Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story (2023)

Enjoying this sooo much! Why the low ratings?

This is so much fun. The story is compelling and very emotional. The acting is great. The characters grow on you. By the 3rd episode I was all in, fully invested in them. Love it love it love it. Have no idea why the score is 6+.

I do have to say it is a bit darker then the 2 seasons we have seen of Bridgerton, but it is as enjoyable. It is more tragic, and we know how the story ends for our main characters, but it does not take away from it, if anything it gives Queen Charlotte depth and we understand how she became what she is today. She and King George changed Britain. They made Daphne and simon possible. Also Lady Danbury ofcourse, amazing character and fun to see her do her thing (would have liked to see less of her and her husbend though lol).

If you liked the last 2 seasons, Watch it.

Falling for Christmas (2022)

made me feel good

This movie made me feel good, And thats all I wanted really.

Felt like a typical christmas movie, joy, fun, love and family.

Totally reminded me of the movie Overboard mashed with 17 Again (because of the "spirit guide" I guess lol).

Don't watch it expecting some grandiose movie, it is a little, cute, cozy and heart warming movie that will simply make you feel good.

If you are the sarcastic type of person, and you don't like kitsch and all kinds of christmas movie cliches, don't waste you time.

I gave it a 9 because it did what I wanted it to do. Made me smile and tear up a bit.

The Lost City (2022)

I don't understand the low ratings. It feels like people want to take this movie seriously when it is not suppose to be serious. I had a lot of fun watching it and I am pretty sure that was the whole point. To relax and enjoy this light and silly movie. Made me feel happy. So thanks to everyone who made this one.

Oh, and all of you who rated this as a 1, because you found it dumb, maybe a bit of relaxing and taking things easier in life can help you be happier, just an advice from a silly movie lover.

The Deep End (2022)

You people need to stop rating based on how much you hate Teal!!!

OMG This is so annoying. People rating based on how much they hate Teal Swan and not the show itself. This makes people think it is a bad documentary, which it is not. It is quite the opposite. Hope people see for themselves and not listen to the idiots here.

Also, I bet so many of her followers came here and rated this low. I feel for you all, wish you didn't need her to feel better. Wish you all the best. Please get better on your own.

The Matrix Resurrections (I) (2021)

Only for Wachowski fans

To the ones who watched Wachowskis Sense8, this will make sense. Do you remember the HUGE wink to the fans during the film? Well, this feels the same. To all those who trash this movie here, it's ok, you just don't get it. You probably expected to be mind blown like you were in the first Matrix, but this wasn't intended to be that. This was intended to reunite our (the REAL fans) beloved characters while laughing about this film actually being made. So please, if you are not a true fan, no need for your dissing just because you don't get the humor or irony of this movie. For me, just watching them a little bit, the matrix characters and also the sense8 cast which was absolutely awesome and nostalgic, is a treat. Letting all of them comeback on the screen and collab with Lana was a delight. So happy to see all those good, loving actors back together again.

Hope all you harsh critics out there, take a step back from your condescendence and realize you are just not getting it. Understandable, it's hard feeling stupid and missing the point.

Everything this man touches, I am hooked. Six feet under was and is the best thing I have ever encountered. now this. Can't beleive it only has one season. but then again, maybe thats what gems are. Enough said.

This score- 5.4 (as I write this) is simply heartbreaking for me. such wonderful text, so much heart and soul. I feel bad for all the people who took part in this gem of a movie. If you have a heart and if you are not afraid of your feelings, watch it. I watched it after reading a review here and now I am so thankful!

After Life (2019–2022)

These 6 episodes are simply human- In the best possible way. I was laughing while tearing up. I got in touch with who I am, and it actually made me think about alot of things in my own life. this is what a good ahow should do- impact you. I have no idea how, but in six (and not long) episodes, I fell in love. with the cast, with the characters they play, with the narrative, with the music, with the very brilliant text and with the life this show has in it. Please watch it. * One problem I have, I just saw they were renewed for a 2nd season. Don't know if that is smart. Hope it doesn't ruin the charm it has.

Ricky Gervais- you are a brilliant man.

Lady Bird (2017)

The movie is good but lacking something

I just finished watching Lady Bird. I saw the trailer and started watching it straight afterwards. This movie is unique, it has some unusual vibe to it. The actors are amazing and the characters are interesting. But, this movie lacks something. I was trying to figure out what and I don't quite know what it is. maybe the plotline, maybe the pace. I do recommend it, but if you are expecting a HAHA comedy, don't watch it. it is more drama then comedy.

Dear White People (2017–2021)

Wow. I discovered this show by accident and was so surprised by how good it was. never heard of it before. Then, just because of this old habbit of mine, went to IMDB to see if people thought it was brilliant like I did, and found all this hate. The score is super low because of people giving the show 1 or 2 stars. Now, how can a show so good get 1 star? I get it if someone did a 7 star, a 6 star or even a 5 star. but 1?!? That made me think.. A show has to be realy controversial in order to do that. man. this made me so sad. Such a great show with so much stuff to do ahead of it, and not many people to appreciate it. such a shame. shame for closed minded poeple. you make me pitty you.

Closer (I) (2004)

Really shallow

The first 15 minutes are great and promising. Too bad the rest of it is nothing like what you expect. Stupid shallow text, awful characters. Such great actors with nothing to work with. Natalie Portman is great,but that is not enough. After seeing this I felt drained and as if someone took two hours of my life for no good reason. The whole story is based on lying and cheating. There is much talk about Love but there is none. The characters are confused and really shallow. How many times can you talk about sex and love in 5 minutes? It seemed there is all there is to it. I don't get it, how this movie got such a good score. forgive me for saying, but I think people who like this are as shallow as this movie is, and have no deep thoughts about a thing except sex and being totally screwed up. Just don't watch this. For your sake.

Top of the Lake (2013–2017)

A 7 for brilliant acting, and wonderful scenery. 0 for plot closure and surprise

The only reason why I decided to write this review is because I was disappointed that I was not warned before seeing this show.

Don't get me wrong, the show had an amazing cast, especially Elisabeth Moss and Peter Mullan who kind of made this show the best it can be. Plus, the scenery is unbelievable. I started looking for flights to NZ after watching.

However, to all of those who usually get things right away, and notice details, you are about to be disappointed, because you will know from the get go (in episodes 1-3) what's about to happen. that was the thing that by the end, made me sad, because I knew all along, and they didn't hide it very well (too obvious in my opinion).

As a viewer, aren't you supposed to be surprised (watching a detective show!)? well, I wasn't. For all of you who are pretty good with intuition, don't watch this thinking you will have an ending that will blow your mind, because you won't. You can still enjoy the acting and the amazing footage.
