Brahma Janen Gopon Kommoti (2020)
A direct slap on some of the jinx of our society.
Brahma Janen Gopon Kommoti - story inspired by Smt. Nandini Bhowmik's life, is an absolute pick for Women's Day. Stared by my personal favourite Ritabhari Chakraborty ran her own show with the support of Soham Majumdar portrayed a perfect husband-wife (name of Bikramaditya and Sarbari aka Panchali) in an imperfect society.
This movie was a direct slap on some of the jinx of our society. And I can't afford to miss it's points:
1. Cast System - Brahmin cannot marry a lower cast.
2. Women Enlightenment - Only a Brahmin Man is allowed to be a priest.
3. Periods - A women can't enter in temples or worship Gods when she is in her periods.
4. NO Kanyadaan - A girl is not a thing or money that can be donated as "Daan". Like a boy a girl also choose her mate with equal rights.
And it ended with two good messages:
1. A woman can do anything if she is determined.
2. In life you will find so many good and bad things happening around you. You should always consider those good things to grow up and ignore the bad parts and move on.
Dark (2017)
What we know is a Drop, what we do not know is an Ocean.
DARK hreview: "The End is the Beginning and the Beginning is the end. Everything is connected." - Adam.
After completing this epic series, couldn't resist of sharing my experience.
Being a physics lover I enjoyed the show. Not to worry about the characters as we proceed with the show, everything will get connected each other.
A show that played with 3 factors - Time, Space and Dark matter. A timeline spread approx 3 centuries with it's people in a small city named Winden, showed how they are connected in a never ending cycle. It may play our minds with different times and different dimensions but the good part is at the end it will come to a point when everything will make sense without a single question left unanswered.
Tips : 1. Do not miss a single dialogues in all three seasons.
2. Do not forget the character chain over the ages. If required make a list of all families in a diary.
Dark has totally 26 episodes divided in three seasons 10-8-8. The more we watch the more questions will arise, as it says here "What we know is a Drop, what we do not know is an Ocean".
Dil Bechara (2020)
Dil Bechara - a journey of two lives that's about to end
Life is not fair always. Like a day and night our time is also limited and nobody knows what lies tomorrow. So the best course of choice should always be how we are living today. Each and every moment counts and make the best out of it.
With an adaption of best selling novel "The Fault in Our Star", I started watching "Dil Bechara" with a strong mindset. But the story is so tempting and emotional that I fell into it no matter how many times I watch. It tells the story of two cancer patients Sushant Singh Rajput as Immanuel Rajkumar Junior aka Manny and Sanjana Sanghi as Kizie Basu are battling death with a dream in their eyes of a new beginning. The supporting role of Swastika Mukherjee and Saswata Chatterjee are justified the character as Mr. and Mrs. Basu with their brilliant performance. A plot in Jamshedpur directed by Mukesh Chhabra has broke the Bollywood's conception of Happy Ever After.
As the last movie of late Sushant Singh Rajput, Dil Bechara will always have a special place in our heart. One such scene comes in the film's second half, in a cameo appearance of Saif Ali Khan said "khud ko marna sala illegal hai, toh jeena hi padta hai" (Its illegal to kill yourself, so you have to live), wish Sushant would've followed this line in his real life.
