The First Omen (2024)
Cinematography and Acting - 9
This movie isn't what I expected. The cinematography was incredible. The acting was on point when you consider the roles. Definitely some freakish scenes that could make some viewers uncomfortable. Again, remember this is a prequel. There weren't so much twists, as there were overwhelming fates of characters. It is incredibly interesting nonetheless and worth the watch. Also a conspiratorial look at the Vatican and what the church actually wants. POWER. The answer is always power. The idea the church will do anything against its "values" to achieve what it wants/needs to gaina following is poignant here.
Still Here (2023)
Don't waste your time
Worst movie I've seen in a while. Acting, writing, directing, production, sound production - all felt like a cliche soap opera in the most horrible ways. How do you even score a movie this poorly? Being sick is the only reason I finished watching this. I thought even Tubi could do better than this.
Alone as a drama this is cringeworthy, but then add in the ghost element? I guess if you have nearly 2 hours to waste, it's a good laugh. This easily goes on my worst movies list. These actors have done other things, so they must know how bad this turned out. It's embarrassing. Still doesn't beat Dracula 3000 for worst movie ever.
Sex and the City (1998)
Open minded for the time
Everyone on here saying this is homophobic doesn't understand what it was like then. This was allowing people to think about bisexuality and strong female power differently at the time. The "woke" people need to stfu even if it seems closed minded at this moment.
The Suicide Squad (2021)
What did I just watch?
Harley Quinn is my favorite, but this was a jumbled mess from start to finish with no clarity, barely any backstory, cheesy effects, forced dialogue and no genuine humor. What happened?!
Night Stalker: The Hunt for a Serial Killer (2021)
The reporters should apologize to the detectives
While this is a harrowing account of how serial killers flourished in the days before DNA and agencies talking to one another, I think any reporter that speaks on this show should apologize for convolution theu caused this case and making it harder for detectives to solve it faster. The reporters here gloat. It's disturbing.
