Boring!
27 December 2023
I've seen some bad films but apart from the characters who are all just unlikeable, this movie is just plain old boring. I wanted to like it but I didn't. It felt more disappointing considering it was a direct sequel from the original TCM but even if I am bored, I always force myself to get through a movie (at least 99%) of the time unless it's just really bad! I thought the town setting was promising and enjoyed the gore, but that's the only positive thing I can really say about this film. If we ever get anymore TCM films, hopefully it's made with a lot more creativity because this franchise is desperately needing something fresh.

Still Alive!
20 July 2023
I really like and enjoyed Scream 6 a lot more after watching it a third time around. Melissa Barrera hogs the limelight in this entry and has evolved as Samantha Carpenter. Courtney Cox, once again was just amazing to watch and the only complaint I have about the casting is Josh Segarra as I found his character boring as well as his acting. The opening scene was unique and very entertaining. It was great to see a lot more intense chase scenes and some very memorable kills. The downside is that I found it far-fetched that some characters seem to be superhuman after getting stabbed a lot, even from previous films also, but it is only a movie right? All-in-all it's a solid entry and not one Scream film has ever disappointed me thank goodness!

Melrose Place (1992–1999)
10/10
My favourite show of the 90's!
27 October 2022
I started watching Melrose Place when I was only Seven years old and now at age thirty five it is still one of the most entertaining shows to this day. The majority of characters were very likeable and exceeded in their roles, especially the females in particular. I enjoyed watching this bunch of conniving people going to such great lengths to get what they want no matter how extreme certain storyline's may have been. I do agree with most fans that the creators killed off way too many good characters and the show became a bit rocky once season 5 had ended. I still enjoyed seasons 6 & 7 despite this, but seasons 2, 3, 4 and 5 were the absolute standouts, hence why the score still gets a 10 in my book.

Terrifieringly boring!
23 October 2022
It was only a few days ago that I found out Terrifier 2 was going to have a limited theatrical release to Australian cinemas on the 28th for only four nights and I was very excited until I finally found I could watch it online today. I'm so glad I didn't pay any money to this over-hyped mess of a movie. Their is no plot, no character development and I have to agree with a lot of disappointed reviewers about the run time being unnecessarily long. It bored me but I stuck it out hoping something would be redeemable and that just didn't happen. I don't understand why people are vomiting and passing out in cinemas as I've seen worse gore in other films over the years and none of it shocked me. However I will say that Sienna and Allie were both good actors and that Allie should of had more screen time.

Ignore the uptight fussy viewers!
3 September 2022
I was hooked from the opening hospital scene right until the end. Once again, we have viewers who really have too many high expectations and think that their are plot holes, bad special effects and that Fuhrman wasn't believable as a child. She certainly looks like a child in this movie and slays her role once again. The twist was very unexpected and not how I imagined the film to take direction and that makes for good viewing! I also found Julia Styles performance very engaging and it was nice to see her on the big screen again. The only little criticism I have was feeling a little underwhelmed by the performances of the male actors but otherwise their is nothing else to complain about. However, Watch it and don't take it so seriously!

I love this movie!
28 August 2022
This is yet another Jamie Blanks film that is hugely underrated just like the 1998 film Urban Legend. Thankfully I have been happy to read on numerous websites it has only just started to be appreciated and finally garner some positive recognition, deservingly so. It boasts a drop dead gorgeous cast and I just love anything with Denise Richards despite all the crap she gets. The pacing of this film is good, we get some very gruesome, inventive and memorable death scenes and some good twists in the third act. Do yourself a favour and purchase the blu ray collectors edition packed with special features.

Entertaining!
27 August 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Halloween H20 is far better than most in the franchise. It has a very dark atmosphere throughout its duration which is always important to lure in a viewer and I just don't understand the hate it gets. From the opening scene to the final act is nothing but entertaining and the whole cast were enjoyable to watch. It may not be as bloody or gory but I liked the fact that this entry didn't focus on a high kill count but rather built up the tension of Michaels unknowingly presence by most. That is, of course until Laurie realises her brother is back and then H20 consistency delivers right till the end.

Despite my take on the low level of violence, their is one memorable scene that really stands out involving Sarah's character and it's brutality shocks me everytime. Halloween (1978), Halloween 2 (1981), Halloween H20 (1998) and the new instalments as of 2018 is my preferred way to view the franchise.

Oh dear!
13 July 2022
It started off interesting for at least half-an-hour and just got boring and even more boring. I mainly watched it for Rose McGowan but even she couldn't save this mess of a movie.

Denise rules!
4 July 2022
Please ignore all of the Denise hate. Denise does not ruin this movie! She's great like all the other cast who all deliver in their performances. This is a fun masterpiece of manipulation and much more without giving away spoilers. I feel people who hate Denise, actually don't understand her role too well in this film.

Not that bad!
28 March 2022
Yes, I like it and I like it better than the first film! We all know what we're in for with straight to dvd sequels most of the time and for sure, it's no masterpiece but I found it entertaining and it didn't mess with my silly brain like the first one did. Mila Kunis has stated how ashamed she is of this film but every celebrity has to start somewhere but I think her performance is really good here. Most of the cast are not memorable but I did like Lindy Booth (Wrong Turn, Dawn of the Dead, Cry Wolf). It's very camp but a fun movie.

Scream 3 (2000)

Leave it alone. It's actually not that bad.
16 March 2022
I'll never understand all the flack this entry receives. Reviewers saying Neve Campbell hardly gets any screen time need to rewatch. The film runs for almost two hours and she's in plenty of it. The good: Learning about Maureen Prescott, Dave, Neve and Courtney together again, Parker Posey alone was just a stand out character in this film and much more without going into spoilers. However we have a lot of very uninteresting and forgettable characters and the death scenes were very tame. All-in-all Scream 3 is still a very entertaining film and deserves a more positive reception.

A very good sequel!
16 March 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I'm very surprised to see some negative reviews about Scream 2. We have a solid and entertaining opening sequence, a whole lot of suspense, more kills, good chase scenes, interesting and likeable characters and its so impressive that it was all made not long after the first Scream. Nothing disappointed me at all. Debbie Salt is insane and she does it so well!

Criminally underrated!
14 March 2022
This film has a fantastic opening, an awesome cast who are all good actors, full of suspense, inventive kills and a whole lot more. I could go on and on. It's criminally underrated and doesn't deserve its low score on here. Kudos to Rebecca Gayheart and Loretta Divine who really stood out with their performances here and of course that chase scene with Tara Reid is one of the best in a slasher film.

Ignore the hate.
11 March 2022
Peoples expectations really blow my mind. I think most of us are aware that only very few sequels can outdo the original and expect the follow ups to either be a masterpiece or better. This movie is still entertaining, has beautiful set pieces and a good story. Ignore the hate and jump into the fantasy world without high expectations.

The Pool (2001)

Splash/Slash Fun!
19 January 2022
The Pool was surprisingly good! The opening is very cliche in a good way and had me intrigued. Kristen Miller(Sarah) I found to be very likeable and her bestie Carmen was tolerable. They should have kept Isla Fisher and James McAvoy in it for longer and also the actress who played Mel was also quite likeable, as well as her love interest in the movie. The three male survivors are just awful and should have been slaughtered first or at least before some of the likeable characters. Apart from some bad dialogue and some bad acting, it was still entertaining. We get some great chase scenes, plenty of blood, some creative kills and a creepy score thought out the film. Definitely a favourite of mine!

90's Pleasure
18 January 2022
I really love this movie and Rose McGowan' performance. A lot of movies in the 90s, even 80's had-if-not the same or similar storyline but this one is truly a gem to me. You really empathise with Debbie, understand why she's so damaged and quite frankly find it hard to dislike her even when things start getting crazy. Their are definitely some laughable one-liners in this film but it's one of many more reasons why I love it!

A good sequel.
18 January 2022
FD2 is entertaining right from the get-go. It wastes no time delivering the best premonition sequence out of the franchise to date and the kills to follow are very inventive. I really enjoyed A. J. Cook' performance and it was great to see Ali Larter return. Unpopular opinion- but I believe it outdoes the original!

I wasn't sure at first, but..
17 January 2022
I wasn't sure after my first viewing but today I enjoyed watching this gruesome-splatter-fest again. I think everyone is forgetting that this is a continuation, hence their isn't really meant to be much of a story here and I'm sure we will definitely see more of Jamie in Halloween Ends. It does makes sense for her not to have as much screen time here but otherwise I think it's a solid entry with some flaws- especially a scene involving one of the main females at the end was surprising. Otherwise still entertaining and doesn't deserve most of its criticism.

Scream (I) (2022)
10/10
Very enjoyable!
16 January 2022
Warning: Spoilers
For the first time since Scream 2 I was genuinely sinking in my cinema seat in terms of some really suspenseful scenes. The scene with Judy Hicks and her son Wes especially built up the tension well and I believe it is a standout scene of Scream (2022). Of course, disappointed with certain outcomes and characters fates but not everyone can survive...can they? It was fast-paced, scary and payed a decent amount of homage to the previous instalments and I liked the motive behind the new killings. However, I am surprised that some viewers really disliked the motive. As always, great to see the originals back who gave their all, performance wise. I would have liked a little more character development, some more killings, more screen time for Judy Hicks and some lengthy chase scenes but otherwise I can't complain too much here and can only hope this is the beginning for a new legacy of films- with or without the original cast.
