The Last of Us (2023)
Another zombie series, nothing more
So far the pilot episode is the best, other than that, unnecessary side stories, that won't add any value to the main plot. I think the writers are just recycling the walking dead again, and trying to squeeze some revenues as much as they can, also emphasizing on the "no one is safe" cliche used in the walking dead. Another thing I was disturbed with was the obvious direction episode 7 "left behind" was taking since I know HBO has no... how should I put this?... No boundaries. I think with this bland and slow pace story the show will not survive for another season. But hey! This is HBO they have the money to keep a dead fish in a tank. Also how dare you rate this show putting it in par with great shows like Breaking Bad???
Lastly, Go play the game, it's way better, you can really feel how sincere its creators were when they made it.
IMDb on the Scene - Interviews: Beast (2022)
This movies is so bad no body is bothering to review it
Dr. Nate Samuels takes his daughters Norah and Meredith to their mother's village in South Africa where they encounter an angry lion lost his pride to poachers, that sounds promising right? Well sorry guys but you are in for a huge disappointment, because this is definitely the worst and the poorest movie you'll ever seen for Elba.
The girls are so annoying throughout the movie, their act is not convincing at all, as if they were reading script from a teleprompter on the set.
Script is so poor and pages of it are filled with "you guys are OK?", it's so bad you can turn the volume all the way down and still figure the dialogue very easily.
As for Idris Elba his acting was bland and that spark we always we used to see in him is gone in this movie. Heck! The lions did better that the whole cast, except for Sharlto Copley. He did good.
Cosmic Sin (2021)
Indeed a cosmic sin movie
I had to finish the film, otherwise I won't be able to review it here. And believe me it was a torture.
So basically someone blackmailed Bruce Willis with a sex tape or something, he was forced to act in this film. I have never seen such a dull movie since samurai cop. I wouldn't be surprised if at some point I heard "Action!" and "Cut". The dialog felt like they were shooting actors separately. And I can bet they never met each other at a set. Overall, it's a very bad movie. Please don't watch it.
Color Out of Space (2019)
Amazingly boring
I don't even know how to start, I'm doing my best here. There's nothing really going here, I thought i was up for a visual treat, and a mind bending story, instead I ended up burning my retina with the exaggerated purple color in the movie. Cage did fail again in acting.
The story goes like this: A glowing meteor falls in the front yard of an already mentally disturbed family.... and then... I was waiting for a plot to unfold when all the sudden ending credits rolled. I can't explain the absurdity of this movie.
Don't waste your time and sight watching this useless pointless movie.
28 panfilovtsev (2016)
A very well done movie
This movie is simply excellent in all aspects, camera movement was amazing, all WWII scenery was there in full details. No CG what so ever is used in this movie, and that's the beauty of. It reminded me somehow with The battle of jadotville. Totally recommended to watch. You wont regret it.
Without Remorse (2021)
Total waste of time
Are you sure this is a Tom clancy's movie?
It's "I'm gonna revenge" kinda cliche movie, the invincible guy who's got lucky every time. There is no originality in this movie, I found my self ramping up the play speed until the credits rolled, The main character's action is very dull, and totally disconnected. It was painful to watch. Go watch sharknado or something in stead, at least you know already it's a stupid movie.
2001: A Space Odyssey (1968)
I didn't make any sense
First things first. So I'm giving it 5 stars Just because of the genius style directing of Stanley Kubrick. With that being said, thank god for the play speeding option in Netflix, also the ten second skip button, oh man that was great too. So the story goes like this apes scene for 25 minutes or so, it was very painful to watch, then a pen rolling in zero gravity scene for some time, then a ship docking for some 15 minutes or so, then "I'm not at liberty to talk about it" cliche, then another scene of ship floating around for more than 10 minutes, then a high frequency sound. then another space ship heading to Jupiter, then a computer want to be a skynet of some sort, and oh there is an intermission in this movie do you believe that? then an elongated scene of lines coming at you for more that 10 minutes, then a guy looking at himself eating looking at him self in a bed looking at a monolith looking back at a baby in a sac looking at earth !! then roll credits. does that make sense? I mean what the hell was that?
One thing I concluded from this movie is "Moon landing was not a hoax, and Kubrick did not direct it" green screens or whatever they used at the time were very obvious.
Killing Gunther (2017)
Fun to watch
I don't get it, why this movies is having low rating? Thank god I watched it before reading the reviews here. This movie is on amazon prime now. It's fun to watch with lots of original arnold's catchphrases. You will be entertained for sure. the whole cast is lovable, and arnold, well he's arnold.
Searching (2018)
Simply brilliant
Where do I start, I was looking for something to watch on Netflix, and i saw this movie's thumbnail, then i scrolled passed it, then on a second thought I clicked on it. And oh boy what a discovery. This movie shows how parents can be completely strangers to their kids, it also shows you the power of connectivity and social media. This movie took the concept of computer screen recording to the next level. The acting is spot on, and the story build up couldn't been better.
I totally recommend watching this movie. Search it ;)
The Protector (2018)
It's good but could have been better
There is some originality in the story and that is why i liked the series.
All the technical matters were done professionally such as camera movements, sound, editing and so on, meaning, definitely little above Netflix standards. Now I liked that the series ended in four seasons, because it couldn't being stretched further into more. One other cause for me to like the series is my personal passion and love with Istanbul which you will have the chance to see plenty of it in this series. In conclusion this is a straight forward story once you wrap your head about the idea, whit some cliff hangs between season which won't be an issue now that all four seasons are available.
Avengement (2019)
The crown of Adkins commitment
I watched this movie on Netflix with no much anticipations, But it turned to be one of the best budget movies I have seen in a while. The story is a straight forward gradual transformation of a personality to the maximum brutality mind set. I totally recommend this movie.
The Walking Dead (2010)
Far stretched, It's destined for failure
At first my mind was blown away with the pilot an pretty much the first season. I also get it "No character is safe". I was pretty much me being waiting until the next episode. This suspense was maybe until the end of season 3. Then something went wrong with the show, I became less excited about the next episode. As the show continues my excitement was fading gradually, until i reached a point of being passive toward the show. I understand that the show is making a good profit, and that the creator wants to benefit from that. However reaching a level of stretching the episodes to a stage where the dialogue of a 45 minutes episode does not fill an A4 size page with a font size of 20, is intolerable. The hiss sound of the silence is becoming the main characteristic feature in the show, accompanied with long long scenes of nonsense. It reached a state that you can watch only the first episode of any season and the season finale without missing a thing in between. And that is where the creators have to think seriously how to put an end to the show while it holds some dignity in it.
Oh, and by the way, I lost interest in the show from season 5.
In conclusion, I believe this show is going to follow the path of failure the same way happened with LOST or PRISON BREAK.
Skybound (2017)
waste of time
Ok, Here's what feel right now "I punished my self watching this movie", seriously, do not watch it. Bad dialogue, bad acting, actually actors were really acting. CG Ugh, don't let me even start. The only good thing is that i watched it on netfilx so i had the greatest option ever "Skipping" scenes of killing boredom.
There are no even spoilers to worry about. this movie is a straight forward trash.
How It Ends (2018)
why the 20 mil for the budget
I usually don't do reviews, but this movie forced me to review it, mostly because of the budget allocated for its making.
There is nothing original in the story. The acting was obvious. the dialog is so dull and shallow you can figure it out with the audio muted. Most of its scenes were shot in the dark, and i believe the producer thought with doing that he might add suspense to the movie but it ended up a big fail.
Overall its bad unwatchable, you will get bored. Guaranteed.
Transformers: The Last Knight (2017)
I Left the theater with a headache
I don't even know where to start. first what the hell is Mr. Hopkins doing in this pile of crap. all i cant tell about this movie is it is a series of pointless scenes, so noisy, no story, no plot, it builds up to nothing. Actually, it does build up to a sever headache. and to extend the suffering the movie is more than two hours long. I gave it 2 stars out of generosity. long story short Transformers must have no more sequels.
Revolt (2017)
Low Budget you say Huh?
I said i will give it a chance after my great disappointment with some huge budget movies, i told my self it won't hurt watching a movie with not too much anticipation. But it turned to be one of those movies that you won't forget for a long time, the acting is super especially those very very talented African actors, they managed to deliver reality in its true form. the script is smart and straight to the point, lead actor has great potential in him, editing is fantastic, and the story is straight forward with no twists. overall i enjoyed the movie even with some not so perfect CGI. totally recommended.
