Da 5 Bloods (2020)

Delroy Lindo will get an Oscar for his magnificent performance
12 June 2020
He is the best thing about the film, and has delivered the best performance of his brilliant career. Even though he is the lead he should run in supporting actor category to get a better shot at winning the thing.

Russell Crowe's performance will leave you stunned
29 May 2020
Simply put, Crowe is astonishing as Roger Ailes. He plays an extremely unlikeable character and yet you can't keep your eyes off him. All down to Crowe's magnetic screen presence. The Loudest Voice is a brilliant mini-series about the rise and fall of Roger Aisles. Highly recommend it.

The most useless, spineless and pathetic leading man in the history of television
16 May 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Gets everyone around him killed by making one stupid decision after another but doesn't have the balls to hurt anyone when given the chance. The most pathetic character I have ever seen. That alone makes this a 4 star show at best.

Started off great but needless subplots and a stupid love story ruined it for me
21 April 2020
This had the potential to be so so good. First 3 episodes I was completely hooked, but then they started to concentrate on useless subplots and ruined it. If they had only stuck to the original story of family ,brotherhood, yakuza then this would have been the best crime series of the year. But then writers lost the plot. I had no interest in Sarah and Kenzo's love story, or Taki's relationship with the girl, or Rodney's story. All of that had nothing to do with the actual. I had to fast forward the last few episodes because it became so boring to watch. Great potential but completely ruined by a needless love story

One of the best TV shows I have seen in a long time. Can't wait for season 2!

Incredible mystery with a superb message to all the parents out there. If your children have a passion in life then encourage them and dont cut their wings off. The girl who plays Hildi gave an incredible performance. She is going to be a superstar. I can't wait for season 2. Well done Apple!

The Irishman (2019)
10/10
An astonishing and unforgettable masterpiece!
27 November 2019
Not enough words can describe this movie. It's very long but never boring, thanks to 3 outstanding performances by legends DeNiro, Pesci and Pacino. They all deserve to get Oscar nominations. In Pesci's case, he deserves to win Best Supporting Actor. His Russell Baffalino character is totally different to his Tommy in Goodfellas. Soft spoken and never raises his voice but just as menacing and scary. A pleasure to see him on screen after 11 years. An incredible performance by one of the best actors ever.

Cameos by Stephen Graham and Keitel were brilliant too. I wish Keitel had more scenes. He had one big scene and he stole it. The last 1 hour of the movie is what makes The Irishman a truly great movie. Its Scorcese at his very best. Movie of the year and movie of the decade. They don't make movies like these anymore.

Eddie Murphy is mesmerising in one of the best movies of the year.
25 October 2019
"Dolemite is my name" is one of my favourite movies of the year so far along with Joker and Parasite. It's largely down to the career best performance by Eddie Murphy, who is simply mesmerising as Rudy Ray Moore. He brings so much energy to this role, along with his charm and humour. Eddie has never been this funny. Most of the jokes are raunchy so it might not be for everyone but it's impossible not to fall in love with Eddie in this film. I hope he is nominated in the best actor category at Oscars. He could even win it because he is that good.

Apart from Eddie, the film is full of brilliant performances, in particularly by Wesley Snipes who matches and sometimes steals the show from Eddie. It's a true ensemble. It's a shame that this movie is not getting a wide theatrical release because let me tell you if there is one film this year which needed to be seen on the big screen it's 'Dolemite Is My Name". A hilarious, heartfelt film which gives a really positive message to everyone who has a dream. A must-see crowd pleaser.

Joker (I) (2019)
10/10
Astonishing performance by Phoenix. Last 20 minutes will blow your mind away.
17 October 2019
It's a very slow paced character study showing the death of Arthur Fleck and the birth of Joker. Joaquin Phoenix has given the best performance of the year and it will be a travesty if he doesn't win the Oscar. As a mentally ill person he is brilliant and when he becomes the Joker he takes his game to the next level. The last 20 minutes of the film are absolutely sensational and you wish it never ended. Lastly, I must mention the score of this movie. Its absolutely amazing and fits the movie perfectly. Ignore the bad critics reviews and watch the movie. You wont be disappointed.

Lads DO NOT miss this film. It's pure action brilliance.
25 September 2019
If you liked Taken, then you will love this. It's a very very violent but a fantastic action piece and Stallone as always is brilliant in it. Don't listen to critics. The last 20 minutes of this movie will get your adrenaline pumping.
