Suspenseful, beautifully shot, nostalgic gem
5 September 2020
First things first: This is not a horror movie, despite Amazon Prime's own tag. This is a very indie, nostalgic, well shot and thrilling story with some awesome voices (Billy, I'm looking at you!). You won't find big budget CGI or amazing shots but what they managed to do in 91mins with the low budget they must have had is really good. I was engrossed from minute 10 and was at the edge of my seat to follow the story. Go see it with an open mind, no expectations and with childlike wonder and I promise the movie will leave you astonished. Well done cast & crew!

Moving and well acted
2 June 2020
Saw this via YouTube's We are One festival and loved it. It feels very authentic, the actresses are all very good and has a very relatable and moving story. Highly recommend, you will find out a lot about 1990s Macau and how hard life was.

Quite forgettable

Not a bad effort and some interesting direction choices but all I could think of was the director trying to copy Tarantino but the characters are making completely illogical choices to move the plot forward.

Zumbo's Just Desserts (2016–2020)

Absolutely brilliant and delicious show!
13 November 2017
I loved loved loved watching this - really amazing desserts with some real characters, some you will love and some you will haaaaate. Rachel Khoo was trying to liven it up a bit, but Zumbo and Gigi didn't really know how to do an entertainment show - which is absolutely fine as they are chefs! I really was invested in the contestants by the end but most importantly the desserts they made were so beautiful and inspired me to start baking. Watch it in the background while cooking or when you need some inspiration.

Start listening now!

Excellent audio drama, great character drama, amazing sound production, gripping story. You will be there with the characters from episode 1! Go start listening now.

Wayland Productions made a really unique revival of audio drama format, and what a great one! You will absolutely love and hate some of the characters and don't be worried when you are pressing on the next episode at 2am...we've all done it. I listened on my commute, while cooking, brushing my teeth, exercising, eating, working, etc. I might have cancelled a few social events the last week and said I had other important things to do...Went through 48 hours of goodness in one week and now I'm looking for any and all info on the next project from these people.

Life Happens (2011)

Surprisingly likable and feel-good. I actually thought the girls did a good job with it as well
28 December 2013
It showed up on my Netflix watchlist after devouring Krysten Ritter's two seasons of highly entertaining Don't trust the B in apartment 23. I was looking for a light girly movie and L!fe happens delivered. I thought the story was surprisingly decent, and Krysten, Kate and even Rachel were pretty good in their limited roles. I recommend it, it was quite funny, girly, and for me at least a little thought-provoking about single mothers without being too drama and tears about it. And of course all the girls look gorgeous even with baby puke on them :) Nice little movie about friendship, plans not working out, motherhood and happy endings.

The feel-series of the year
14 September 2013
An absolutely adorable feel-good series, should have never been cancelled. Very likable characters and small town story, enjoyed every minute of it. Dakota (Kate)and Nat(Ben) are brilliant, Maggie(Maddie), Lucy(B.J) and Echo(Tommy) are equally lovely. Only a short 16 episodes season, go watch it right now. A sibling/family comedy is a nice breath of fresh air nowadays. Nothing forced about the acting and situations, all the humor is very smartly integrated and played out. Great use of guest stars as well, particularly loved Brittany Snow. The little Maddie is very cute, of course very wise for her age as it is most of the time in TV land, BJ is gold in every scene and Tommy is possibly my favourite character. Go watch it. Now. Bravo.
