Daria (2020)
Just Wow
Where to start with this movie. First things first, the acting and pacing of it is immaculate. It keeps you in and at the edge of your seat without feeling rushed or bogged down. The line between insanity and reality are tied in a beautiful and impressive way that keeps you guessing all the way to the end. It's the kind of movie you can't watch just once and really you will want to see it again and again just to see and experience it. If any flaw can be found, I would have loved more of it. But that's my own preference for longer movies and nothing really against the movie's own quality. I can't recommend it enough.
The Old Winter (2014)
Heartbreaking
This movie is heartbreaking and masterfully done. From the acting to the music it pulls you in and tears you to pieces. Alphie is so tragic and everything she goes through makes you feel for her and want to protect her. Asa is an example of the qualities of a good old man that no longer exists in this world. Harold is the picture of consumer greed and its desire to always want more even at the detriment of those around it. Jack is that person we all know. A snake in the garden masquerading as something else waiting for its moment to strike. I highly recommend this movie. Be prepared to cry, curse, and want to fight someone though.
