Shin Koihime musô (2009)
Even better than the first!
Now, I have watched season 2, and I have to say that I enjoyed it! In this season, it follows the continuing adventures of Kan'u (Aisha), her sworn sister Lin Lin (Choui) and Chounn (Sei). While in this new season, even more characters are introduced. I will not mention all of the characters, except one particular one; Ryuubi. Ryuubi is a girl who was cornered by the recurring bandits, and they tell her that they "could make her feel good." As usual, Kan'u and her friends come to their aide and whoop their butts into kingdom come. It was revealed that a bandit was using her name Ryuubi Gentsoku, and led a peace group. However, he was revealed to have been a fraud, and he then runs off. Before that, he stole her blade that was passed down from each generation of family members that began with an infamous emperor. Like the first season, hardly anyone dies (except maybe in flashbacks), and the action scenes seemed brief, and no one ever mentions the scenes again. And like in my review of the first season, it balances out adult humor, and has a serious tone to boot. I highly recommend this to anyone who loved the first season. Ten stars out of ten! However, much like
Koihime musô (2008)
If you like women warriors, you will enjoy this anime.
I will personally say, that I absolutely adore this anime. Now, this adventure/ comedy series was based on an adult visual novel based on the novel Romance of the Three Kingdoms. In the visual novel, a man is accidentally taken back in time to an alternate historical China during the end of the Han dynasty. This is where all the male characters in the novel have been gender flipped into women for some unknown reasons. Now, putting the novel aside, the anime is just as good. In Koihime, a young woman named Kannu is a bandit hunter, who was known as the Black Haired Beauty (though, there was a running gag about her attractive hair). Anyway, she wants to free China from bandits. She wants to do this, because bandits killed her brother when she was younger. During her journey, she meets a young girl named Choui who was the leader of the Rin Rin Bandits. She later swears sisterhood with her, and they continue on their journey. They also meet a blue haired girl named Sei (who has an obsession with bamboo shoots, and a crime fighting persona named Butterfly Mask), Bachou, Souso, a general who is obsessed with Kannu's black hair, and other characters. Now the humor in this show isn't that awful. In fact, I compare it to the humor associated with One Peace, and Soul Eater. I like the show, because it is able to balance out humor and seriousness. The only thing I don't like in the show is the main group of bandits that are rather perverted. Seriously, why can't they just kill them? No one would be missing them. But overall, I highly praise this show, and I recommend it to any fan of watching women fight wars. Ten stars out of ten.

This anime is... watchable
I'm kind of mixed about this anime. I'm not saying I hate it, but I don't absolutely admire it either. The show is about a young girl named Lucy, who is a pink horned girl. It may sound weird, but for some reason we see her naked, and wearing a mask. And I have to confess, her escape was EPIC. Her escape makes Hannibal Lecter's escape from incarceration in the " The Silence of the Lambs" look like child's play. She is later shot in the head, and falls into the ocean below. There she is met by a young man named Kouta, and his cousin Yuka. Then after this episode all Hell breaks loose. A lot of people get bloody murdered, limbs fly everywhere, and cuteness is added. I have to admit, though, that the scene where Lucy's dog gets killed is heart breaking. I am satisfied, that she killed those bullies, but some people she murdered were arguably good or evil. I also like/dislike the song Lilium. I am also unhappy that the anime ended with 13 episodes. It is continued in the comic adaption, though. I also love its message saying that you should treat people the way you would want to be treated, and that humanity can be monstrous at times. However, due to its pointless gore, it covers up the message. I don't highly recommend this show to anyone, but I assure you that you would have an have an enjoyable time with it.
Higurashi no naku koro ni (2006)
Truly a magnificent anime
Now this show, has got to be one of the best cartoons that Japan had to offer. To think of the plot, think of Happy Tree Friends meeting Pokemon. In the show, a boy named Keiichi, moves to the town of Hiniwazama. There he meets these girls, and they start acting rather strange. On a day that is called the Day of Cotton (I presume), one person is brutally murdered, and one is spirited away by "demons." They believe that their local god was responsible for this, and believed that he was judging them. Now the plot, is kind of a mind screw, but somehow, a loop occurs over and over, and the characters enter another world after they had failed in one. In season two, it was explained that the villain was a nurse named Takano Miyo (whom I despise) who was trying to kill Rika, to see if the village would fall with her, and become God (OF COURSE!). And it was also revealed that there was a disease called the Hiniwazama Syndrome, that made all the characters crazy, and Miyo used the disease to kill off her villagers. Despite it being dark, it was rather enjoyable. I wouldn't recommend it to children though, unless they watch it with their parents.
Umineko no naku koro ni (2009)
What A Waste of My Life.
This anime, was terrible. It was a spiritual successor to one of my personally favorite cartoons Higurashi When They Cry.In the story, an elderly man named Kinzo is dying, and his children go to the island to discuss his burial. However, a tsunami later strikes, and they are trapped on the island. Then the murders occur.I would've been perfectly fine with this anime, had it had the relatives psychologically murder each other for the endless sums of gold, but no, they had to add witches and magic. The show is just one huge mind screw, and I could barely watch it without trying to figure out what the heck was going on.I also disagree with all the women (except Maria, and an old woman) have huge breasts. It's supposed to be a horror anime, not a Moe one.I also hated Battler, because he refused to believe in magic, even though he meets the Endless Witch Beatrice, and sees his family murdered in supernatural manners.I give the show credit, however, that it has an amazing opening, and an epic ending theme. But, I do not recommend this show, unless you want to waste nine minutes of your life.
