Supernatural: Game Night (2019)
Sigh
Show forgets Dean tortured people for 10 years in hell and was taught by the best. A crucial part of his character. Oh and Jack might be evil again this plot wasn't done to death last season. And Sam dies, again. What's even the point when we know he's back the same episode (which he was). I have dropped this show twice before (season 8 and earlier in 14) and I'm only back because it's ending, otherwise this episode would have made me drop it again.
Supernatural: Let the Good Times Roll (2018)
Do they even care anymore?
Not since season 7 and 8 has there been a more disappointing finale, this season on the whole was quite good but they really dropped the ball here. The wire fight was bad, but I do appreciate them trying to show an angel fight but the worst thing was the fact that Michael (with his TRUE VESSEL) and an even more powerful Lucifer didn't break a single tile in the room when they fought. This fight was supposed to torch the planet, hell it torched the alternate earth we saw, the entire reason Dean kept saying no in season 5 to Michael was because the Planet would essentially be destroyed. For gods sake they used clips from 5, that was the whole thing with season 5 it boggles my mind that they just forget this detail. I just don't understand I really don't. I get they can't destroy the planet in the show, but cmon THAT WAS THE ENTIRE STRUGGLE OF SEASON 5, LITERALLY THE ONLY REASON DEAN SAID NO TO MICHAEL! I'll also add Dean being surprised Michael double crossed him is really friggin funny.
I'll continue watching because overall this season has been good but this finale was just sloppy trash, at least Lucifer is finally dead so his character can stop being run into the ground by being turned into a joke...
Supernatural: The Thing (2018)
AT LAST *SPOILERS*
I'm sure many of us have been waiting for this, I for one am glad to FINALLY see some cultist action and eldritch horrors! I'm hoping that this is a sign of things to come, and we will soon be done with the angels! Davy Perez hasn't written a bad episode yet and has shown that he cares about the lore and potential of the Supernatural universe, I haven't felt this excited about the future of the show in a long time!
My only complaint is having Yogoth give a monologue in a meatsuit, I feel some things are a bit above having to do that, surely Dean is just an ant in comparison? These beings ate their own universe, it takes away from it when you have a poorly delivered monologue about being sad your Eldritch love interest wasnt summoned with you. If you want to do Lovecraft, these things and their motives are supposed to be incomprehensible to mere mortals. Anyway by now it's to be expected, but its no excuse and was a tad disappointing, shoot higher guys! Otherwise great episode!
