RED 2 (2013)
Totally Disagree with it being a good sequel
It follows the typical sequel to a movie that did well and everyone wants to cash in on the money. The plot is too thin and just keeps adding another twist to the plot to hopefully hold your interest but when all is said and done, it's not that good. Some of the characters seem to have changed from the original. Sarah was a good next door neighbor type but now she's a arrogant bi - - - that thinks she knows more than her ex CIA boyfriend. Just a quickly put together money grabbing movie. So if you ask me, don't waste your money on it. If this is the first time you are seeing either of the two movies, it'll probably be good, but if you have seen the first already and are hoping for another good jolt, then you'll be disappointed... if you ask me that is.
The Art of Love (1965)
terribly funny
This one needs to be out on DVD, with all the violent stuff Hollywood is putting out nowadays, this needs to come out so that we can laugh again. As one other poster commented, PLLLLLLEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAASSSSSSSEEEEEEEEEEE! get this one out. Dick Van Dyke is just hilarious and the way he gets back at his long time friend James Garner is terrific. They don't come up with plots like this in Hollywood anymore. I hope more people can get their votes out on this fabulous movie. Its one of the classics that has been forgotten again, just like some of Danny Kayes classics like "KNOCK ON WOOD" or "MERRY ANDREW" or Bob Hope's "OFF LIMITS".
Knock on Wood (1954)
an excellent comedy
This ranks right up there with Danny Kayes "The Court Jester" when it comes to funny. You really need to pay attention to the dialog, because there are so many neat little jokes to hear. Such as when Danny Kaye tries to talk to his agent on whether or not he is crazy or peculiar. I won't tell you how it goes but it's very cool the way his agent lets him know. Then there are so many little things going on in this movie that even though I've watched the movie a numerous amount of times it still seems to be a longer movie than it really is. There is just so much going on in the movie. This is a really good family movie where everyone will enjoy it.
Off Limits (1952)
a good Hope Movie
This is a very good Bob Hope movie. He does a wonderful job of playing a military person that really isn't very military minded. His usual pranks to get out of something he doesn't want to do, doesn't let you down, and I love the way he always gets a jab at his old buddy Bing in his solo movies, and he has a very neat way of doing it in this movie. The only thing I don't understand in the movie is that the champ refers to "women" as buffaloes. Does anyone know where or why that term was used in those days. This is the only movie I've ever heard them refered to as.
