Charmed: Don't Look Back in Anger (2020)
Superb Penultimate episode. Reboot is getting better and better
***Spoiler Alert***
Gee, We've been on a frickin roll of great episodes. So happy and proud of the reboot now. Ever since episode 13 of season 2 I'd say that much.
Rupert Evans definitely showed some great directing skills. The episode was greatly written, directed and acted. The emotional scenes were superb. Loved Maggie's character development (and new power, gee!! Makes me think of Phoebe's future power in morality bites), loved Macy and Marisol's moment, but the gem in the episode is still Macy's growth from uptight to releasing all of that. That felt so good and refreshing on Macy and I'm glad they went that route.
And wow, that last scene and kiss, almost shed a tear there...
Charmed: Curse Words (2020)
This is what Charmed is about!!
Finally!! First episode I've fully enjoyed in weeks. Dark, edgy, action packed and with a lot of heart (Ray and Mel's chemistry is top notch and brings out the best in Mel's portrayal).
That's what Charmed is all about!
Plus finally some deepdive into the storyline. We had a decent explanation as to why Ray went away, tying up to season 1 reveals about Maggie. We had a great outing of Macy and Harry, with Abigael still bringing a strong dynamic and forcing Macy to realize that maybe she has not been appreciative of Harry's goodness as much as she should.
And finally a nice progress to what I hope a very interesting mystery around the black amber.
The Handmaid's Tale: Mayday (2019)
I can't even begin... Transcendent !
Everything about this episode is pure emotional bliss. Elizabeth's performance was outstanding as always. Perfect storytelling.
