This movie sucked big time. I never saw the first one so I am not comparing it to the first one. I saw it because a friend gave the DVD to me as a gift and I couldn't return it. SO I had no choice but to check it out. Most people who hated this movie were right. The snob characters were so one dimensional and carbon copies of each other. Robert Stack's character was snobbish and outwardly mean and nasty for no reason. His friends were snobbish and outwardly mean and nasty for no reason. His daughter was snobbish and outwardly mean and nasty for no reason and so on. Why on earth would Jackie's daughter want to hang out with them?
Jackie Mason should take target practice because he was shooting off 20 jokes per second and totally missing the mark. Every time Chevy Chase would show up, I would hate him. As the movie progressed and he shows up again, I hated him even more. None of his jokes or weird antics produced even a smile.
What the was Dan Ackroyd doing in this movie and why did he go after the gopher after it stole his twinkies?
The movie was predictable and has no redeeming quality to it. Maybe Randy Quaid shined in it alittle but that is not saying much. Don't waste your time and make sure to tell your friends not to get you this movie.
