The Fundamentals of Caring (2016)
How do u comeback from continuous bad Adam Sandler movies? By making The Fundamentals Of Caring.
First let me say that I don't write reviews on IMDb often but after watching this movie and seeing how little reviews it has I had to write one. Just so that if there is any other soul looking here all confused if he/she should watch this movie or not. WATCH IT. JUST GO WATCH IT.
Alright, so plot wise it doesn't have lot of characters who just pop in and out. It has a very simple story with simple cast doing simple things and that's the beauty of it. There is no over the top emotional scenes where the cast try hard to make you feel sad but there are simple doses of heartwarming scenes sprinkled throughout the movie which made my eyes wet.
The cast was amazing. I have always liked Paul Rudd and have seen his range when it comes to acting but still he managed to surprise me in this movie. I did not expect anything from Selena Gomez but she tries and pulls of the role she is given. Craig Roberts does an excellent job like in the movie submarine (which I obviously came to know after I watched the movie with the thought "this guy looks very familiar. Where have I seen him before" running in my head the entire time.). There are two more main cast members whom I don't want to mention and give away story details does real justice to their characters too.
I didn't know the director either but he has done a really good job with this one.
All in all a really good movie. A must watch I would say.
And ya, THUMBS UP to NETFLIX for making this movie.
After (2012)
WARNING : Do not be fooled by the plot.
Greetings
Just watched this movie and I had to come here and warn people about this..
The best part about the whole movie was reading the plot on IMDb. Sounds Interesting, right?? Thats all the movie has got going for itself. I regret watching this movie and wasting 1 and half hour of my life.
The acting is terrible here. The female lead did a bit better job than the main dude. But both were terrible in the end. It could have been better if the story unravelled slowly keeping the main mystery hidden. But they just gives it away right in the beginning. After that all the tense scenes are completely spoiled by bad acting or bad script(What were they thinking by putting all those cheesy lines in there??).
The end was so horrible that it just don't make any sense at all. I mean i understood what the end was but it was just a really bad ending,Completely wrong ending. What were they trying to do with that post credit scene?
The director and the graphics team tried to make it good with what they had, but failed completely because of wrong choices.
All in all it was a terrible. If you are thinking of watching it, Please don't. Its not worth your time.its not even 1/10 th interesting as the plot sounds.
Interstellar (2014)
Memento,Prestige,Dark knight,Inception and now Interstellar. Nolan is "CRAZY"
How is this guy(Christopher Nolan)able to come up with such sexy movies one after the other??? This one(Interstellar) was one more of his masterpieces... I donot have words to explain how good this movie is . all i can say is last night from 9 to 12 was one of the best movie experience for me ever, It was like an LSD trip. After the movie i was feeling so light because of the satisfaction it gave me. There are very few movies which give you that feeling and how weird is it that most of the movies by this dude is there in that list.
About the plot, he did not make it too complicated or too simple either i mean if you know your physics it is cool if you miss some parts.Again Nolan did put in some cool paradoxes in the movie with which he love playin with our minds(which we love too).BUT WHAT MAKES THIS UNIQUE IS ITS SIMPLICITY IN COMPLEXITY, COMPLEXITY IN SIMPLICITY, THE SCIENCE OF LOVE, DESPERATION, SURVIVAL AND AMBITION.ITS NOT SCI-FI BUT IT IS HUMAN DRAMA INTERTWINED IN SPACE AND TIME LOOP.
Ultimately this movie is entertaining. There is no way Nolan can miss that. Another great thing that Nolan excels at is INSPIRING. By the time the credits rolled and people walked out, I sat there still in awe at the strong sense of human will the movie conveys. Personally, I don't think this is Nolan's best.If I had to choose one then I believe Prestige stands as his masterpiece. But with Nolan, everyone has their own favorite movie. Maybe for some, Interstellar will be their favorite movie, for it is really Nolan's most ambitious and visually-striking work and it is one of the best Sci-Fi movie i ever watched(Then again I suffer from "Nolanoia")
