Chef's Kiss

One of the perfect episodes. I've been rewatching this series to follow along with podcast. I originally watched when I was growing up & watched it all the way through once it was on ABC Family. I think season 3 is my favorite & this one made me laugh and cry. I specifically remember how this episode made me feel years later. You really feel the love & feel rewarded. There will never be another Loralei & Rory. Plus sets up future plots. Perfect with a bow on it. Pun intended.

There are very few shows that hold up after rewatches and time goes by but this is definitely one of them. The casting for this show was spot on and up to this point I wouldn't change a thing.

Worth The Watch
4 September 2022
I really enjoyed this movie as someone that doesn't know a lot about Elvis and wasn't alive during this time period. It was interesting & the acting was great. Tom Hanks' character was insanely dislikable, which I think is the first time he ever played a dislikable person in my memory. Austin Butler was great. I do feel like the run time was a little bit long (2 hrs 40) and the very beginning was kind of chaotic and a little hard to follow. I wish they had put scenes in of Elvis originally getting signed so we knew how that went. Otherwise really recommend to someone who's a fan or not. I definitely have a lot more empathy for him after this movie.

Underwhelmed

Warning: Spoilers
I loved the Jurassic Park trilogy and the JW movies so I was waiting in anticipation for this movies for YEARS through all the delays. I'm not sure if I set my expectations too high or what but this movie was actually a major disappointment for me being a fan. I think the first Jurassic World movie was the best of the series; the second one set up a good plot point though with the animals now being released around the world so that people would have to live among them. This movie did not address that storyline whatsoever. I feel like they tried to use the time between the movies as a time jump so that it didn't really make sense and the movie focusing mostly on locusts and not on dinosaurs was very weird to me. Like the dinosaurs were a side character not the focus of the movie. I think the main problem with this was the script. The CGI was pretty good the acting was fine - not spectacular. The plot was lacking for me & lackluster. I loved Chris Pratt's character in the other movies and I feel like they took away all of his edge in this one and really had him have basically no personality. I will say there are some good action scenes and a lot of the fighting/dinosaur scenes were exact replicas basically from the other movies so you will either like that or hate it. For me though it was definitely a let down after anticipating this so much. I just spent $30 to buy it to stream it at home and was pretty disappointed with the whole experience. I feel like I'm not alone in this. Also I think my rating is very generous.

Love This Show
19 July 2022
I am so beyond bummed that got canceled. Please Netflix or another network pick it up!! The cast is great and the chemistry of everyone felt really natural. I absolutely loved the characters and this is such an easy watch that you can throw on & watch episode by episode or binge. The show handles some heavy topics but also has lots of laughs. I was really looking forward to season 2 & where the plot would take us. Really hope someone picks this up.

Season One Is Amazing
28 June 2022
Season one is soooo good. It's an edge of your seat thriller with great acting, writing and characters. To me I wasn't expecting how it played out. I'd give season one a 9 or 10 but overall my score lowers to an 8 because season two wasn't terrible but nowhere near as good. It felt unnecessary and like most shows with a great season one it was nowhere near comparable. If you haven't watched this, I suggest watching the first season for sure and you can decide if you want to be done with it or keep going yourself.

Side note, visual affects and wardrobe/makeup did a great job in all of this.

Enjoyable Watch
19 June 2022
I'm going to preface I did not read the books- and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I threw it on as something to watch an episode of and ended up binging it. It's a really easy watch. The soundtrack is amazing!

I'm a woman in my 30s - probably not the target audience but I enjoyed the adult and teen story lines. I read The To All the Boys books by Jenny Han & was very upset the 2nd & 3rd movie were so diff from the books so I understand people being upset by changed storylines.

No spoilers but the last episode made me bawl my eyes out. I'm excited for season 2.

Fun Upbeat Show

Warning: Spoilers
I LOVED this show the first 6 seasons. So much so that I'd watch it when it came out at night & re-watch it when I had breakfast the next day to enjoy it again. The vibe was very reminiscent of Sex & the City (same creator, Darren Star). I think the actor was great and LOVE Sutton Foster as Liza. The last season fell flat and felt mediocre to me. I wish they had waited longer to film, maybe it would have been better then? I know Covid caused a lot of delays but Zane & Diana were sorely missed & giving Lauren's character a bigger role did not even it out. Also Quinn was insufferable. The letter which was such a huge deal at the end of season 6 felt like it never happened in season 7 and drove me nuts and felt like Josh's story between 6 and 7 became inconsistent. I wish the ending was more concrete for Liza. After 7 seasons of who will she pick, we got a no and what felt like a maybe. Still definitely worth a watch but the end was a letdown for a devoted fan. Also reminiscent to SATC....

Genuinely Good

Warning: Spoilers
I really enjoyed this episode & it felt the most reminiscent of the original HIMYM. I never thought the show was bad but felt it's been getting it's footing and this was the best episode yet. I'm rooting for Sophie and Jesse so this episode made me happy. Also I loved seeing Leighton Meester.

Unwatchable

I rarely start some thing and cannot finish it but this one is that one show. The main character is so extremely unlikable and such a nasty person and I could not get behind her. As someone that loves fashion and understands the hustle a lot of people thought I would like the show but I cannot stand it just because she morally seems like a horrible human being. I did not read the book I bought it and decided not to read it because of the show.

Just Wow

Warning: Spoilers
This is the best SVU episode I've seen in a long long time! And I love the show but the newer seasons don't grasp me as much as the old ones normally. This episode had so many great surprises and they really brought out the big guns. So many great guest stars. Am I the only one who was so sad to see Amaro go? I loved Liv's flashbacks and am now trying to remember if those episodes existed and I forgot about them after so many episodes (even rewatches). Definitely a great one. The episode felt really well shot and I loved the character development, especially after we've known her for so so long.

Must Watch
28 March 2021
Wow this had me glued to my seat. I was so invested in the main character Cassie and watching this story unfold. Carey Mulligan did a fantastic job. The music was perfection! It brought me back to the 2000s and was a perfect pairing. I'm still unsure how I feel about the ending, which is why I currently rated this an 8. I was 10/10 but am so shocked by the end I can't decide if this was a good or bad shock. Either way, addresses really important topics in totally new lights. The movie is a mix of genres & unlike anything else you've seen before. Definitely not one you'll forget anytime soon.
