Real Gangsters (2013)
Piece of Trash (Don't waste The Time.)
How hard is it to make a film that is worth watching. I got hold of this one hoping for something intelligent as well as entertaining. I seen that it received a rating of 7.3 out of ten. Then I began watching this and if this is how the real mobsters act then no wonder they spend more of their life in prison than on the streets. I seen nothing of any kind worth losing a hour of my life on before I turned it off and threw away this trash of a film. The acting was awful the dialogue was 3rd grade level at best. Not worth the time to get this. I just wish I could get that hour of my life back. So I rated this a one star since I couldn't give it a minus 10 stars. It is seriously awful.
Every Time We Say Goodbye (1986)
Lost Gem, that should be a Diamond!
I just happened to be channel surfing when I ran across this lost gem of Tom Hanks. He plays an American (David Bradford) in The British RAF during world war 2. The reason is the US hasn't entered the war yet. He is stationed in Jerusalem and while attending a celebration of sorts meets the love of his life played by Christina Marsillach (Sarah Perrara). It's an incredibly dramatic, romantic, touching, and realistic story of young love in the 1940s. The film focuses in on their forbidden love affair, and Hanks and Marsillach have amazing on-screen chemistry. The characters are remarkably real and raw, as is the storyline. There is no sugar-coated perfect ending, but it's not depressing either. This is one of those rare films that is able to capture at once both the dispair of human prejudices and the optimism of human determination. I highly recommend it even if it is one of Tom Hanks lessor known films.
Gossip (2000)
Drama With Plot And Suspense
I recently seen this movie and I must say I was more than impressed. I was totally in shock when I discovered the final ending to the story. Yes Kate Hudson's performance is not some of her best work. (The Skelton Key) But all in all the rumor mill started by 3 college students. They want to see how starting a rumor about someone will change when it gets back to them as a class experiment. Not realizing that words even said innocently can hurt and destroy peoples lives. This is all I will say about this film for now except to say don't let the anyone influence you watch this MOVIE yourself. Then you can make up your own mind. As for me I rated this an 8/10.
Grey's Anatomy (2005)
Great Sunday Entertainment
Having watched the entire series now I have to highly recommend this show. I have been through quite a few evening "soap operas" and I can say that this one has the makings of drawing you in from the start. On one hand I can't exactly say with all certainty that this is a typical day in the life of hospital medical staff about to finish up their required courses to be able to say yes I am a surgeon. And be able to call the shots or hand their own shingle. But after watching this program the way the day to day personal lives have intertwined at the hospital they are working in Seattle.
You begin to say way how much like real life are these stories. You can begin to feel for these characters and also to have others that will bother you to know end. All in all I would give this show on a rating of 1-5 with 5 being the highest a 10. The show has way exceeded my expectations and now I can't wait for the new season to begin. Hopefully ABC won't make us wait too long before this season is released on DVD.
