Cheese in the Trap (2016)
Eh..
I don't think so. I love the manhwa series. The main girl is likeable and relatable but in the drama... seriously?? Why though? I feel like they dumbed down Seoul. Yeah in the beginning she just let everyone pick on her and I remember her growing though. I'm only in the 3rd episode and I'm frustrated. The acting is good, though but I don't like how the characters are protested. I think the only spot on characters are Bora and ahyoung, but other than that, it's a no. I like how complex the main male lead is and every character is complex in the manhwa, but they changed the story around and I know when doing an adaptation the story should have differences, but to me it's too different idk. I'm not feeling it.
Artemis Fowl (2020)
What did I just watch?
I watched the whole thing and felt like I wasted my time. Honestly the movie was confusing. This is my first review by the way. Anyway, movie just confused me. I read the synopsis for the movie and the plot sounded good so I decided to check it out. I haven't read the books but I do want to read them just because the plot sounds good. The movie just made me feel like I missed something. I was confused because Artemis is supposed to be some kind of genius and when he had his "plan" I was questioning his genius because it wasn't there. He didn't plan anything that would make me believe this kid was a supposed genius type. Holly literally became friends with Artemis as he had just kidnapped her...uh why? Even Mulch randomly appears in the house and suddenly becomes friends with the whole "gang." And when Butler dies...there was just me going "are you serious?" Cause Artemis has no emotion for when the butler guy dies and neither does holly and the scene did not make me sad, it just made me go oh...they aren't going to kill a character off, though and lo and behold they didn't because holly got her magic unblocked and was able to save butler. Eh..ok then. Yeah this movie just made me literally think, "what did I just watch?"
