i have to say only way forward is educating people by saying taking life is wrong moral point and religious point and this job task is for making tougher laws by government and religious leaders speaking out to their community to change hearts. i believe the film was well acted but have to say it was rushed with bad cutting directing was OK i would have like to see the story being more longer more character development and more depth as it is i gave 8 should have been 6-7 but it is a brave, bold and raw take on this sensitive matter for that it deserves 8 and should be watched by every one over the age of 18 due to way more realistic Violence used in the film.

one of the best drama of 2013
13 April 2014
i don't know what film the idiots who review this movie here watched, i can say in all honesty this is one of the best Drama of 2013 and very good production money well spend. i will give 10 stars if not for over acting in some scenes but this is due to script flaws i think. director is not known to me but he can be proud of the job he has done, style of camera use in action scenes reminded me POINT BREAK but way better, gun fights felt of those in western movies and was very tense. character development was the best thing about this movie you felt for every one most of all Orlando Bloom he has done a great job portraying a failed tortured soul as same as Mel Gibson did in first Lethal Weapon. i am guessing most people did not understand Forest Whitaker, his suffering and the way he acted at the and of the movie i did, this is why i loved the ending character Forest Whitaker played suffered in silence for 40 years then at the end he realised everything he suffered was due to certain evil man and he decided there was only one way to stopped them then he took action to do so with no remorse. i will recommend this movie to any one over 18 due to very disturbing scenes.

Zhi Sha, An End to Killing is the original tittle
19 March 2014
i loved the story if it had been directed right it would have been an epic movie may be it was the bad cutting decide for yourself. all the people in this movie gave their best but the director got cocky and strayed away from the great story which needed none of the martial arts gimmicks to sell the movie, then he went further and try to include a romance story for final epic ending which never come. if this was my movie i would put it on operation table to do a better cut throw away the other stories and and few more scene's to original story and it would be an epic, as it stands one time watch at best.

here is the description of original tittle. Set in early 13th century, Daoist monk Qiu Chuji travelled for 2 years to stop Genghis Khan and his soldiers from killing in Europe and Asia.

stunning visuals bad translation narrative made me mute.
10 December 2013
In the days of the Mayas, cenotes – deep, natural pits on the Yucatan peninsula - provided the only means of obtaining drinking water. But in the mythology of this advanced civilisation, these waterholes and caves were also the entrance to Xibalba – the underworld. All deceased were obliged to pass through Xibalba and wait there until they were called into heaven. It was a place in which one made sacrifices to the gods – objects of daily life, as well as bloody, human sacrifices. To this day, the relics of these acts are still in place preserved underwater for more than a thousand years.

The entrance to the underworld begins at a dirty waterhole in the middle of the Mexican jungle overgrown and barely recognisable. But immediately after entry, a hall of breath-taking dimensions and beauty is revealed. As if they were sculptures, stalactites and stalagmites lend the underwater cave an almost sacred ambiance. By now, one has succumbed to the fascination emanated by the world's largest underwater cave system.

We accompany four professional research divers to Yucatan – a team of specialists, able to squeeze their bodies through crevices and holes, barely larger than their bodies and who master dives that would push even the most experienced divers to their limits. With them, we penetrate worlds only a few people have ever ventured into. We encounter the remains of human victims, prehistoric fireplaces and primeval animal skeletons and undertake a dive, which takes us from the primeval forest to the open sea.

We then enter Xibalba – the place of myths and the dead. In the days of the Mayas - a voyage of no return. Today, this is one of the greatest challenges one can face as a diver – the hidden world of the underwater caves of Yucatan – all filmed in 3D.

great acting bad direction
7 November 2013
Warning: Spoilers
set in early 13th century, Daoist monk Qiu Chuji travelled for 2 years to stop Genghis Khan and his soldiers from killing in Europe and Asia.

The opening arrow on a map shows the enormous expanse of territory Genghis Khan's soldiers conquered, stretching from Mongolia all the way to Afghanistan. Based on real historical events, the film tells the story of the legendary figure Qiu Chuji, a Taoist priest of Quanzhen Sect of Jin dynasty, who and his disciple travelled for two years to meet in the Khan's camp. Qiu's long journey is inter cut with the Khan's battles, his fierce warriors riding across the plain and laying fiery siege to city walls.

one of the best drama's of 2013
7 October 2013
A newlywed couple cancels their honeymoon and returns to the snowy Midwest to make the funeral arrangements for their best man, who died unexpectedly after their ceremony. i should say this film is not a COMEDY, it is a hard hitting drama about our friends and families that we think we know? i was surprised as i was expecting this film to be a comedy and i just wanted to watch it out of boredom and 30 minutes later i realised this was not that film. i decided to watch it until the end due excellent direction, slow unfolding mystery and the very GOOD acting, i say that was a wise choice because it turned out to be a gem. i will recommend this movie to any one who likes drama film and a very good one it is.

deserves better rating
22 August 2013
A drama centred on two childhood friends who plan to rob an armoured car depository, and the NYPD officer who stands in their way.

well it is not i really don't get who wrote the inscription on this film, i think they have not seen it. plus Dwayne Johnson on the front of poster is misleading he is not the main actor nor he is in the film more than half hour all together and Emma Roberts is hardly in the movie ??? lets get to the point movie had a script has been done hundred times before saying that is no mean the film was bad because it was well written and executed. acting was very good except Dwayne Johnson he just did not fitted the character and made me feel uneasy it almost felt like he did not want to be there. character development was the best one i seen in years you felt like you was there and felt for this guys. directing, camera work and editing was excellent in this. i can not understand why the rating is so low in this movie, i have been watching movies since 70s and i like this movie and recommended it to any one.

sleeper hit of 2013
21 August 2013
i stumbled it by chance had no idea or heard of this film before. i wanted first get this of my chest i started hating parents in films and real life saying we gave up everything for you WHAT A BULL, so now it is the kids fault being born i you had a magic ball showing you if you did not have this kid you would have been the president instead it was the kid who saved you from becoming a drug dealer, prostitute, drug user who died the next year or died of car accident next day so on so on. when did we become so low as blaming our kids for things going wrong? i can not blame no one but myself for my failures and my kids. getting back to the film i have to say the kids in this movie are not your normal average kids they are too mature and intelligent almost not real. i loved the film it was well put together well acted and directed it should be watched by every one as it appeals to wide range of todays society.

western meets undead?
23 July 2013
A cursed gunman (Snipes) whose victims come back from the dead recruits a young warrior to help in the fight against a gang of zombies.A mysterious gunman, Aman, is the son of a nun who breaks her covenant with God to ensure his survival. This act brings a curse upon Aman – all those that die by his gun will return. Soon, he is hunted by a gang of his undead former victims, led by the vicious Kansa. Aman enlists Fabulos, a new young warrior, to fight by his side.

very misleading first of all there is no young warrior just guy he picks up and he is not in it much and mostly does nothing. other then snipes no famous body here. film could have been the comeback of snipes but whoever edit this movie needs to go back to school. there are no zombies in the movie just the undead. very choppy bad edited movie, jumps around a lot then there is the acting it was not bad. i can tell you that there is no character development here just straight action. one time watch at best it is shame, with few scenes more and right editing it would have been a classic.

only little drop in a sea of violence
19 July 2013
Israel vs Israel: To many of their fellow Israelis, they are traitors. They are attacked, arrested and demonized. Yet Israelis like Yehuda Shaul, leader of 'Breaking the Silence' and Jonathan Pollack from 'Anarchists Against the Wall' continue to struggle for a more peaceful Middle East. They believe that they can save their state by putting an end to the military occupation. But the Israeli peace movement has lost momentum in recent years. There is widespread apathy in Israel against ending the Occupation, especially after the withdrawal from Gaza. 'Israel vs Israel' takes a fresh look at one of the leading tensions in Israeli society.

this film gives us small window of the Israeli's occupation in Palestine, very well done and nothing was hold back, however there is some scenes not for the faint hearted. i only wished it actually included some Palestinians's in to production but never the less it captured my heart from the start as it included very professional production and some colourful and intelligent people. i can recommend this film to any one who is remotely interested in cause and effect of Israeli's occupation in Palestine.

Warning: Spoilers
i remember being drowned at the age of 6-7 then soon after recovery i had obsession with the way i walk and step on things now i am 43 and still doing it with number orders. i am doing other things is well at home in my privacy, i have to be honest i realised this when i was 15 years old and i felt very awkward doing these things in my teens constantly checking if any one is actually watching me. i feel for every one who has OCD it did get easier with me over the years and my mum has it worse then me specially with her cleaning people don't want to even walk in to her house. i started not to care what people thought when i was doing this things also realise by observing around i was not alone there was lots of people unknown to me doing the same things i was doing. i am hoping that i will not become like my mum at the moment i am in control, i see from this movie there are people who is not i wished them all the best at getting better. film was well done with a lot of compassion and honesty i recommend it even is you do not have OCD it might make you see things differently.

copy paste directing and fails on every level of film making
28 June 2013
i have to say i do love Jet Li, i have seen all his movies but it is a wonder why he was in this movie although he was not the main actor it was a very bad production. lets start with the script it was lousy something which was done and killed many times i think this film was the actual burial. effects and cgi was done by backstreet dealer. camera man should have had his medicine before even start to work on the day it was that bad. then there is the director i do not know who it was as my knowledge on directors is limited but i can say to you he would be working in Mcdonalds after this movie, he simply try to copy Stephen Chow in to this production but failed on every level on film making. if you want to see a Asian movie today don't bother with this crap go for movie called DRUG WARS thousand times better than this. NOT recommended by me.

real London
21 June 2013
I now seen another Steven Knight film to realise this man knows London, far better then any writer or director. i do not know how he gets his information my guess is from the films he makes it must be first hand. i loved all 3 films he has done about real gritty side of our London which none other writer or director has in this century. coming back to this movie seen Jason Statham taking on such role is a big surprise as we all know he is an action star not drama, but i have to admit with a good directing he did not do bad in this. i am sure Agata Buzek after this movie will gone to make more movies as she done a great job in this one.i can say the film had a great directing, scenario, camera work and some of the best and most gritty places in London. hummingbird is not for everyone especially those high and mighty educated sort who turns a blind eye to what really goes on London's back streets. but as i lived and seen those there is nothing more appealing to my eyes. i can not choose to be ignorant to life a round me how ever bad or miserable it is, i choose not to be blind and try to do what i can. this movie has only one problem that is trying to fit lots of different stories in 100 minutes and fails if they went with the drama side of it it would have been awards deserving from every aspect. i am hoping Mike Knight continuous with his portrayal of real life of London and not stray away from that like so many others there is not much of his kind left in high society. i say go see the movie if you live in London you just might find something of yourself in it. i recommend this movie any one over the age of 16 as it has lot of violence in it.

6 January 2013
i have to say i loved the film best part of the movie was played by Samuel L. Jackson, i myself got to the point wanting to strangle him. i thank every one who made this film and all acted in it, this might be the best film of 2013. this film is a must see i can recommend it to every one over 18, keep it in mind film is very violent lots of nudity and torture scenes in it not for the faint hearted. i myself loved the film due to acting and all the action. N word is used a lot in this film in a very offencive ways it made me feel sick but the give the reality of the times it was needed. all i can say is watch this movie it is one of the best movies i have seen.

i have to say i was entertained in this movie there was never a dull moment. i read the comments here lots of people did not like the movie due to their expectations was too high, mine was not. there are a lots of loopholes in the movie as the tittle suggests lol. acting was 8 out of 10, one other thing was this was not really a science fiction you got to see the time machine to understand where i am coming from.? i see this movie as no sense action movie. if i have seen this 10-15 years ago i would have given it 9 out of ten as it stands best i can give is 7 out of 10, saying this i still think this movie was thousand times better then surrogate and in time.
