Blue Valentine (2010)

A Devastating and Beautiful romance.

Blue Valentine is one of the most intense emotional rare romance flick. Michelle Williams and Ryan Gosling steal the show. This is not just a movie, it's a powerful, unforgettable , bitter and sad experience, not at all just a movie.

This movie has excellent casting and directing. Michelle Williams and her chemistry with Gosling is incredible. Brilliant screenplay and a different kinda directing by Derek Cianfrance , he's telling a beautiful tale. Every scene from this movie is memorable, starting from Dean's daughter's singing and up until Dean and Cindy search for his ring. Therefore I can tell that, This is a complete movie. As everyone is saying, this movie really needs a wide audience. It's sad that it has got NC-17.

"Girls spend their whole life looking for Prince Charming and then they marry the guy who's got a good job and is gonna stick around." How true.

Unlike other movies, this tells how easy it is to fall in love and how tough is to maintain the relationship . It deals with the things happening in the real life instead of some superheroes saving Earth from aliens and i think that's what matters. Even though you feel sad, it's much better to watch a movie like this 10 times rather than watching a mediocre action scientific-fiction action flick. At the end, this movie leaves you sad, heartbroken and confused with an open ending.

The Place Beyond the Pines (2012)

Movie that takes you Beyond !!!

This is the most interesting, memorable and chilling movie of the year so far.. !!

"The place beyond the pines" is a another excellent movie by the "Blue Valentine" director Derek Cianfrance.. He wrote and directed this movie and i'm glad to say that he nailed it again.. !! This movie is absolute brilliance. Ryan Gosling as Luke is really good,He's such a different actor and Bradley Cooper does his job nice. so far i think it's the best acting performance by Eva Mendes. This movie explores about couple's relationship and relationship between fathers and sons. It is delivered in a brilliant way !!

It is really sad that very less people watch these movies and it is not commercially acclaimed. But still the best of 2013 so far.

Man of Steel (2013)

Just an attempt by Zack Snyder to reboot an old movie.. even though MAN OF STEEL had glorious effects, mediocre script is a set back..

Starting from the first scene it manages to attract the audience,, but fails to keep it till the end.. In acting category everybody has done their best. Henry Cavill has done a good macho Superman, Michael Shannon is perfect.Amy Adams, Russel Crowe and Kevin Costner did a great job in their small roles. When it comes to visual effects, it probably beats THE AVENGERS.. It has an excellent background score,, Hans Zimmer has done it again.. But because of old and less attractive script it fails.. What they have done is good, but the only thing is 'it could have done better'.. With Nolan's production the expectations were very high.. It fails to manage the hype.. But in the end may be "THIS IS THE BEST REBOOT POSSIBLE" Still it is a good popcorn blockbuster.. 6.5/10
