The Terminator (1984)
The Start to a Great Franchise
The Terminator is a great film. Pretty much everything about it is just fantastic. Even though he hardly has any lines Arnold Schwarzzeneggar does a great job playing the terminator. In fact all of the acting in this movie is good. So that sums up the acting. Now the story of this film is what makes it and the whole franchise so great. The story is extremely complex and gets even more complex as the series goes on and Judgement Day is introduced. S this is the story. Skynet, the creator of the terminators (the machines) sent back a T-800 terminator to kill Sarah Conner. The resistance sent back Kyle Reese to protect her. Last, the special effects. Well this movie was made in 1984, so the effects are something that you would expect from a movie made in that time. So overall this is a great movie, and the start to great franchise. I definitely recommend it.

Hulk (2003)
Could have been so much better
I watched this movie with sorta high expectations, even though most people hate it. It starts out boring and slow, and I thought it would get better, but it doesn't. That is what makes it a bad movie. An example of this is that you don't see the hulk until about 40 minutes into the movie, and when you do, it's not very exciting. Another reason this movie is bad is that it's plot is thin. It hardly has any story, except the origin of the hulk and Bruce Banner's parents. That is what makes this movie hard to sit through. When I was watching this movie, I didn't like it until the end, but when it got to the climax, I hated it. This movie's climax is just plain weird. The Hulk's dad turns into this electric monster then blows up. Now onto the special effects. Now I understand that in 2003 when this movie was made, special effects were not as complex and advanced as they are now. With that information, you should know that the hulk's appearance in this movie was as good as it could be. It wasn't great, but it wasn't terrible either. So overall this movie suffers from a very weak plot, not to mention bad acting. It's only strong point was it's special effects. Do not see this movie.

Act of Valor (2012)
Surprising and Good
When I went to see this movie, I expected a decent military film, but I did remember that this movie starred navy seals. They used real tactics, based on real missions. I did not expect the acting to be very good, and it was a little above average, which is what I expected. The whole story is that the seals are looking for a terrorist named Christo. He is a drug smuggler. This is the kind of movie that thrills you with explosive action and a great plot. This is a very violent movie, and some the action is very graphic and violent. That makes it suspenseful as well. The special effects consisted mostly of explosions and stuff like that. For all that, I give it an eight out of ten as it is very enjoyable overall. I do recommend seeing it. But it is rated R so it is not recommended for children.
Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol (2011)
One the year's best movies
I had not seen any of the previous mission impossible movies when I went to see this one. I was expecting it to alright, but after I saw it I loved it. MI GP is an instant classic. Its opening sets the tone for a seemingly endless thrill ride. The plot was great. The story was wonderfully structured. I really liked the building climbing scene. The whole movie was very suspenseful. The characters were easy to understand and the main character seemed very driven. The acting was very good. Performances by Tom Cruise and Jeremy Renner were very convincing and great. The special effects were very good. They were a bit over the top but still terrific. All in all, I recommend seeing this movie when you get the chance, as it is an extremely enjoyable movie and one of 2011's best.
Transformers: Dark of the Moon (2011)
Good for the series
I liked this movie. After the first two I thought this one looked pretty good, better than the first two. It was. I was expecting a long final battle sequence. It took up almost half the movie, which was cool. The acting was pretty good, not to bad. The special effects were some of the best I had ever seen. The Oscar nominated special effects were very fluid. The explosions and fight scenes looked almost more than real. I liked the story, too. I liked the Sentinal Prime betrayal thing, but, the thing with the pillars was kinda strange. The things I didn't like about it was that it starts out slow and sort of dull. But after that it gets steadily better and better. So, for all that I give it an eight out of ten. I do recommend this movie for people who like great special effects and action.
Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance (2011)
What a series killer
I really liked the the first Ghost Rider movie. So when I when I went to see this one, my expectations were mixed, and within the first 10 minutes I was like, uh-oh, this is terrible. The camera jumped around during the action scenes. The acting and humor were ridiculous. I did like how the ghost rider's skull and jacket were burnt this time. This was not what I expected, the trailer and commercials were misleading. The filmmakers managed to turn a dark and exciting character into a complete flop. The ritual scene with the Devil and the boy was just ridiculous. So all in all, I do not recommend seeing this movie, even if the previews and commercials, do look cool. Parts where Johny Blaze tries to not turn to the ghost rider ruined it.
