EuroTrip (2004)

Good Raunchy Fun

In the tradition of American Pie here is another comedy for adults involving teens. The movie is not well put together but the laughs keep coming. The film is definitly R rated and has enough male and female nudity to last a lifetime. It is still a good film and should be watched soon while in theatres.

50 First Dates (2004)

Happy ending?

I won't give anything away but I thought this film could have gone somewhere else. It was funny and kind of crude. It was what you expect from Sandler and he is a very funny guy. Drew was good and played her role well. The film was okay and had some good laughs but I just felt it missed something. Oh well check it out if you have a chance it is a good date movie.

Wonderland (2003)

This movie is great to me as a real which story is real. I like trying to figure some things out on my own. The acting was pretty good and the murders were very brutal. I hope you have a strong stomach. This is a film that you need to watch the police footage with to get all the details. I hope to watch this film again someday and try and figure it out but now with John dead no one may ever know what really happened.

Thirteen (2003)

Not so typical

This is supposed to be about a typical teenager in today's society and is based on one of the actresses stories about her life. However, after seeing the film I think they are trying to produce a stereotype out of one story. Yes teens face problems with all these things everyday but not every teen falls into such a downward spiral. This is a movie made for adults with troubled teens and nothing more. I do have to say that Holly Hunter did an excellent job as the mother in the film. If you do watch this do not expect much except some wild teen action.

Barbershop 2: Back in Business (2004)

First was Better

Although I thought this movie was really funny the first was still better. It was wrapped around more controversy. Also this movie was made for Cedric. He is the central point of the movie. Not that I mind b/c he is a great comedian. Queen Latifah was very underused but it seems that she has her own barber/beauty movie coming out so that will make up for it. I also like the fact that the Barbershop movies talk about real problems with the way society thinks about things. This movie is good and needs to be watched. I own the first and will own the second.

The Perfect Score (2004)

Average Teen Film. Scarlett still Great.

I think that this film was missing many things in making it good. It was your average teen film with nothing special. Plot was kind of like that of the movie Cheaters. The movie was borderline R rated. The only pluses were the stoned guy the whole film and Scarlett who is quickly becoming one of my favorite actresses. If you must see this film go into it with no thought and you may actually like it. Or you could just go see it for the only two good things mentioned above.

Along Came Polly (2004)

Fun and disgusting

This movie was funny. I was not entirely impressed with it but it was something fun to do for about 2 hours. I think that the film was missing something. It seemed while I watched it that there should have been more to it. It is not your ordinary sappy romance because it is kind of sick at parts. The fart type jokes are all the way through the film. If you have time and are looking for some fun check the film out. It really isn't that bad.

Another sappy chic flic

There is not much I can say about this film. If you like chic flics watch it immediately. It has nothing really special. No great acting. Some decent looking stars. The funniest person in the movie is the girl playing Kathy. The way she keeps talking about things is great. If you are male find a girl to watch it with. You will need to.

The Butterfly Effect (2004)

Suprisingly Good, Smart Great

This film was actually not bad. I think that Ashton Kutcher is not a good actor but this film does show improvements from some of his others. Amy Smart does an excellent job with changing characters. I think she is going places as an actress. The film itself starts fast and ends slow. It was kind of depressing and it made you laugh at all the wrong times. I do think this film is worth watching. Check it out when you get a chance.

Good Will Hunting (1997)

Awesome Film

This film is one of my all time favorites. Although I am not a big fan of either Damon or Affleck I still have to say they wrote a great film. This is movie I could watch over and over again. The language in it is horrible but I look past that. I think that this film should be seen by almost everyone. Check this film out as soon as you get a chance.

Ernest Goes to School (1994)

Same Old Thing

If you like Ernest movies then you will like this one. It is the same slapstick style comedy with your favorite character. I think I out grew this a while back though b/c I was not entirely impressed. That is about all I can say about this film.

My Baby's Daddy (2004)

Anderson's movie

This film was made to finally show off Anthony Anderson. I think that he is a great actor and a good comedian. The film itself was missing something. I would say about 15 minutes worth. About the middle of the film it seems to jump way ahead of itself. Usually not a bad thing but I seem to have lost something in the jump. I did like this movie and thought it was very funny. I hope they have a directors cut with the actual minutes put back in.

Torque (2004)

Nothing Special but a fun watch

I liked this movie. There was nothing special about it at all. Everything looked fake and most of the stunts were beyond believable. Who Cares? It is a fun movie that not only pokes fun at itself but at the makers own other movie Fast and Furious. I thought this was a fun watch and all the votes seem to be coming from people who were looking for a serious movie with great acting. Why? You can tell by previews this is not that kind of film. This is a great way to just entertain yourself. Go see it soon.

The Guru (2002)

Romance Movie?

Why did they turn a sex comedy into some kind of romance movie? In the end I still enjoyed watching this film. It was definitely a different idea that I had not seen. The acting for this was not bad for the type of film it was. Heather Graham had a great performance. I think if she broadened out a bit she would do well in many types of films. The film was lacking something. Probably the sex that the previews promised you. Well all in all it was not a bad film and I would watch it again. Maybe a buy if it was cheap.

The Forsaken (2001)

Wasn't this John Carpenters Vampires?

This has the exact same plot as Carpenter's movie so it must be a Hollywood idea of I have no real ideas myself so I will just steal someone elses. This is just a teen version of the above film. It has nudity and not real good acting. It can be fun at times but not enough. All in all an okay film.

Bedazzled (2000)

Funny Movie with Good Laughs

This was a good movie. The acting was not bad from either side. Elizabeth is worth watching at all times and Brendon did real well switching between the characters he played. This is not for people who are looking for serious films. It is just good old fun. Check it out next time you get a chance. It is worth it.

Fatal Attraction (1987)

A Movie to Scare People Who Commit Adultry

This film was made for one purpose and in that way it works. It was made to scare men from committing adultry. Not a bad way to do so. Movies have been made throughout time to stop people from doing one thing or another. Reefer Madness is a good example. Of course most people know that adultry will not lead to this conclusion. As for the movie there was some good acting along with a decent plot line. The directors cut is worth a watch. Wives rent this for your husbands maybe it will work on them.

Desperately Seeking Susan (1985)

Okay movie, Madonna well?

The movie's plot was okay. It was basically to show off Madonna. She is not a bad actor really but just needs a little work. The movie itself was not really great. It had some funny moments but nothing really worth mentioning. If you want to see it then see it b/c you like Madonna. It's about the only real reason to.

Lost in Translation (2003)

Enjoyable Film with Small Plot

I do not think the plot of this film was supposed to be huge. I thoroughly enjoyed this film from beginning to end. Bill is wonderful and does and excellent piece of acting and Scarlet is a very up and coming actress that will probably become very well know if she keeps this up. It was good to watch and film that made you feel good while you watched it. Maybe SPOILERS: Two people meeting and becoming close friends. Not having sex with each other.

All around I liked this film. I do not know if it deserves the huge publicity it is getting but it was a good watch.

Big Fish (2003)

Entertaining with some Burton added to it

I really did enjoy this film. It wasn't excellent but the story was interesting and the acting was great on almost all parts. Tim Burton did a good job but it was different than most his films. This one was not as dark and was more of a drama than he usually does. People do need to see this film. It is well worth the time spent.

Spice World (1997)

A Good Time Doing Nothing

This film has no real plot but who cares. Once again I ask you why did you rent this film if you are looking for substance. That would have been a waste of your time. The film is for fun and nothing else. Well maybe looking at some hot girls for an hour but that is about all. There is one reference Meat Loaf makes to one of his songs that is pretty funny. Once again a watchable film that is in the bottom 100. What kind of people are renting these films? Check yourself next time your in the video store and if you don't like movies with no real plot then don't see them.

Awakenings (1990)

Great acting Sad Film

The acting was wonderful. The awards for the acting should have came from everywhere but they did not. This is one film that is kind of overlooked at times but is a great one. The plot of the film is a true story so how can you say it is bad. It is a sad movie I am afraid but that does not make it any less of a great film. See this movie if you missed it. If you did see it watch it again.

Some Girls (1988)

Twice by Accident

I actually watched this movie twice. It wasn't on purpose I just forgot what I was watching until about 20 minutes in and then I didn't mind watching it again. The film isn't great but was a good movie. The plot was kind of out there and you kept wanting more of the sex but that is not what this film was actually about. This is more of a drama and the end is kind of sweet really. The acting is not bad either. Most of the actors are not well known but I knew two of them. If you have some time check this film out but don't expect a comdey.

From Justin to Kelly (2003)

Not good but not the worst

I have seen some bad films in my time. I have seen films that made me cry and that was do to the story. This is not one of those films. Is this a good film? Not by a very long shot. It trys to be "Beach Blanket Bingo" and "Grease" except with annoying actors and no catchy songs. This film was mad just to capitalize on the American Idol show which I think is just hilarious anyway b/c none of these people will be famous in about 2 years anyway. This film is by no means good but is also not as bad as people say. If you were a fan of American Idol I think you might actually like the film considering all it is doing is showing off their singing voices.

Stuck on You (2003)

When it comes to these brother directors every other film is great. It is these PG-13 films that hurt them. Something about Mary is great. Me Myself and Irene great. Shallow Hal not so great and now this film. The plot was not that good and the acting was okay but there was a point to this film. Why? There isn't supposed to be in this type of film. Brotherly Love I mean come on. It was still worth the watch and now I can't wait for the next film because it should be good.
