Gotham (2014)
Detailed plot, Stunning cinematography, Thrilling experience!
Just watched the pilot and I daresay I've got a feeling it's gonna be a great success for the production and a treat for the viewers! Pre-Batman era never seemed so awesome! :D The plot seems elaborate and the way the story is spreading and building up suspenses, we can definitely expect a pretty epic ending. And I really don't want the ending to come anytime soon! The cinematography was absolutely awesome. Though it has a distinctive Dark Knight feeling, it also differentiates itself from any other Gotham city. The simultaneous filthy and sophisticated city is given a perfect amalgam of all other Gothams, picking the finest features! The series also has a subtle dark tone in it that really gives you a chill. The score was pretty good even for a movie, and definitely out-stands almost any TV series. The acting was well out of the league. I liked Jim Gordon's cast (Ben McKenzie). Robin Taylor (cast by Oswald Cobblepot) seemed promising too. The large chunk of antagonists would make for a great rivalry. And Falcone might as well turn out to be another mastermind villain like Jim Moriarty! And boy, wouldn't that be something! It's a Batman series without the Batman! Because he's the hero Gotham deserves, but not the one it needs right now. For now, Gotham can do with Jim Gordon! :D
How I Met Your Mother: Last Forever: Part Two (2014)
It should've ended with the, "And kids, that's how i met your mother"
At last the 9 year journey has been ended. We had been with them this whole journey, we laughed with them, we shared their grief, we learnt from them. The end should've come two years ago, but at last it's here.
It's the first TV serial I started watching back in 2010. It's the serial I rated 10/10 after finishing the 3rd season. But it's sad to say, I couldn't even rate the series finale even 5! They had all the ingredients to make a perfect ending. They could've make a happily ever after ending or a notebook ending or a nostalgic ending or a shocking ending. They did make a shocking ending though; shocking that the final moment of a series finale can suck this much! All the love for the mother they had built up in our heart, they can't just throw it away like this! Of course we wanted this ending, but that was so two seasons before! My greatest regret is why I did not stop watching after 18:14! The truthfulness of Barney made things no better, the horn had never been a more disappointing sight. But the umbrella scene couldn't be any more perfect, 'You are the love of my life' part couldn't be any more loving, the apartment scene couldn't be anymore grim. :( They made the kids scene 9 years ago, yet it never occurred to them that we might not like the ending after we've seen so much? :/ There won't be anymore waiting for Tuesday morning, downloading the newest episode after waking up. Goodbye, Ted, Barney, Marshall, Lily and... T.M. :') #HIMYMFarewell
Frankenweenie (2012)
unscientific, poor plot, stop animation, B&W
I watched the movie last night because of all the suggestions from my friends, 87% Rotten Tomatoes rating, 74% Metacritic rating and a 7 IMDb rating. But in the end, the movie disappointed me in every way possible.
First impression: The movie is a B&W, stop motion animation and the characters have weird zombie like faces. I don't understand why a movie should be entirely B&W in this millennium. And stop animation makes the movie worse!
Second impression: The movie has one of the most unscientific and illogical plot I've ever seen. Although the entire story revolves around a science project, it has little to do with science! Again the movie contains little, if any, humor which is in no way acceptable for an animated movie.
Third impression: The movie has almost no twist. A very monotonous and boring one with everything way too much predictable.
Final impression: The movie has disappointed me very much. I won't recommend anyone to watch this movie. It might've stood a chance if it was a cartoon! But unfortunately, it is not!
