Futurama (1999)
BEST SERIES.....EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
futurama is (or sadly was) the smartest, funniest, most exciting television program ever. Brainchild of the brilliant Matt Groening, animated by some of the most talented animators working today (with the notable exception of the japanese), voiced by some of the most talented members of the Hollywood voice over community, a long and impressive list of guest star's and some of the most consistent, brilliant and intelligent dialog of almost any television show in my memory. With 5 great seasons and 72 hilarious episodes, in my humble (and introverted and bitter) opinion is firmly set on the throne of best television show ever (if you are still reading this i feel very sorry for you)
13th Child (2002)
why cant cryptozoologists get any decent movies?
seriously?! with the exception of "the mothman prophecies" there has never been one single decently entertaining cryptozoologicaly based movie ever made, and this film is a perfect example of bad cryptozoological movies. First of all the writer/s had little respect for the actual ledgend of the jersey devil, but thats the least of the movies problems, the actors (except for the old dude who was controlling the devil, the only decent proformance in the entire movie) were awful, the dialog sounds like it was written by some directors cousin who thinks he knows a thing or two about hollywood screenplays, i dont want to sound like a bitter militant movie buff but i do want people to give the field of cryptozoology the respect it deserves, and if it keeps getting bad movies made about it like this the public will be far less likely to accept it in the field of mainstream science (i know the odds of that actualy happening are slim.......but still) hopefuly hollywoods thinning creativity will turn out a decent cryptozoologily themed movie in the future, but I'm not going to hold my breath.
X2 (2003)
the first 5 minnutes are better than the entire first movie
the first x-men was good, but it felt like it was missing something, the second one was a lot better. it was flawed in some ways (the biggest mistake being Halle Barry lost her accent in this movie for some reason I cant explian.....anyway) but for the flaws it did have it more than made up for in incedible special effects, witty dialog and excelent acting, with excelent proformances from Hugh Jackman & Alan Cumming. And my best memories form this film will always be that this was the movie i saw with my friends instead of going to my senior prom.
Garfield's Feline Fantasies (1990)
very witty & entertaining, one of garfield's best specials
Garfield's Feline Fantasies is 30 minutes of hilarity, full of clever parodies and classic garfield humor, any fan of garfield, or fan of laughter will find Garfield's Feline Fantasies a comedy that delivers laughter and old school garfield goodness.
Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back (2001)
a fun filled final chapter for the jersey trilogy
first of all, the script was not as good as it could have been (don't think Kevin didn't know it, he broke the fourth wall in the movie any number of times) but with plenty of jokes, cameos and classic Kevin Smith dialog the movie stands solid as it is.
X-Men: Evolution (2000)
if your to young to remember the comics or original series its new to you!
i have read one slash review for this series to many, STOP COMPLAINING! IT'S JUST A TV SHOW FOR GOD SAKES!!!!!!!! how bad could it be if Marvel gave it the ok to begin with. anyway, if children watch the show and get into the x-men they will be more inclined to get into the comic's and get the original story, the entire genre will be more likely to fade into complete obscurity over the years if todays children never hear of the x-men. so if you stop watching the series from a completely bias point of view you might actually enjoy it! (for those of you who are reading this and have no idea what i am talking about just watch the show! it's good! of course you cant anymore because it's canceled, so go to amazon.com and buy the DVD's!)
