White Lies (2024– )

Half good

I'm only on episode 5 atm. Natalie Dormer is fantastic in every role she portrays. This is an interesting story so far I think I've figured it out but my mind changes with each episode. The acting by other cast is pretty basic. The brother and sisters acting is really bad and at times uncomfortable to watch. If it wasn't for Natalie I don't think I'd be sitting through each episode although I need to finish so I can get through to the end.

The scenery is nice to look at, the writing could've been a little less wishy washy.

I will persevere and see if my thoughts on what the go is are right or if I'm completely wrong.

Overall I would say it's a worthy watch if only for Natalie.

The Program: Cons, Cults, and Kidnapping (2024)

Heartbreaking

This documentary cut me up the vote those poor kids and the ones still being taken into these places in the hopes of FIXING them Yes the parents are manipulated by these predators that this is the only option to fix their child. Some kids as young as 8 or 10 not in my right mind would I think an 8 year old needs fixing. Children are children teens are teens some act up done don't not one child is ever the same as another so why think complete unprofessional adults can FIX them and make them normal.

What horrifies me the most is the ones at the top of this food chain are living the high life on the back of children's broken souls.

Even worse is people in the public eye like Dr Phil still promote these places daily.

Boy Swallows Universe (2024)

What a great Aussie drama series loved it from the first 5 mins in. Only thing that stopped it getting a 10/10 for me was after Frankie got released, Eli grew up, Gus seemed to stay same age and the reporter Caitlin, didn't age a bit.

That's the only scenario that bothered me Other than that absolute fantastic series but the Aussies yet again

Phoebe Tonkin was fantastic as always.

Felix Cameron what a little superstar.

Travis Fimmel amazing.

Lee Halley amazing

Simon Baker awesome didn't even recognise him in the beginning.

Bryan Brown 'superstar"

Highly recommend this great series it's one to binge.

Robbie Williams (2023)

Eye opening

Oh Robbie I just want to give you a big hug 🤗 The British press are evil they ruin peoples lives it's just so heartbreaking watching the story of how they broke Robbie down.

He is a true entertainer who has spanned years and years from Take That to forge such an amazing solo career.

You either love him or hate him the ones who hate I feel have been swayed by the British tabloids who want to tear him down because he's so good.

Ayda what a shining light she is in his life to help him out of the dark tunnel he was heading in to.

The reunion between him and Take that was a beautiful moment to have seen on screen

Loved the documentary and for all you people saying he's a narcissist do you even understand why his documentary is filmed this way 10/10 for me highly recommend.

Sweet Magnolias (2020– )

I really enjoyed the first season of this. It had highs lows and all the juicy drama in between couldn't wait for season two to start. But that's where it all started falling away the storyline went wacko the characters all became cringyworthy and it started to become more and more like a bad hallmark movie. I don't know if the writers got bored or just had no idea how to continue each character's storyline. Then comes season three I'm half way through and it's just getting even worse there's absolutely no chemistry between any of the three main couples it just seems like they put them together and said your a couple now be a couple it's so uncomfortable to watch the lack of compatibility. They all have careers but none seem to actually do a full days work sorry but it's lost me as a viewer I just can't.

What an incredible waste of time this was.

I had such a big expectation that this would be great especially because of Rachel Weis but no not even her impeccable acting could save it.

Predictable from the opening scene. Lots of wasted time no real story to follow. I think in my opinion it was just made to shock at the lengths some will go to.

The housekeeper 🤔🤔no real answers except that's she was just as fu&$;d up as Beverly and Elliot.

It definitely had potential but to me it just seemed like a jumbled mess of fill-in scenes and story lines to keep it going.

Definitely not a series I would recommend.

Black Snow (2022– )

Good storyline

I'm enjoying show. The 'famous' actors all play great roles and act their parts flawlessly it's just a shame the same can't be said for the young actors, they say their lines like they're reading them off of the paper.

It was excellently written and I think I may have enjoyed it more if it was acted better. Still I did finish it and binged it over a couple of nights.

Australian shows seem to have a reputation of being underdone and cheaply made. The acting by the younger cast and Izzy's family especially adult Hazel may be the downfall it was just so forced and at times overacted which made it worse.

But I'd still recommend to others if they can put up with some bad acting.

The Son (2017–2019)

Magnificent

I went in to this show blind yes I found it years after it was made One: Pierce Brosnon outstanding. Jacob Lofland outstanding Zahn McClarnon absolutely outstanding Two: I had no idea what to expect but pleasantly surprised it had a mixture of family turmoil family loyalty family love cowboys and Indians I myself was swayed towards the Indians.

My only negative is that it only got two seasons when honestly they could have continued with two maybe three more here's hoping one day someone picks it up and continues the McCullough family history. There is so much more to see.

Highly recommend A++ for me

Pleasantly surprised

I must admit I was sceptical going in but have thoroughly been sucked in. Have loved every episode with one exception the actor playing the journalist is like listening to and watching cardboard. He has no personality this is the one reason I give it 9 stars instead of 10. I just can't understand why he was cast in the role. Lestat, Louis and Claudia exceptional.

I was unsure how a series would go after being such a fan of the movie although many years old now. As much as I despise Tom Cruise he did do the role justice in the movie.

I highly recommend this series

Devil in Ohio (2022)

Bad

Yes I'm only on episode 6 but I just can't get over how bad the acting is I'm truely surprised how bad Emily Deschanel iso this loved her in bones but she is just soooooo basic.

The story line has so much potential but it just seems to be another badly acted teenage drama no way could you call this adult horror.

Such a disappointment I had high hopes for this one but sadly it just couldn't deliver.

I really don't see it getting picked up for another season if that's what they're aiming for.

Still I'll keep searching and holding out hope for a new series that will live up to all the hype but this one is not worth your time.

Dangerous (III) (2021)

Only positive about this movie is Kevin Durand and that's because he is eye candy 100% I'm sure he is ageing backwards But the whole movie is badly written no direction Acting by everyone is sooooo bad. Was a struggle to watch but I persisted hoping it would get better sadly it didn't.

I'm not sure whether I enjoyed it it was watchable but the fact that Casey Affleck mumbles through the whole movie I don't think I understood anything he was saying He's a good actor but this isn't one of his finest.

Trash Truck (2020–2021)

My 17month old grandson is absolutely addicted to this show when he comes to visit he gets the tv remote and points at the tv and says truck truck.

Absolutely beautiful show for kids of all ages.

Coming Home in the Dark (2021)

I f gave liked anything that Daniel Gillies has been in since the originals but this movie got me. Daniel as a New Zealander was absolutely on point he nailed it. Erik Thomson was fantastic.

About 20 mins in what happens took me completely by surprise didn't see that coming or expect it 😱 The past always comes back to haunt you Highly recommended A++++acting by all.

Nine Perfect Strangers (2021)

I was highly anticipating this series but sadly Nicole Kidmans performance ruined each and every episode Bobby Carnevale and Melissa McCartney were the only two who kept me watching.

It was all over the place with no direction at all 3/10 was a stretch.

I thoroughly enjoyed this I think more so for the twist it starts off slow but once the twist is revealed it definitely picks up and I couldn't stop watching.

I absolutely loved season 1 and couldn't wait for season 2.

No explanation of why they all left the arena grounds at end of season 1. And why they're all separated again.

The back and forth second season wasn't as engaging as season 1. I continued watching till end but was left unimpressed especially after such a long wait between seasons.

If it is renewed for a third I hope the writers change their story writing skills.

Great movie Denzel at his finest he can do no wrong Rami on the other hand I don't get all the hype no expression or personality in the role I think he's stuck in the Freddie persona. Jared Leto amazing yet again Highly recommended watching The Little Things.

What an awesome series this had me hooked straight away The actors were cast exceptionally well each one took their roles and made you become invested in each wholly. So many times throughout I thought I could pick the twist but it just kept me guessing right till the end Please be another season I need to see more

Each and everyone one of the people in this remake should hang their heads in shame what an absolute horrendous remark of a beautiful story/movie. Both main actresses performances were pitiful it was as if they had the script in their hands and they were reading off it. Absolutely no personality and no emotion at all it was embarrassing to watch them try to act. Horrendous
