The Art of Racing in the Rain (2019)

Truly an incredible movie

Rarely do I get emotional watching a movie except for this one. I actually had to stop the movie because my eyes were welling up with tears. By far this is one of the best movie's I have seen in years. Very well produced and directed. The movie is narrated by the dog and very well done. I highly recommend this film to every one. If it doesn't touch your heart I would be very surprised.

The Irishman (2019)

Where is Bobby Ciaro

Great movie although Bobby Ciaro who was Hoffa's right hand man is nowhere to be seen in this epic movie. For a 3 hour movie based on factual events I found it to be very strange as Ciaro was a major player in Hoffa's life

Once Upon a Time... in Hollywood (2019)

This film takes me back to this time and place

This film really took me back to the time. I was living out in LA around that time for about 6 months and a lot of scenes in the movie took me to that time when I was there. I was only 20 when I went out there in 1968. The hippie craze was going full blast and I had a great time there. Unfortunately after the Manson murders took place everything changed sadly and peace and love were no more. This is another masterpiece of Tarantino. I am an avid fan of his movies and always give the majority of them a 10. He put some incredible actors in this film. I know that he spent 5 years to write this originally as a book but decided it would be better as a film.

An Acceptable Loss (2018)

Not a bad movie at all

I normally do not write reviews but when I see a decent movie like this with terrible ratings I should say something. The plot was very good and so was the acting. I would highly recommend this movie to anyone that likes movies about cover ups especially at the high level in Government. Most of the movies I watch are on Comcast and the showed a rating of 13%. There ratings come from Rotten Tomatoes.

The Highwaymen (2019)

Costner gets cast in too many of these roles !!

I think that someone other than Kevin Costner should have been cast for this film. He has already been cast as Wyatt Earp, then cast as Elliot Ness in the movie "The Untouchables" and now cast as this guy, a Texas Ranger, who is the last hope of catching Bonnie and Clyde. There could be other people who could have played the part as good or even better than he could. Give someone else an opportunity for a change. I gave it two stars only because I'm tired of seeing Costner in these type of roles.

Kong: Skull Island (2017)

Not as bad as some think it is

I enjoyed this movie although it seems many did not. It was not produced to get an Oscar for sure. It was developed as a decent SciFi type movie for entertainment only. I thought the effects were very good. It had a decent cast and the story line wasn't bad. If you're looking for a movie that is a lot of fun to watch this is one of them. I gave it a 9.

The Recall (2017)

Not That Bad

This is my first review and a short one at that. I never go by any other reviews because I believe in actually seeing the movie first by determining what it is in my opinion, not others. I didn't think that this movie was all that bad. During the first 15 or 20 minutes into it I couldn't figure out what Wesley Snipes was doing but later on in the movie he figured into it pretty good. I thought the special effects were good and the acting wasn't really that bad. A lot of people figured it was the run of the mill ho hum scifi flick but it did hold my interest. I am a devout scifi guy. Watch it and you decide if it meets the caliber of what you think a movie should be. That is pretty much it.
