Locke & Key: The Premiere (2021)
Good start
I've been enjoying this so far. It isn't the most brilliant show ever, but it's pretty good.
I've been reading the other reviews, and find it funny how predictable how the anti-woke police are. Uncle Duncan was openly gay last season, speaking comfortably about needing to get home to his partner Brian. This isn't new; they just weren't paying attention, I guess.
Reservation Dogs: Come and Get Your Love (2021)
Community policing for real
It's a lovely episode, showing a community based cop who is really trying to do good in the world. He clearly knows his neighbors well, and wants to help them do the right thing more than he wants to make arrests. It's a caring depiction of people's everyday ups and downs, and the cop who is trying to help them through it all.
American Horror Stories: The Naughty List (2021)
I'm sorry more people didn't enjoy this
If you aren't in the mood for some pretty dark humor, this will not be your happy place. For me, it was just the thing. I laughed out loud. (No, I did not LOL. I laughed. Out loud.)
It is disturbing and gruesome, and if you are willing to go along for the ride, the payoff is sickly delightful. Danny Trejo is now my favorite Santa.
The Muppet Show: Steve Martin (1977)
Epic.
In every way. Don't read descriptions, just ride along.
(Just trying to meet the 150 character minimum here. Nothing to see here. Really. The show is over.)
Waffles + Mochi: Pickles (2021)
Love it
The singing pickle is fire, and the time machine? Fantabulous. I gotta go eat some pickles now.
The Night Listener (2006)
Touched my heart
One of Robin Williams' many underrated dramas. I'm sorry it went largely unappreciated.
American Horror Story: Valerie Solanas Died for Your Sins: Scumbag (2017)
Not pointless
It's unfortunate that so many reviewers have decreed this episode pointless or unnecessary. These reviews have been posted by people who clearly haven't watched the whole season. Yes, at this point in the narrative it might be difficult to understand how this storyline fits in, but roll with it. All the pieces come together by the end. You may or may not appreciate the final picture, but I assure you, there will be one.
The Walking Dead: Honor (2018)
Thanks, Chandler.
I won't rehash the episode, because that's been done. Many people are outraged by Carl's death, claiming that it's pointless or strays too far from the comics. I thought it was obvious that Carl would have to exit in some way, simply because Chandler Riggs is aging out of the role. In the show, each season does not cover a year in story. Chandler was aging far too fast for his character. He is a wonderful actor, and at this point, no one could replace him to ensure that his character remains an appropriate age. Obviously, they couldn't maintain the pretense that he was just maturing quickly forever. Since he had to go at some point, I appreciate that he was given a very loving sendoff. I am sorry to see Chandler Riggs go, and wish him the best in his future career. Thank you, Chandler, for giving us all so many years of your youth.
