The Hunger Games: Catching Fire (2013)

Loved it. Amazing movie.

Okay, why it got a 7.9 rating is beyond me. I thought this movie was absolutely amazing. Jeniffer Lawrence was outstanding, and once again wowed us with her amazing acting. And as did Josh Hutcherson with his amazing performance - their acting was completely flawless and breathtaking and it is no surprise to me that Jen has made it onto so many top actress lists in 2013.

The whole movie I was completely captivated by both the story line and the actors. The movie made me feel so many emotions, due to the fact the actors were brilliant in telling this story. I have watched both of the hunger games movies plenty of times, and have not felt bored once and yet more intrigued each time. I'm completely baffled by anyone who says you have to read the books to understand the movie. I had not read any of the books before seeing the Hunger Games movies, and yet understood the story lines completely. However I have since read the books, because I was feeling deprived, and hated the fact that I have to wait so long to watch the next installment. Of course the books are more in depth (good job Suzanne), you couldn't possibly put the whole story into the movies, otherwise we'd be sitting there for a whole day. But that's not to say that the movie is not as good as the books, it's just not as detailed, and leaves out parts that do not necessarily need to be there. I am extremely excited for the Hunger Games Mockingjay part 1 and part 2. I can't wait to see more great performances by Jen and Josh, and will hopefully get to see more of Liam in this movie too. Also I am excited to see Natalie Dormer and Lily Rabe - they're also both brilliant actors - and it will be exciting to see their faces in the upcoming production.

I give the Hunger Games Catching Fire a 10/10 for both the story and the amazing actors. This is a great adaptation and is definitely a must see movie.

The Secret Life of Walter Mitty (2013)

Definitely worth watching.

I went and saw this movie, simply for the fact that I was bored and there was nothing on that really jumped out at me... this movie seemed like it would be okay, and so I decided to give it ago. Let me tell you this is a movie that is so much more than you would think it could be. It is one of those movies that you watch and makes you want to do things, and travel and live your life to the fullest. It's an inspirational story about a man who is alive but not really living, and then one day everything changes and he's forced to try new things. It is definitely a movie I would see again and would recommend to anyone who may need a little push in their life. You won't regret seeing it.

Endless Love (2014)

Good, Cute Movie.

Personally I actually liked this movie, regardless of the annoying people sitting behind me laughing the entire movie and the people sitting beside me who were crying the whole entire time for god knows what reason. This movie was not a serious movie, but one of puppy love. Its similar to movies such as The Last Song, Letters to Juliet, Dear John, the Vow and the Lucky One. While these movies aren't all that serious and have a lot of depth, they're a good light happy movie that you'll walk away feeling happy from. I actually thought the acting was very good, and the movie was actually pleasant, and something I would definitely see again. I mean what do people expect when they go to watch a movie called 'Endless Love', honestly of course its going to be a cheesy love story about a girl and a guy falling in love. I mean thats what the whole story is about, so if you don't like a good old fashioned love story than this isn't for you. I will say that it is more of a girls type of movie than a guys movie, but thats not to say that a guy would not like it to. I rate this movie about a 7/10. It is a good movie, not great, but it is a cute love story that was a good pick for me and my girlfriends to see on valentines Day. Happy Watching.

Reign (2013–2017)

It's a good show!! Great acting from Adelaide! I give it a thumbs up!!!

For me personally, I am really enjoying the relatively new TV show Reign, regardless of the inaccuracy of the historical facts. I started watching it due to the fact that I am waiting for the new season of Game of Thrones (now it's a brilliant show) to come out and was pleasantly surprised by how good it is. Now it may not be historically accurate, or have the same depth as a show like Game of Thrones but I still love it! It is one of those shows that you can get addicted to quite easily because of the love triangle between Mary, Francis and Bash ( i am rooting for Francis!!!) Its one of those shows that something interesting happens every episode and you don't get bored from. I am really hoping they continue the show as I have heard rumors that it is not as popular as they'd hoped, and may not last long. But honestly give it a go! You might be pleasantly surprised by how much you actually do like this show! P.S I'm loving actress Adelaide Kane!!! She's probably one of my new favourite actresses!! I often when watching movies or TV shows judge the acting, but when i'm watching her I get completely lost in the show!!! At the moment I would rate it about an 7-8/10 due to the fact that while the love triangle is what pulled me in, it can get a little old, especially since Mary loves Francis in one episode and then in the next is claiming she has an 'open heart' and loves Bash. Get your head together girl and pick one!! Preferably Francis.... Plus i heard there's going to be sparks flying between Francis and Lola, yet I thought at one stage she was going to end up with Bash... confusing. But none the less this show is great!! And is worth watching :)

Game of Thrones (2011–2019)

Amazing - I absolutely love it

I can honestly not fault the Game of Thrones. It took me along time to give in to all the people telling me to watch it, as i thought I would hate a show that focused around the years of Kings and Queens and dragons. I have never been interested in a show that is situated in a completely different time to our own. But i was SO wrong in thinking that I would hate it, in fact i'd go as far as to say I love this show. It is honestly brilliant. While I have not read the books, I have read many reviews and apparently the show is very very similar to the books. Which proves it is true to the story and obviously a great adaptation of George Martins brilliant books ( he seriously needs to hurry up and finish the books). The only negative comment I have of this story is the fact that Rob Stark and his wife and baby died.... Rob was my favourite character and I hate how easily he was killed off. But honestly while I hate they did this, I like how it depicts this time, and how no one is safe... because in most shows our favourite characters usually survive, but in Game of Thrones that is just not true. It doesn't matter who the character is, in fact Im sure all the main characters will die. And while its sad, it makes you forget you are watching a TV show, and you easily lose yourself in the story.

Without a doubt in my mind, I would highly recommend this show! It is completely brilliant and a nice change from so many shows we watch today. It has changed my preferences of TV shows and movies so much, that now I am searching for shows that are a little similar to it. Right now I'm watching the show Reign, and i can't wait to introduce myself to a whole new genre of books, movies and TV shows. It really does change your opinion on what you think you like, all the while making you feel about 100000 emotions while you're watching it.

If you have any doubts, don't. You will not be disappointed in watching this show :) I give it about 10000 thumbs up. Happy reading/watching.
